In his history book, Otem also said there were different flood eras in the past during the current homo sapiens epoch.

Whether that's true or not, I don't know. But the stories he gave look compelling and believable, but I've not had the time to research the claims.

Yes there are stories about the flood in many culture but the origin of the story is not far fetched. The human race all originated from Africa then spread through outward through the middle east and as they go stories are carried along, but there is no actual archeological record or scientific finding towards such global occurrence.
