Hello house Happy New Year! Please enlighten me, I just submitted study permit application and I’m just now realizing the new portal. Can I resubmit using the new portal ? Or what is the difference between both . Tried to read online and the difference I’m seeing is applications are processed faster using the new portal Please advise 2 Likes |

I would like to appreciate everyone who has contributed to the sustainability of this thread. Equally, I do rejoice with those whose testimonies have cheered up other hopefuls. As we journey through 2022, please remember to be deliberate about your applications. They should be as straight as an arrow. If a complication is unavoidable, please trivialise it by attaching a clear and concise note. You do not have to hire anyone to process your application or draft your "note". Everything you need is on this thread. I also published some guides that could make this easier for you. Happy New Year to you all, and I wish you a prosperous year! 17 Likes |

Happy new year Jtom There is nothing fast about Canada Visa application, even the NSE we thought would be fast, was same processing time with the normal application.. You have already submitted your application to IRCC and they have received it, there is no point re-submitting with a new portal or something... Except you wanna dash IRCC a new year gift of another Visa application fee.. So far you are applying from Nigeria, it takes grace for your application to get a fast final decision from IRCC... Happy new year kevinexit Things have been made easy for you by knowing the exact office handling your applciation.. So keep disturbing Nairobi with mails and Webform, your applciation is far beyond the approved processing time.. So you have every right to disturb them with messages until you get what you want from them.. Peace kevinexit: |

please search for the MP servicing your university district and reach out to them via email and request for urgent processing, in the same way order for a GCMS note. when the gcms note is being dispensed it gives them an opportunity to go over your application again. sometimes applications are a bit complex and need a bit of a push to get them to pick it back up. kevinexit: 1 Like |

My uncles & aunties in the house . @ Frankrobbn1, Lekiboboe, just mellow , kindly help with the questions below. Age 16 + Course : Nursing 1) I had once been denied a visiting visa in 2019 when I wanted to follow my mum their for vacation but my mum was given visa and she travelled then. Reason : " your ties in canada". Meanwhile my mum has close friends in Canada Hope this will not affect my study visa application. Also, my mum and dad have both been to Canada and USA. 2) I did biometrics in 2019. Do need i to do another one ? 3) Do I need to disclose to the vo that we have family friends in canada that can serve as guardians for me ? 3) My international passport is due for renewal in March 2023 & I am to resume school in Canada by September 2022. Do you advise I renew it before starting the visa processing in February ? Or I use this current one . 4) Can I apply vo my visa through NSE ? 5) What kind of properties and documents can my parents use as my home ties to Nigeria. 1 Like |

npop: Hello npop, Is obvious you didn't address the VO concern's as you only blindly followed the generic reasons on the refusal letter which doesn't bare out the real reason a VO rejects or approves an application. Now you need to order for your GCMS Note, know what comments the VO made as regards your application ,then reply them accordingly in your LOE in your next Application. Please do not apply again without the note. But note that it doesn't mean that you can't apply without the note and not get it. Many have done so and got approval without ordering, but then,CAD$5-20 isnt much compared to CAD$150 that might be wasted on next application. All the best It will end in praises. 1 Like |

Richardp1: Woow. Sorry about this. I don't know how your school works, but hope slots for January term aren't filled up yet hence the difficulty in registering? I would advice you ask google, you will surely get a hint from there if no one is in UNBC from here. But some schools, what they do is, one can write to the academic advisor, he/she will ask you course you want to register for( especially prerequisites courses), once you do, she/he will from her/his own end add it to your course. But school differs. So if you can reach out to your academic advisor for that and or reach out to Google. All the best. You really need that enrolment letter before you can board. Airlines now are hell bent on that. 2 Likes |

Somidotun5: 1) No. 2)No. Biometrics is valid for 10years, as such yours will expire by 2029. 3). In Nigeria, allowed time for renewal is 6months to expiration. But you know Nigeria factors na. So I wouldn't say you should wait till you renew, kindly begin the process of your visa application, submit your application, but ensure to get it renewed before possible PPR. In this case, once your passport is renewed while your application is in progress, send the renewed passport to IRCC by mail and webform( every document sent to IRCC by mail or webform gets to them even though we don't usually get notifications). Then once an application is approved, you now send your renewed passport for stamping. 4). Do you mean apply through NSE route? If that's what you mean, since early last year, seems IRCC put NSE route on hold. But if you have your IELTS, ofcourse you can add it. And as adviced, you can use MBS in place of normal SOA. 5). homes ties they look at for is especially family and economic/financial home ties. So if you have job to comeback to, landed properties, business, then you're good to go. All the best 4 Likes |

Hello Rasak Many banks have increased their Limits to $300, banks like GTBank and Access Bank.. Get the ATM cards of any of these banks and make your payment, do not give it to agents to do it for you to avoid PFL for Debt on Crown.. Peace Rasakiopoewa: |

makano:Happy new year beautiful people. I tried using Access bank Visa debit card last night to pay for my wife's application but it kept declining. I had to use an American Express card. So I'm not too sure Access bank cards work at the moment. |

NorthernshoreTS: Hello, As per the bolded, I used access Visa card for someone's payment yesterday and it went without stress. You may need to get a visa card then. Their US$300 monthly limit is working. |

So my people, it is with gratitude in my heart that I wish to inform all of us that I have FINALLY submitted my wife's application. It's been a very long journey for those of y'all that can remember when I was applying for admission at the University of Regina. Her application isnt perfect to be very honest but we also counting on the God factor. He perfects all imperfections. Special shoutout to everyone here who constantly and selflessly provides direction and advice regarding this study permit application. I see you @makano @olasubomy @ketima @frankrobbn @lekiboboe and everyone else who tirelessly provides valuable insights into the minds of Canadian VOs. Godspeed into 2022. My wife's PPR will be out by Feb 14th 2022. 20 Likes |

Landing gist I travelled to Montreal from Mexico via Air Canada. They have the best plane that I have entered. The screen was large and modern. The food was not free though, you would have to pay with your card. Only the drink was free. I arrived in Montreal and the officer asked why I didn't travel directly from 9ja. They then asked for my enrollment letter and after then, I was issued my study permit. Everyone on the flight was selected for covid arrival testing and I (fully vaccinated) was required to quarantine until the result was out. The result came out on the third day of my arrival. At the moment, it is not very cold here. The minimum temperature so far is -4 degrees. 16 Likes |
