Our year end summary, 2021.

Dear valued customers and friends, we hereby present to you the summary of our activities for the year ended 2021. We know you look forward to knowing how we fared in the face of the challenging economy we operated within in the outgoing year 2021.

2021 started with a lot of economic scepticism in the wake of the turbulence generated by the global pandemic, Covid-19, and as such the construction industry was shaky, as new projects were few and far between. Worries about the economy and funding for ongoing projects was prominent, and contractors and traders expressed fears of a low level of patronage in the new economic order where there was scarcity of funds as a result of lowered operations in other sectors, which reduced money circulation to the barest.

We assembled a new working team during 2021, and with this team, a lot of our work improved tremendously to the point that we are close to our targeted level of engineering process improvements. We also hope to add more good hands in the finish stages of our operations.

We are carefully optimistic of a robust working environment in the coming year 2022, even with the rumoured removal of fuel subsidy system, which might increase the level of inflation to very high levels. We are ready to take on more challenges, execute more contracts with the integrity, speed and precision we have been known for.

But in all, we experienced some appreciable level of construction activities in 2021, this was as a result of the trust our clients and customers reposed in us from previous years. In all, we worked on 14 different buildings of which 5 of them were new buildings we started in 2021. We also completed and handed over about 2 new houses in 2021, while the rest are in different stages of completion, and work is going on in almost all of them.

We thank you all for all your support in the passing year 2021, and promise to keep living up to your expectations in 2022.

I'm not too concerned about the current fraud by, surprisingly, a known serial fraudstar. Rather my concern is about 'future or yet-to-be perpetuated fraud'.

I joined this platform in 2019 and I only knew about all these after you shared the history here for several days. I read the details word for word and did my own research.

It was amazing to me that a well known vendor that I contacted here for a job confirmed all what you said but chose to keep shut. Some people are wicked in this life.

Now, what about those that are yet to join this platform?, the truth is most of them won't know. The warnings you gave are several pages behind, and that is probably why the number of victims of fraud by the same fraudstar and his accomplices will continue.

When there is no moderator, the place becomes a 'den of thieves'.

If the moderator isn't active, he should be made to or replaced.

For the first time I visited 'business section' yesterday and I was pleased with what the moderator did there. Something similar or even better should be replicated here.

First of all, Concrete cover is essential to create a bond between concrete and steel, it also help steel against corrosion and harsh weather. It is simply the clear space between the surface of concrete and the reinforcement steel.

In this context, concrete cover is the space between the ground and the BRC wiremesh.

Wiremesh should be placed at the upper third of the oversite concrete (German floor), This will help fight against shrinkage/crack which originate from the slab top.

While concrete provide compressive strength, the wiremesh provides tensile strength.

The attached is the section of the strip foundation I uploaded previously, the dark straight line under the part labeled “150mm concrete floor slab” indicates the BRC wiremesh and position.

When we are our brother’s keeper, God has a way of blessing us and making sure our own harvest is protected from locusts. Any “gains” that come from fraudulently obtaining money from others will always be fleeting because God cannot be mocked, we reap what we sow . N3xt has been on this journey for more than 10 years now with constant stories about the projects he has done and is doing yet I can bet that actual INCREASE has been negligible and that is why the merry go round continues. If fraud came with permanent rewards, we wouldn’t still be talking about him like this in 2021.

I realize that Naija continues to be tougher and the yahoo mindset has almost taken over the land, starting with our polithiefians. Do not let that distract you. Run your own race with clean hands, count your blessings and above all, embrace contentment. You don’t need to have what anyone else has. God has equipped each of us for our own personal journey. It will surprise you how much blessings will come your way through clean sweat.

Lastly, many people think I am male. No, I am a wife, a mother, an employee and many other things with a passionate dislike for fraud, especially when it comes to those that work for their money.

Contrary to allusions that have been made, I have never done business with N3xt nor anyone here for that matter. Even though we can boast of property at home and abroad, my husband and I are not real estate investors. My passion is the American stock exchange specifically the NYSE, the NASDAQ. I understand it, we have been blessed in it and continue to be blessed in it so my presence here is not about doing business but I am bothered by the amount of money that is easily lost to fraudsters. It’s not my money but that doesn’t mean I should keep quiet. Hopefully, 2022 is a better year with a lot less fraud and drama.

In case anyone is wondering, I can’t say I’ve ever been defrauded because the Nigerian guy that tried it many years ago with I think it was $12k-13k called me himself to arrange immediate return after what he went through with me. I no get juju but I’ll say “get you a wife that refuses to be quiet “

It's better if done before plastering.
Plastering makes a wall thicker and tougher.
Perforating it after plastering can cause weakness, cracks and the likes.
Note: it's harder to break a plastered wall.

As the year winds down, I would like to say a big thank you to all that contributed in one way or the other to my Lagos building project. The project was actually completed in May but I have been very busy since then, hence this late post.

Of course it was not all rosy and I will try and share some of my learnings from the project later next year. The site engineer, some artisans, the carpenter, artisans and even some family members showed me pepper, but I thank God I was very close to the project, so I was able to stop the bleedings in good time.

It is noteworthy that about 90% of the people I worked with are from this forum and I would mention some of them in appreciation.

Money121 did the roofing. I sent 2.4m mobilisation fee to him even without meeting him and I was not disappointed. His boys did a fantastic job and had to give him the water collector project as well. Due to his continued professionalism, he has just finished another roofing project for me in Ibadan. Well done brother. Did I mention this guy is taller in person than he looks . My only advise is for you not to be too trusting. Please keep up the good work.

Michillin was our burglary man. Fantastic guy I must say. I have no problem with him at all. Though the output was bigger than expected, it was no fault of his. I loved the finishing of his work and I am certain we will still work together at some point in the future. My advise for you is that 'silence at times is very golden'.

Dominion was my PoP man. He made me change my mind and I have to use plaster board, though more expensive. This guy is very intelligent and will argue his point continuously till you fully get his viewpoint. I did not even know he was on nairaland when I contracted him. I honestly wish I met him before the Lagos project as he was able to identify some errors of the site engineer. He pointed those errors without bringing down the site engineer which i think shows deep maturity. I like the fact he is very humble and tech savvy as well. I am very sure we will travel together one day, maybe to Singapore to show him an example of the house I would love to live in when the time is ripe. I was so impressed with him that he is the one in charge on my ongoing construction in Ibadan. Dominion saved me millions in the hand my electrical guy. God bless you sir. Keep being yourself and keep improving yourself; the sky is the limit. Thank you so much! Lest i forget, this guy is not cheap ooo, he hates to admit this but he knows I will always stand for the truth.

I have several other people I worked with on this platform and I would rather not mention them as the relationship went very bad and for reasons best known to me. Some thought they could dupe me. I don't talk much, I just get them locked up and recover my money - no long story. Guys be very careful here, just as there are great guys here, there are wolves as well; as in some people are just very wicked!.
