I see he is a coach that will look into the grassroot to hunt for talents, not only flying around Europe as if that is the only place talent lies.

That impressed me about him
.

You do not take talent to your senior national team.

You take established, consistent, outstanding quality and the top performing players in their club and league. And those top performing players ,clubs and leagues are not in the NPFL.

The U23 and U17 coaches should be looking at local talent that they may develop not the senior national team coach.

The bold is a reflection of misplaced priority and a coach who has not understood his core purpose and focus.

Put in the mix our historical and continuous penchant for selecting players not on merit but other considerations ,that we all know well.

Onyeka had a good game for Brentford today.

He has been subbed off.

I am watching the game and to say someone had a good game means he was outstanding, because he was not for me.

I am looking at the 18 year old who came on for Villa Chukwuemeka , to see if he will do anything outstanding in these few minutes he got.

The coach finds them outstanding potentials to be given exposure to train with the team.

They are not going to the tournament, I personally don't think it is out of place to give our local players exposure till we have an outstanding and well organized league.

What made it ridiculous? The reasons Eguavoen abandoned it were time and CAF not allowing changes. He never said it was ridiculous. So who made it ridiculous? You?

I agree with

The under 17, 20,WAFU and CHAN team is enough for any serious country to unearth home groomed talents and not the senior team

CAF perfectly allowed changes by the way, Eguavoen was allowed to replace any injured player in the list with any local player, the reason Eguavoen abandoned it is because it is ridiculous

You are right he has left Swansea and is collecting I bet crazy money in Quatar.

He must be greedy ,when he was at Swansea in the Championship he was on £83k a week . And he refused to take pay cut renew his contract and or go to some EPL clubs that wanted him but not on £83k a week.

He is 32 ( actually real age) so he still has a few good years of football left.

Laliga can fuckup

Barcelona have 15 first team players out with Covid and injuries and yet they can’t even postpond our games ,but they where able to postpone our game vs Sevilla earlier this season with only 2 players that could not return from South America international duties

Epl really did well by postponing many games recently

Can you honestly compare that to the level of exposure european young players get? It is not one tenth but you feel it is enough.

Mbok, fear God.

Coming in to train with the national team is a good learning curve.

But selecting players on potential talent taking up the spaces that should have been given to established in proven players.

Having lots of top players in camp creates true competition in the SE to do the opposite is a recipe for failure, mediocrity and Incompetence.

Please, were you the one that delivered him to know age cheating?

You talk with authority things that you do not know. Amokachi told Westerhoff when he invited him to camp that he was a small boy. He told the coach he was only 16 years old to go to Super Eagles camp. Westerhoff convinced him that he was good enough.

Is that the mindset of an age cheater?
