What will u advice someone who is traveling to Australia with Tourist visa?
Can the person have access to work?

If your aim was to work on your tourist visa, sorry to disappoint: YOU CAN'T
It's either you agent lied to you or didn't give you all the details about your visa.

Hello everyone,
I know this is the wrong thread but i asked on student visa thread and noone answered
I have read on this thread that studying in regional areas can boost your chance of PR.
I studied accounting in my bsc and i saw some courses like Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Health (3 years professional experience- Torrens University

Flinders University-Master of Business Administration and Master Health Administration (2years)

Uni of Tasmania-Master of Information Technology and Systems-
James cook uni- Master of Information Technology- Master of Business Administration (MIT- MBA) 2years

All these courses have health or IT which i read is in high demand
My question is after studying any of these I hope my bsc in accounting will not be an issue when applying for PR since accountants are not needed?

Please help me respond so I know what to do
@edkai @solitin @aussiejoan @joan00 @bellong and other people who have been contributing their knowledge
Thank you

While it's true that studying in a regional area will give you more points. I don't see why your BSc in accounting should be an issue if you don't use it while assessing for PR (except if you plan to) and go with the one that'll increase your chances.
However you'll have some convincing to do (especially when switching from accounting to something health related; visa related though, I think)
That's just my opinion though.

Wait for the experts to give their verdict. tongue

Thank you @aussiejoan for your reply
Will it be easier to switch to information technology then?
Since IT is also on skills list

Apply for visa with your Bsc degree, you can always switch school and course over here.

I am sure my reply is irrelevant at the moment, as you may have already been to Australia and returned to your country of residence. My advise to anyone planning this route in the future is - avoid the temptation of working. You will be risking a 3yrs + ban (the truth is that if caught you may not be able to reenter Aus in the future).

Apply for another visa offshore while you still have a current tourist visa. It does help in way of accelerating your visa application.

BORDERS OPENING
Finally some good news we've all been waiting for. International borders will be opening on the 1st of November. While priority will be given to Australian citizens and permanent residents. The federal government has assured everyone that international citizens will be next in line. Some select groups of international students such as those in the Health Sector and HDR students will be given preference over other students to start coming into the country by November/December 2021. While other students will be allowed into the country before the first semester resumes in 2022 .

P.S For those coming into NSW and Victoria you're going to be the first on the queue. If your destination is WA sorry ohhh!!! grin grin grin grin grin

Good day Beautiful people,
I guess as a result of the borders being closed, the thread has been quite inactive. Please, persons in Australia should do well to continue to provide us with information which will help intending travelers as I believe the past 2 years has come along with some differences over there.
As we await the positive news of Borders opening from the 15th of the month I am hoping to be in Australia (Adelaide) by the end of the month.
Please is there anyone currently in Adelaide willing to assist me in transitioning easily to the culture there as I honestly don’t have an acquaintance over there at the moment.

PS. This thread is more informative than we think, our people in the UK have something similar and it helps them a lot.
