No doubt. It works both ways.
I think the point is, one should not have the "after-all so-and-so person dropped out and still made it" mentality.
People drop out and make it. People drop out and fail.
People graduate and make it. People graduate and fail.

Not exactly, u omitted the time wasted in pursuit of degree.especially if it's more than 5 years, infact it's a crime, no degree should be that long if not that the people in charge, don't have conscience.
They're right, the time could have been used to aquire a suitable skill and wealth.
And one thing about business is Time.
It takes time to mature.
A business idea may become obsolete if delayed...
Certificate gives someone an illusion of knowledge, and only useful because people that refused to change believes in it.
Check all the work done by graduates today, u can see that a trained secondary school graduate/drop out can do it, even a brilliant primary school graduate/drop out, so what u need is just to be able to read and write, which can be aquired automatically even without going to any school.
Note that everything is not business, by educating urself and preserving ur soul and peace u may someday discover a new thing, than wasting ur soul and spirit working for people.
Selling ur soul/dreams for Money in the name of working.
But the reality is that some people need to gullible enough to sell their soul for paycheck. Everybody must not be on top or financially independent enough to ...
But this is only applicable today, not in the decades to come, because nobody will choose a worker u pay monthly over an artificial intelligent agent u buy and own, no salary attached.

An average Nigerian graduate is an illiterate and is not enlightened.

How much more a Nigerian who didn’t go to school at all. Trouble and confusion mixed together.

One of the major reasons Nigeria is underdeveloped is because of illiteracy. Illiteracy won’t help you innovate or make right decisions. Eg voting the right candidates in elections. Avoiding unnecessary crisis.

Going to school doesn’t put food on the table but it goes a long way in helping one make very informed decisions and that in turn puts food on the table.

By all legal means, go to school.

The problem is that most people have a phobia for knowledge/education including graduates,
They rather die in ignorance, than aquire or update their thinking or knowledge, maybe it has to do with ego and animal nature of humans, after all humans are just higher animals.
So someone can have a certificate and still make stupid decisions, many non-graduates think better than graduates.

The way you stated his academic qualifications sef is confusing, why not say he has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Physics.

He has two bachelors degree. For example, I have a bachelors degree in Business and Information, but its just one degree. Elon musk has two separate bachelors degree, one in Economics, and one in Physics.

If you put it as B.sc Economics and Physics, that shows you have just one bachelors degree.

Ok then, but you stated one of his qualifications as Bachelor of "Arts" in Physics. Maybe it'd have been better understood if I state his qualifications as given below right??
Bachelor's degree in Economics and in Physics. grin

How, if I may ask?

Education.
