Savagecontents:The first time when the FG's budget hit trillion was 2006, When Obasanjo presented 1.5 trillion 2007 appropriation bill to the National Assembly. Many Nigerians were afraid that the money is too much, as it may lead to inflation. About 15 years after, that amount is what a state wants to spend while FG is proposing 17 trillion. |

It is expected anyway, do you guys know how many boys don pack their bagco sack ready to follow "bloda" down to Lagos after the holidays? Do you know how many ABOKIs are ferris into Lagos daily by those cow trailers? Not to talk of togolese and beninuos. Funny thing is all those states emptying into Lagos have budgets and receive monthly allocations, still they can't match Lagos stride and no one ask those governor's what they do with their revenues.... 6 Likes |

But seriously. It will be nice to see the breakdown. I'll like to see what the house increased the budget by 27%(1.38 ~1.758). Haba!! We can safely say that the house prepared and approved the budget not the executive. Something is amiss. |

jamesversion: For them to have such huge budget means they have a robust plans to finance, with the hope that whatever plans they are financing will bring a revenue greater than the budgeted plan. Compared to other states, how many others usually have such budget for the new year? More reason why Lagos no be anybody mate. Because I don’t understand why you asked me to read up the meaning of budget. 1 Like |
The Lagos State House of Assembly on Wednesday evening passed the year 2022 budget estimate with a slight increase of the grand total from the initial N1.38 trillion to N1.758 trillion. N1.758 trillion - N1.38 trillion = N378 Billion (21% Slightly Added!) You legit skipped the part where they said Yishawu, after the plenary, explained that the total budget size passed has addition of left overs from the previous allocations in the 2021 budget. |
