Go back to the thread and see what we were doing as at 17th May 2021. It’ll give you ideas of why the contract can’t be completed on the specified date.

That’s why I’d rather have you go through all valid datas, ask questions from both parties before making assertions. It doesn’t speak well of a pro to jump into conclusion based on a one-sided account.

You’re just doing a job of a prosecution counsel instead of a non-bias valuer.

I’m sure you remember the reason we couldn’t raise the other side of the wall was because we wanted trucks delivering filling sand to access the site through that part since we’ve blocked the access point to the site.

I’m also sure you didn’t forget that all the materials for the raft foundation has been prepared as at May 2021 and we were busy waiting for one thing or the other to happen for us to raise the security house. This includes but not limited to approved design from you because there was no agreed design.

I’m sure you are aware that the trucks couldn’t gain access into the site anymore when we wanted to sandfill the frontal part of the land because the estate has commenced digging of drainages and this delayed the construction of the front wall.

Then there was omo-onile and suppliers issue that took us off for additional few days.

Then logistics issues from the supplier of Sandfilling and the plumbers delay.

I must not forget the Lagos State Building Control delay as well. Just in case you forgot. That’s why they marked the kitchen entrance side.

Quit beating about the bush. The QS posted the status of the uncompleted SH as at 28th Sept earlier on.

Lasbca delayed for how many hours?

For the records, the process of refund started long before the termination of the contract.

I already made a refund of N50,000 transferred to me by my client as a support for the broken atrium glass back to the client when issues started manifesting.
Till moment, my fund for a replacement glass (paid in August) is still with the glass supplier in Ajah around GTBank Addo road. I can always pick up anytime I have something around the place or give them to friends/colleagues/family who need it.

To avoid stories, I offered to make a complete refund for the glass in my submission despite the fact that the cause of the damage wasn’t my fault.

I’ve also talked to my client about we resolving major issues first and find a common ground on irreconcilable differences but it seems I’m not doing well enough.

Some weeks back I sent a payment for a missing borehole pump to my client to order a new replacement borehole pump because the one we got for the project was missing and we didn’t use it during the project lifetime. We use NextHome water pumps during construction.

I didn’t deliberately stall anything. I’m not just ready to pay for what I don’t owe.

Do you even understand what being fair mean when you can be comfortable stalling a project for months with ready-made excuses for everything?.

Everyone can see what has been posted and are in a better position to state what is fair.

Nothing was ever left undone. The project was still ongoing when you decided to terminate the contract and I’ve never asked you for additional sum on any of the items that we’ve agreed on.
So I don’t want you to assume my position.

I already made contact with a well known roofer here several months (July 2021) before the termination. He has sent in his installer for measurement ( I paid for his logistics), submitted his quote and was waiting for the date we are going to do the installation. He didn’t bill me up to N1m neither did he change his price months after.

I was once told the valuation of the security house was 43% of the 1,400,000 paid and when asked to explain how these figures were arrived at, I heard stories.

When asked to justify the above, this is what I got from the QS.

Here’s my submission on the issue of steel trusses.

The subcontractors quote supersedes mine and we have to remove the cost of roofing materials and workmanship in my bill which we did.

Why am I still seeing the cost of woodwork in the valuation?

I once again demand an open explanation.

Assuming woodwork will be included, “Would anyone have paid a carpenter N150k just to nail N120k noggin woods?” It arexse going to install wood on steel trusses?

This is just of the too many errors.

As if that wasn’t enough, why are you still pushing the responsibility of fixing the steel trusses on me when you know fully well that it was handled by a subcontractor and we offered to fix it at no cost to you under supervision of whoever is making claims that things weren’t done right.

When claims are to be made by my client, the current cost of materials and how inflation has killed almost everything matters....

But when it’s time to value what was done and what was on site, the market price doesn’t count.
