Not every coach can work with juniors o.

CHAN team is a start, then Olympics team

Finidi has experience working with youngsters and has been begging the NFF for the opportunity. My take is for him to coach the U17 and take them up until the U23.

My hommies , your head correct, jare!

A honest question brothers ; should we rest Ndidi , since he has continued to flounder , and ?

I , personally , feel Ndidi is slowing the team down with with his poor ball playing skills. What do you say ?

I think the coaching system of the National team in recent years held back Ndidi. Let us see how he fares under a new system. We might like what we see.

Well, I think working with a club setup is less tedious than the national setup.

I think me and humility are less long term thinking than you o. Abi humility33 are you thinking long term cheesy

The Goodjoe I think you credit too much to this video as a statement of Eguavoen's philosophy. Eguavoen dwelt more on the playing style of the 94 squad. One can hardly make much of his philosophy from this video to warrant the way you have been attributing a lot to his philosophy.

That video is a breakdown of the system he believes in. Do not just look at it as the 94 squad playing style but a breakdown of the philosophy of the manager.

It is called referencing, not comparison. I am showing you that Guardiola got the Barcelona job without a loaded CV. He got it down to his philosophy and playing pattern.

So I am more interested in philosophy and coaching pattern over CV .

How you read that as comparing Guardiola and Eguavoen is shocking.

Without a UEFA pro license, you can’t coach in any Europe top league. Definitely, Guardiola had a CV before he coached Barcelona B and Barcelona. Gbam!

Let me do a few pointers of what I deduced as the philosophy of Eguavoen.

Expansive play:
I think this makes a big part of his philosophy. His key is to make the field big for the opposition and make it easy to build up play to force attacks.

Attacking wing play:
Eguavoen will likely want highly technical wingers running down his flanks, with creative fullbacks that can support them.

Possessive play:
We should expect a lot of passing games, especially when the opposition are compact with a low block.

Building from the back:
Eguavoen will likely want his defenders, goalkeeper, and defensive midfielder working the ball out the back to create space for attacks.

Direct attack:
We should expect long balls to find the offensive players pressed high. So we should expect the defender, goalkeeper, defenders, and deep-lying playmaker to see gaps in front and exploit it with long balls.

Defending and attacking as a unit:
Every player from the attacker to the defenders will play as a unit. Meaning when attacking, we will likely have a high line, and when defending, everybody will fall back to form a low/mid-block.

Running game:
To attack and defend as a unit, we will expect him to pick players that have stamina and pace. So they can join up in attack with ease and trackback quickly to prevent the opposition from exploiting spaces.

Key attributes for his players:
He did not complete it but gave us the acronym. SSIT and WATCH.

He broke down SSIT.

Which is he wants his players to possess a combination of attributes. Speed, Stamina, Intelligence, and Technique. Meaning having a high degree of some of these attributes will get you a chance with the team.

Attacking football:
I think the main crust of his game will be on attacking football. We will keep the ball until we see gaps and as soon as we find the gaps, we will exploit them with speed.

There are more from the video but I only watched it once. So I will stop here.

You can not even coach an academy in Spain without a UEFA pro license. So that is not the Gbam.

The point is having a decorated CV to coach one of the biggest clubs in the world. Guardiola did not have the CV to match such a job.

Most of the stuffs he outlined are pretty much basic.

Only one thing that stood out to me is having a spine in the team. I am curious to see which players would make up this spine. from GK to attack. Only Osimhen to me comes to mind as the kind of players that fit the description.

As regards the acronym, that pretty much basic stuff.

We all know the fact aigbogun have a UEFA A level license
Even Rohr but we have nothing to say about Austin
No record and I repeat no record of attending a coaching academy.

Aigbogun has stepped up to UEFA pro License.

Eguavoen definitely has a UEFA license but I don’t know if it is A, B or Pro.

I have been trying to decipher it.

I think W is Workrate
A
T is Tactical understanding
C is Creativity
H is height.

I wonder what A is. For height, I think you need to be in a particular height to play in a particular zone.

For creativity, I think the role and skill set of a player will determine if he takes such a position.

Tactical understanding will mean players must have an understanding of his tactics before getting a nod. So those who already know it have an advantage.

Workrate means offensive and defensive contribution. If a player can not contribute on both sides of the field, the person will not get a nod.

I might be wrong. Just guessing.

Let us say he has picked the right players based on it.
Let's see how that translates to the pitch.

Stop fooling yourself. You made it look as if Guardiola had no coaching CV before he became Barcelona coach.

Guardiola obtained a UEFA license before he could coach Barcelona B team and it’s definitely part of his CV, mr man.

Guardiola built on it by winning the fourth tier of Spanish league with Barcelona B team and being a former player, he got the job.

Stop coming here to fool people with yen yen philosophy.

Would Guardiola had been qualified to get the job without a coaching license CV?

Please learn to read before arguing. I clearly stated without a DECORATED CV.

How that translates to no CV baffles me. Or you do not understand what decorated CV is?

Even when Laporta told Guardiola he would give him the job, Guardiola told him he does not have the balls to take such a decision.

Please, the point is DECORATED CV.
