So a girl was admitted to the camp clinic in serious respiratory distress after "exercise".saying she felt feverish before and was coughing,they thought it was obviously malaria ,so she took some drugs got better but later on got to this stage.so we check her oxygen saturation,85%, okay put her on oxygen,checked an hour later,75%,I know what that means (COVID,a bad case of covid), immediately the nurse saw it,she just plain disappeared,so I rush and start COVID treatment,checked again,68% or so,like I am know whats wrong ,I know this is the treatment but she is just plain not responding,her saturation just keeps going down,she needs a ventilator but all we have are oxygen cylinders,we can do fck all,so we refer her out,send her to a specialist hospital outside camp but she didn't make it,and till today,I can still see her face in my dreams as she is gasping for air ,for God free gift to us,she is gasping for something that is all around us.i heard she died and her father is threatening to sue everybody,but we know he is grieving ,he is definitely in his second stage.
