Honestly I thought 28 man list must emerged from 40 man list but we saw two outsider in Nwakili and Olisa Ndah in the team.....definitely questions must be asked, why the duo making the team at the expense of invited players.....I don't know maybe Eguavoen had press conference after the list came out to defend the inclusion of Nwakili and Olisa.

But from my own point of view,Rohr was sacked for tactical reason and Eguavoen must have studied the team tacticaly prompted listing of Nwakili and Olisa in the team....meaning the two players have significant roles to play cos seeing them on the bench in Afcon will put a question mark on Eguavoen decision.

My man let's wait and see what will happen in Afcon, after then will evaluate Eguavoen tactical decisions.

Cc. Kogs45

You meant to tell me you are lost to the reason Eguavon invited Nwakali

grin grin But Steven Caulker was cleared to represent Sierra Leone in less than 3 months. Is it no longer Nigeria we are talking of? NFF can only deceive those they want to deceive.
Okay FIFA head of switch committee, what is delaying the switch?

You mean 30year old Stephen Caulker from the almighty Gaziantep, Turkey?

So you think if we decided to go for Sammy Ameobi(same league as Caulker, quality wise) that we can not get him within a week just as we did his brother? Guy be logical by appreciating the word "value" or "usefulness"
grin grin So the English FA process people's switch quicker if the player is older? Hahahaha. Don't forget Lookman might also pay the customary egunje to Immigration officials to get his passport if he hasn't gotten one already.

When it comes to Ndah, from the clips I have seen his short passing skills. Which look very sound and I can see why Eguavoen will want him in the team. I guess we are going to do a lot of heavy-passing build up play and I think at some point Eguavoen might turn to him.

I have not watched much of Akpoguma to judge him on that but maybe with Ekong, Balogun, and Awaziem, Eguavoen feels he needs a defender with a different playing pattern.

Maybe he feels okay with the above and feels Akpoguma will not offer much different from them.

Honestly , I have not see much of Nda to assess him adequately but from the glimpses of the video you posted Olisa handles the ball , so beautifully. This is my mind of player -like Awaziem and Ebuehi.

I want to see the pairings of Nda-Awaziem.

But they clarified the process started 1-2months ago. Someone even posted it here then.
Lookman has been cleared to represent Nigeria, is it today that the official NFF handle started lying over issues.

Why did Mancini drop a respected, top Premier league shot stopper, Shay Given for a lowly Birmingham Goalkeeper, Joe Hart? No serious coach will do that.

Why will Keshi start a home based Oboabona for a Super Eagles/Premier League long serving Defender Yobo. No serious coach will do that.

You are not making any sense with using club football as example ,change that narrative abeg

So joe hart was a Birmingham GK and mancity GK at the same time or man city is a national team having both players ?

Precisely. Let us hope the players arrive early to camp to give the coach time to work with them.

By the way, I was not the one that shared the video. I commented on it. Either way, I like Ndah's movement and short passes. Sweet to see a Nigerian defender play that way.

Would you pick Ndah over Akpoguma ?

Whether National team or club is not the point.

The point is that Shay Given was amongst the best keepers in the Premier League but Mancini preferred the skills set of a Goalkeeper who was sent on loan for Shay Given to Birmingham.

Ronaldinho has far more quality on the ball than Roman Riquelme. Pellegrini said he prefers Riquelme over Ronaldinho. Why?

Riquelme suits his tactical plan.

Tactics rules today. If your quality does not meet the tactics, it is no use to the coach.
yeah, Graham Porter prefers Bissouma over Kante, like he can afford him

In both cases both Shay Given and Joe Hart had the stats to back up their performances. GoodJoe which stat does Nwakali and Ndah have? They both have less that 30 games combined this season

Shouting nonsense will not change the point. It is football, quality and tactics.

By the way, did Keshi not drop a highly rated Yobo for Oboabona and Omeruo? I guess that is club football.

Which stat did Joe Hart have? Birmingham stat? We are talking of the best shot stopper in the Premier league over a Birmingham player.

By the way, which stats did Busquets have to get picked ahead of Seydou Keita and Yaya Toure?

Remember when Eguavoen was announced as coach, I said I am most interested in his philosophy.

Fortunately for us he did that video and unlike lots of coaches, we have an idea into his mind.

One thing he talked about was a midfielder dictating play from deep with long balls.

I doubt that anyone here can not guess the player that has this skillset. As soon as he said it, I understood why Kelz Nwakali is important to him.

Then he talked about building from the back with passes. Keep in mind, Rohr has been terrible with this. Over the years we did not work on it.

In that Ndah clip someone posted, I watched his movement during short passes and his decision making during the process. I said to myself, no wonder Eguavoen wants him in camp.

So, it is still my view from what I have studied. I will prefer any opposite view to come with tactical or strategic backing.

So simple

I don’t even need to shout nonsense when the nonsense point is clear everywhere

So yobo was 25 then and didn’t make the afcon squad ? Wow ,so yobo didn’t play a single game at the afcon , wow

Yobo was no more highly rated during the 2013 afcon ,Everton yobo was the highly rated one .

Akwa United vs Gombe United

Gombe were very unlucky they really should have been up 2 goals at half time. But at the end they made a costly mistake and lost. Nice npfl action all around

no boss. Given was 34, Hart was 23 and was named the goal keeper of the season while at Birmingham plus he was England NT GK, big clubs were beginning to inquire about him plus Hart wanted to either be the starting GK or move to a big club. Almost the same as the Courtois/Cech issue

Joe Hart was expected to go on loan. Despite doing well for Birmingham, Shay Given was still number one and equally had a good season. 34 years is equally not old for a goalkeeper.

By the way, just checked the stats, Cech had 17 clean sheets, while Hart had 10. So Cech was clearly the better keeper. Although that was also down to the club.

Either way, the guy in Birmingham was preferred over the guy in Manchester City.

So using clubs is not the only criterion.

We need more than saying because he plays in Hoffenheim, and this guy plays in Pirates means Hoffenheim must start ahead. It does not work like that.

Thanks for the PFA Keeper of the year info. did not remember that.

The future of Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure continues to be the subject of much discussion, and the Ivorian's agent has now stoked the flames after he revealed that his client has almost made his mind up to leave.

With the likes of Xavi, Sergio Busquets and Seydou Keita ahead of Toure in Pep Guardiola's pecking order, Dmitri Seluk believes that the best move for all concerned is to allow the 27-year-old to leave for the Premier League.
