Let’s not call our brother a “fraud” without evidence. Personally, I disagree with some of his selections but calling him fraud without any corroborative evidence is wrong.. remember that Keshi used homegrown talent like oboabona and mba ahead of established players like igiebor and yobo and still won an ANC..
Okay Bro

It is just so annoying when some hardworking players get overlooked

Some of you are forgetting Eguavoen was the on-field captain of Clemens Westerhof when we won the AFCON in 1994. So he had a big understanding of the tactics and it plays a big part in the way the team will pray.

I am hoping for the best of the team and pray the guys do very well in the competition.

I am not just praying for Eguavoen to have a good tournament. I am praying for the team to win that cup. That is my hope and prayer.

I wonder what yours is.

I pray God grants us victory.
I want the team to succeed thats why I am so concerned but i see him toiling Rohr path already and that scares me

Any coach with fair and unbiased team selection with little knowledge of tactics and team cohesion can achieve much wit the super eagles

How did he toll the path of Rohr? This man does not even have time to coach the team. Less than two weeks for a major tournament.

He needs praise for innovation. All of us here would have gone Akpoguma, Ebuehi, Dessers etc and filled the team with our preferred choices.

We would not consider team cohesion, team spirit, leadership, team morale etc.

Eguavoen made it clear that there is no time. So he will work with the team on ground. That is the regulars. So they can focus on other things.

So why is he getting the blame. Rohr had five years to build a team. What will Eguavoen do in few weeks?

As much as people don't like it, He made the right call.

If not propose a better option. He wants a player that plays long diagonal balls. Should he drop his philosophy?

. Classical case of emotive bias prejudice grin I am not sure Dessers has played in any competitive match for us against any opposition muchless African Opposition. Last time I checked, he is not as good as Awoniyi or osimhen, meaning he won't start matches, he won't even be our second choice center forward... Why do we need to invite another center forward just for the bench? Someone who has no experience in African football, it will be a waste of slot for us.
The match Akpoguma played against siera Leone in Uyo, we all cursed him after the match ( all of us who watched in the same place ) his wing was responsible for most of the goals, because uncle Rohr decided to play him at right back, when we had Aina on the bench, he had a very very poor game, the much maligned shehu Abdullahi has never had any game as poor as that for us at right back.. yet Akpoguma is easily forgiven! Why? Emotive bias!
Ebuehi's predicament is Rohr's fault, he is barely tested in GWG.
So I don't understand all the wailing from folks here undecided

So it was Jose Peseiro the new Eagles coach that gave Awaziem his debut in Porto, so we might likely see more of Awaziem in our starting lineup

Just pray this Equeavon does not flop
Because with this tactics you guys are using to defend his lopsided list

A man that spend minutes talk on how the 1994 team plays instead of revealing his own team tactics and approach to games but instead all he was dishing out was westerwolf tactics and team play.

I am not worried..been that after afcon he will be replaced and when Pinnick leaves him and Aigbogun will leave with him

Some of this Indigenous Coaches always proves the fraud and corrupt nature that have limited their progress all this while

Right in Leicester you will see the Kolou Toure cutting it in coaching same with Yaya Toure in Russia and Frimpong in Switzerland and many other Africa countries ex players but for our ex internationals nothing of such to be attached to them....all they talk when opportune reveal team tactics is to reveal how the 1994 team plays as if the 1994 team won a world cup or even got to the semi finals of the mundial

Keep raising the embers of mediocrity will remind u when the Coach You're busy defending shows how inept he is
You are beginning to sound like a broken record, what’s lopsided about the team list? That your favorite players like Dessers, kelvin and Ebuehi didn’t make the team list, is that why the list is lopsided?

Rohr that invited these guys never gave any of them a chance to showcase what they can do, now you are referring to coach that has less that 2 weeks to prepare for a major tournament as a fraud.

I told you before, you need to get a firm grip of your emotions, you are a man for crying out loud.

How’s he a fraud? The man only invited two new players to the team, the bulk of the team is made up of players whom have been playing together for the last five years.

You want him to make changes when we have less than two weeks to a tournament? The time frame is too short for a major team overhaul, cut him some slack.

Like IDENNA said prejudice needs no qualification. Contextual usage will tell if it is positive or negative and nowadays it is used more in the negative so that qualifying it as negative prejudice when the context already depicts that it is used in the sense of bias against a thing or person or circumstances is superfluous.

Health concerns, injuries constrain changes to Nigeria’s final 28-man list for AFCON 2021

Lively forward Victor Osimhen’s positive test to the coronavirus pandemic a couple of days ago and injury to the versatile Abdullahi Shehu have constrained changes to Nigeria’s final 28-man list for the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations starting in Cameroon next weekend.

The goalkeeping department is untouched, but the forced exclusion of Cyprus –based Shehu, who can slot easily into sections of the defence and midfield, has made way for hard-as-nails right back Tyrone Ebuehi, now with Venezia in the Italian Serie A, and England –based Oluwasemilogo Ajayi returns to the group for Africa’s flagship football championship following injury to centre-back Leon Balogun. Ajayi can also play as a midfielder.

Osimhen’s absence paves way for Greece-based Henry Onyekuru who was also at the last finals in Egypt. In-form rapid raider Emmanuel Dennis, whose English Premiership club is baring fangs, has been excused to provide room for Czech Republic –based forward Peter Olayinka.

The 33rd Africa Cup of Nations finals will end on 6th February.

SUPER EAGLES’ SQUAD FOR 33RD AFCON CAMEROON 2021

Goalkeepers: Francis Uzoho (AC Omonia, Cyprus); John Noble (Enyimba FC); Daniel Akpeyi (Kaizer Chiefs, South Africa); Maduka Okoye (Sparta Rotterdam, The Netherlands)

Defenders: Chidozie Awaziem (Alanyaspor FC, Turkey); Kenneth Omeruo (CD Leganes, Spain); Oluwasemilogo Ajayi (West Bromwich Albion, England); William Ekong (Watford FC, England); Olaoluwa Aina (Torino FC, Italy); Jamilu Collins (SC Padeborn 07, Germany); Tyrone Ebuehi (Venezia FC, Italy); Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto, Portugal); Olisa Ndah (Orlando Pirates, South Africa)

Midfielders: Frank Onyeka (Brentford FC, England); Joseph Ayodele-Aribo (Galsgow Rangers, Scotland); Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City, England); Chidera Ejuke (CSKA Moscow, Russia); Kelechi Nwakali (SD Huesca, Spain)

IMO (I know TheLoneCitizen won't like this) from what I have watched of both, Sadiq is a better striker than Dessers is. Sadiq is as technical, as good a finisher, as fast (or even faster I think), much taller, much more physical and commanding etc. The only aspect I rate Dessers higher than Sadiq is in positioning and Sadiq is still not too far behind in that aspect too.

Striker's well outstanding ones are always on the move, because there is an incessant demand for strikers across all leagues.

Why then has he remained in the Segunda Division for two seasons.

A list that omitted players like Akpo, Ebuehi and Bassey for Olise, Omeruo,Collins and shehu is not lopsided to U? And also include Nwakali with no goal or assist this season

Sometimes the fact that you can't speak the truth does not mean u should berate others who dare speak the truth
As long as the Coach have not grant a press conference to explain the rationale behind those call ups the list still not acceptable to many fans

Your last paragraph shows you have a problem with the way you decode my write ups...
You really need to meet me in real life to know that what I put up here ends here and barely taken to heart or seriously.
