Season greetings to you all.
Please I am new here.

I would like to know if I can use my uncle's bank statement as a proof of fund. Please note that we don't share the same surname.

Also, can I use a letter of approved student loan as a proof of fund?

Thank you.

Your uncle should show commitment by either transferring your living expense to your account and attaching a gift deed or paying part of your tuition fees.

You can use AN APPROVED STUDENT LOAN as proof of funds but you need to include your own bank statement for living expense.

Please, I would like to ask.... I plan to travel with my kids (4.5years old, and 2 years old) to meet my wife who is on a study permit in January 2022. I am fully vaccinated and on work permit but the kids are not due to their age. Do the kids require a written authorization to enter Canada? For those that travelled with kids less than 5 years old, please, what was it like at POE? Help a brother with this information

Your wife is on a study permit, you are on a work permit

Have your kids applied for either study or visiting or they are US citizens?

Did you get visit visa for your kids?
If yes, did you request travel restriction exemption for them before their visa got approved?
Thanks

Hello Sandra

I will advise you to get your details from your so-called agent, you are supposed to know what is going on with your application..

As the case of an applicant here who got refused with a 5-year ban and got to know about the BAN 5 months later through her GCMS notes simply cos, the agent kept mute about her application to her.. After which she confronted the agent and the agent had to confess to her..

Once an application is refused, these agents won't disclose it to their clients, and the applicant will think his/her application is still going on..

That applicant got to know about her BAN through her GCMS notes, if not she would have been waiting till forever..

So meet up with your agent and get your details, if he is still insisting on not dropping your login details, then tell him to screenshot your portal, so you can see the status of your application..

Peace

Travel restriction was applicable when there was a travel ban. I dont think it works now

You need a written authorization from ncdc saying the kids are excepted from being vaccinated.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Iffylove: 11:55am On Dec 27, 2021
But not applicable now right?
Because I applied together with my son, my study visa got approved over 2 weeks now, but my son's visit visa has not been approved. I planned travelling first week in January, so I read about people applying for travel restriction exemption before their visit visa got approved.
So I don't know maybe that's the reason why my son's has not been t approved yet.

Your son app will be approved as long as you both applied together that is you are the primary applicant while his is the secondary.

You just need to keep disturbing them via mails stating the importance of why you can't leave your son behind to travel.

Noted. Thank you

Include an affidavit of sponsorship from your uncle pointing out the commitment I posted earlier.

The affidavit should have info on how he is related to your family and his reasons of sponsoring despite the huge financial burden it will cost him, business and his family.

I wouldnt know but chill other gurus might proffer alternative options for you.

But I think the facility that turned down administering the vaccine to the kids would do that. At least the facility gained authorization from ncdc to administer vaccines.

Anon123:

A standard SOP should cover these areas.

1) Introduction
As an applicant it is good to introduce yourself, hobbies, skills and aspirations which guided you towards your academic/professional journey.

2) Why the course.
In this section, you are to buttress more on the section 1 which aligns with your decision to choose the course you are going for. In addition, you are to talk about your work experience, professional certification (if any) how it relates to the intended course and its benefits to you, your company or nation.

3) why the school.
Normal gist. Google can do this for you.

4)Finance
Here you explain how much is readily available to you to cover your fees, living expense. Who your is and the relationship. Any lump sum in on the account, you explain those too with evidence/reason for the amount. Its important you do this, cos the Visa officer will assume you are just dumping money for the purpose of the application and not because its available. You are also expected to include your own bank statement housing your living expense at least.

5) Hometies
As an applicant applying for a study permit(temporary residence) it is expected you have reasons to return to your home of residence after your allowed stay. Items like family, business, assets or work are valid reasons.

6) Plans after studies.
As a graduate of so so course, what are your plans wit the course(realistic plans) with long long or short terms possibility of achieving.

It Is also important you sound convincing on your SOP thats what increases your chances of an apprpval.
NB: following this rule does not guarantee an approval as people have gotten approved with less than this. Therefore do what you can with this and leave the rest to God.

The primary applicant is meant to write this. If your husband is applying for a sowp, he needs to explain his motives of wanting to join you.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by makano: 12:30pm On Dec 27, 2021
Hello matthew

As regards GIC, I can't remember any of the IRCC regulations for Nigerian applications which state that applicants should have their living expenses in a GIC. The instruction was that applicants or sponsors should show proof of available funds in their various bank accounts. I would say that you guys are going way beyond the requirements by opening and depositing funds in GIC. This is not a requirement for Nigerians rather for citizens of India, Brazil, Pakistan, China, and other related countries with an economic partnership agreement with the Canadian government. In a nutshell, having a GIC does not in any way mean you will get an approval.

We have seen many applicants here sharing their approval timelines without GIC in their timeline... Many apply without GIC and they get approved..

With or without GIC, an applicant can still get approved..

Peace

It will end in praise
