Well, there are situations where the documents are not with TLS.
For mine, a decision had been made since first week of December. Visited TLS for my document all to no avail.
When I sent an escalation email, UKVI confirmed in their response that my case had been escalated to the relevant department, considering that it’s beyond 15 working days for my visa type.

Nchabuomo:

If you already know a decision has been made then you do not need to email UKVI again. If you applied for the visa in Nigeria you should visit the TLS centre you gave your biometrics, your passport might be there.

Hello all,

It’s been over a month since I requested for refund for the settlement priority service and I am yet to get the refund.

I need advice on what to do next. For context, I paid for super priority service for my settlement visa application only to be told at tls Vi that the service is not available and I have to seek a refund. My application was later treated as standard.

Open a domiciliary account with any bank, fund it, then you should be able to pay(ensure to ask the bank if you would be able to carry out such transaction and amount when setting up your account).

you could decide to create a paga account, I read somewhere on here in previous threads about paga offering such services( mind you, Please, I am not personally aware how this option works and if it does work though)

you could ask a friend or family member abroad to help you do the payment.

thank you

You'll need a pre-departure covid test, you'll also need to book day 2 covid test ahead for when you arrive the uk. Don't forget to take the vaccine card evidencing your fully vaccinated status.

Thank you. Pls do you know where one can do the COVID pre departure test in Lagos at an affordable price and the recognised one accepted. Thank you

Good day
Please kindly visit previous threads, you would find links or email address for paid services.. However, you might want to know that the best response you will get would be an automated response, as visa decisions/outcome are NEVER discussed on telephone/mails, you might be better excising a bit of patience.

Thanks

To be honest with you, I don't understand what you are saying. Muddle what is Op doing anything illegal? Honestly, this is not a complex issue, Op wanted to know if he can extend his visa while in the UK for the sole purpose of writing PLAB. The answer is yes, you can. Op please do whatever you please. You can come to the UK and extend your visa to stay and write your exam. It is legal and the law allows for it. Your extension will most likely be granted once you make a clear application. You can also decide not to travel and reapply for another visa.

When you can extend your stay
You may be able to extend your stay if you have permission to be in the UK for less than 6 months. You can extend your stay up to a total of 6 months.

You can only apply to stay in the UK for longer than 6 months if you’re:

a patient receiving medical treatment
an academic and you still meet the eligibility requirements
a graduate retaking the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB) test or doing a clinical attachment
You must apply to extend your stay and pay the £993 fee regardless of your nationality.

You need to apply while you’re still in the UK and before your current visa or permission expires.

I never said you can't extend your visa for retaking a PLAB exams(I said i don't think it falls to a life or death scenario or emergency, further, i stated may not be treated as one or not approved). And yes all visa extension whilst the home office is yet to make a decision you are not illegally resident in the UK, but if the decision goes against the applicant a time frame is given to leave the UK either willingly or forcefully( but again that would be the sole discretion of the UK Home office as to what time frame you are given, and if you are given a less time frame such that you are unable to gather money and purchase a ticket back home or take the exams, you could eventually end up over staying your visit).

2. The user is coming here for PLAB 2, which means that (s)he must have taken IELTS exams and passed which is valid for 2 years, PLAB 1 and passed (which is valid for 3 years). It thus means (s)he could take PLAB 2 anytime within this period in the UK. I would also like to point out that PLAB 2 is taken almost every month in the UK unless last year and this year were exams dates as had to be canceled or postponed until a later time due to the pandemic, thereby causing backlogs of intended candidates who are ripe for this exams. Initially, in the UK had only one center which was in Manchester city were you have GMC and could take PLAB 2, but recently the GMC have added a center in London so as to accommodate more candidates who wish to take the exams. The GMC is particularly aware that due to the pandemic, some candidates have missed out on their intended dates of exams, visa issues and some candidates who had been in the UK already and were running out of visas were given some grace period of extension so as to be able to take the exams and in some cases were given extension to validity of PLAB 1 exams so candidates could complete their process.

If the GMC is aware of all these and making strides to see that candidates do not loose money and are able to complete the process, given these points above, I do not see why my colleague would choose an invasive option of approach at this point. As a Dr, he/she understands that for every medical treatment or management a physician is supposed to start with less expensive and non invasive examination and treatment approach. But to premeditate at this premature time an idea of extending a visa to take the PLAB 2 exam is complex to me taking into consideration that the Dr has not even arrived the UK yet and suddenly had the exams postponed when he was supposed to take the exams as such making it a necessary option. Even, though there is shortage of medical workers and the NHS open to IMG, this does not give you a 100% ride through the immigration process.

Finally, any category of visa, an immigrant can apply for a visa extension whilst in the UK for a sole purpose(s) best known to him/her and decisions are taken by the UK home office on individual cases. Like you earlier mentioned in every visa application a candidate should try and keep a clean and simple application, that rule applies beyond and perhaps for a visa extension, I don't see on probability of doubt why he/she would want to muddle his/her medical career pathway to the UK with a visa extension not when further process will involve the UK Home office and GMC

There is no London venue oh, the GMC only allows the plab 2 to be written in Manchester, in either of the two buildings on hardman street or on hardman square

Like @giselle237 rightly suggested, leave it for now. I would say a few years, maybe 2 or 3. use that time to try and travel to other places. You have a decent income threshold don't keep looking for sponsors it might become a red flag especially if these sponsors are not in any "meaningful" relationship with you. Keep a clean account and use your other accounts for other runs you do. Go to Dubai, Turkey, France anywhere and reapply after a bit.

I know it might not be what you want to hear but you have to exercise some patience and repackage your whole application.

Good morning people

Airside transit
Airside transit is when you do not pass through UK border control. You remain ‘airside’ before you leave the UK on your connecting journey.

You need to take a COVID-19 test before you travel to England.

You do not need to complete a passenger locator form before travel to England.

When you are in England you do not need to quarantine or take any COVID-19 travel tests.

Landside transit
Landside transit is when you pass through UK border control on arrival, but you leave the UK shortly after (usually within 24 hours). You may leave from the same airport, railway station or port where you arrived, or from a different one, so long as you travel directly to that port of departure.

You need to take a COVID-19 test before you travel to England.

You must complete a passenger locator form before you travel to England.

You need to do the following when you complete your passenger locator form.

select ‘Stay in the UK’ under the Your travel plans section
reply ‘I will be travelling for an exempt reason’ to the question about whether you are required to self-isolate on arrival
select the Exemption options, and then select ‘Transit Exemption’
This includes if you are transiting onto the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. You may need to show evidence of onward travel and where you will be staying at the border.

When you are in England you do not need to quarantine or take any COVID-19 travel tests.

You must either:

remain within your port of entry until your departure from England
travel directly from your port of entry to another port of departure in England
