In a Church ,A member Recently had an Event ...Her Junior sister just got Married ...The Member Handpicked two Members of the Church who followed her . The Pastor of the Church was not Happy about it ,He told the Secretary to announce that next time any member has a Function/ Party ,The person must inform the Church and members that would attend the Event must be selected . Please i need your Input on this No one knows all.. Questions : Is it wrong for a member to invite other members of a Church to an Event without informing the Pastor ? Must all Relationship , Engagement of the members especially social be known by the Pastor ? Thanks .. |

The Church is the Pastors personal business and he is expected to call the shots na. Religion and indoctrination is all about CONTROL. Stop giving your power to men who are just like you. |

gnhpowerhouse: Yes it is wrong. So far your relationship with those people started under same umbrella (the church). It's not just about you, but about the fact that the Pastor is accountable even to the society, for everyone who are truly under him. If anything happens to those people, we will start here, A CARELESS PASTOR ALLOWS A MEMBER OF... USE ANOTHER MEMBER FOR.... gnhpowerhouse:Your association with anybody, regardless of where he worships is absolutely a private matter. It's non of his business. Except things that has to do with activities in that church. If you allow any man to enslave you for his selfish interest, you would realize it later in life that you've cheated yourself. A serious pastor will concern himself with worship and spiritual things, not private affairs. The bible does not empower any pastor to decide for you who to invite as friends that worship together with you. |

oranget:The pastor is definitely trying to arrogate to himself, powers that he has no right to. It's very important that people don't allow themselves to be mentally enslaved by such ignorant, so-called pastors. |

Comedian2019: I am not sure you understand what you just wrote. When you see most things as manipulative, you end up hurting yourself more. I am not sure you know the circumstances of church leadership beyond feeling being manipulated. The greatest protection you can have in church gathering is from a sincere Pastor who follows every activities and relationship that goes on in that church. The church is a public place and everyone is welcome. Don't put yourself in harms way or be a source of derailing another man's work in the name of freedom. Most times, the information the pastor has about members, no member has 1% of it. Such information is to be used to protect and help you. I am sure you won't practice what you wrote up there if given such opportunity. Know this know peace. 1 Like |
