I think 1/3 of Lagos was at the bish(beach) today, the traffic na World Cup and this affected most parts of the Island. Unfortunately it's within the city that is already congested. Hopefully when Lagos-Badagry road is completed people can visit and see what beaches should look like not all these over hyped dirty ones.

I doubt people will leave the island to Badagry for beach sightseeing.

You can still get a ride out of the island beaches by 10pm to mainland easily. From Badagry axis, na war. The crime rate at that axis is alarming.
Yes, traffic could pin you down on Ligali ayorinde, or road leading to Landmark, but you won't be afraid some loser will come out of nowhere to rob you in a gridlock.

Though I agree with you, the beaches are overhyped.. Esp. that alpha Beach.

Landmark is the only one that looks sane n its cos of a functional management.

I dey tell you, these days I usually decline trips to the beaches these days, e no funny at all.
Unless it's a long trip then I will bear it after all I'll get trip coming out, I don't know why everybody won't to be at the beach same day.

. True, I agree. However, I will rather go for a weekend and tour Badagry than this overhyped ones, one of the major constraint is the traffic on a day like this , mind you with time development will catch up with that zone and people from Mile 2 downwards will face that side, enough space for parking and too many private beaches there too.Lagos before na water full everywhere including rainy season.

You're absolutely spot on...all these so called beaches: atican beach, oniru beach, landmark beach, (defunct bar beach/kuramo) are no were beside beaches along badagry coast...with coconut trees lined up, once the road is plyable I go like visit the beach close to ASCON - administrative staff college Nigeria

Liquidmolly is good but the price is relative to mobil1 I'm currently using and looking for a more affordable and good one.

We are all in business to maximize profit so I c no sense changing oil every 3months @ 6k miles as recommended at an exorbitant amount of about 40k when I have repairs and other maintenance and commission to also worry about.

The last I bought Mobil 1 was 23k and last week I was to buy I was told 27k for 4ltr and my engine vol is 5.5L meaning I need 2 jars right now for bought topping till next service period.

One has To be business wise else importers will use us to build house in the name of exchange is high
Well I use liquimolly and change after 15,000miles for diesel engine and 10,000 miles for petrol.
It's also cheaper than mobil 1

There's this Beach called Ijele Beach at Volks area.

That place is really nice... I don't know why a lot of people don't know that area.

Safety! safety! Safety!

This is the edge, island beaches have over all these Badagry /mile 2 /volks axis.

Can get stuck at Eko hotel roundabout. Wouldn't worry, I don't think I will be comfortable being around volks around 9.30pm in a traffic gridlock.

I strongly disagree...if water channels are well /adequatetly buoyed - meaning the navigational channels are well dredged with nautical lighting indicators, the distance from lekki to badagry won't be more than 30mins through the sea.

If Lagos state Government could align with National inland water ways , sheath their swords...they'll both harness the opportunities that abound along that corridor.

But water transportation requires huge financial investment, no doubt....but there willing investors out there from Scandinavian countries, provided we do the right thing.

Pls who has genuine and regular plug for the following oil and prices I'm looking at having a change of oil for my car the mobile 1 is getting too expensive and i need to look for a cheaper alternative that's also very good

1) Castrol GTX Magnatec Full Synthetic Oil

2)Royal Purple High Performance Synthetic Oil

3)Shell RotellaT6 Full Synthetic Diesel Oil

4) Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic Motor Oil

5) Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil

6) Castrol Edge Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil

7) Valvoline High Mileage with MaxLife Technology Synthetic Blend Motor Oil

The No.1 on the list is what I'm actually considering due to its magnetic xteristics during cold start or warm up. Though all of them are good products so I'll be going for the one with the best price because I'm a business man no time for sentiment now.

Pls if anyone has a good and genuine plug kindly avail me their contact need to service my car latest this week @6k miles.

Lastly, what do you guys think abiut the Castro sold by FortOil filling stations is it the same as the one produce abroad or made for Nigeria market?

Unpopular opinion. Just buy 20w50 from a reliable Mobil station and change religiously every 3000 miles.

Better to use original Mobil 20w50 that you change frequently than buy fake penzoil or whatever that you'll keep in your engine for long because you thought you got an original

What car type and model .

I experienced it with Honda CRV and on the long run I had to buy a new gear, kindly don't drive it so that if what spoilt inside is salvageable, so you will not have to buy a new gear, mine is just exactly as you explained yours..

As a first aid approach, drain the current oil when the car is warm and replace with a recommended one (when the car is warm as well). If that solves it ...great ( if not, try the next)

If your gear uses a solenoid cable, get a very good gear rewire tech to check if any is bad, the solenoid is on the gear and it has like up to 3 in some gears, it controls the drive, reverse and some other component.

Caution: if any of the above didn't solve the gear issue, please my brother I know it's hard, don't go for a rebuild gear, they will sing to you that can rebuild or repair it...the repair is just like changing a cloth drained by rain to a dry one just to enter same rain again.

Ensure anything you are doing, it must be done when the gear is warm not hot, becaus in its current state it will easily burn all internal component of the gear.

I wish I saw this on time. My friend spent N180000 to fix his RX350 transmission. It all went down the drain. He's now looking for 500k to buy a Tokunbo.

I am sure u have d answer to this question already. If u don't have the answer Dru23 and Gazzuzz are my plugs.
Buy your synthetic oil (any product) from a trusted source u know imports them. Anything inside ladipo or filling station sef, u r on your own. The key word is imported

One has To be business wise

There is alot of sense changing oil every 3months with the recommended oil, rather than using substandard oil every month. 27k with peace of mind or 27k with sludge-building wearing-down engine, Which will u choose? Cos if u use 20w50 and u change oil every month u will end up spending d amount u would spend using a synthetic oil that will be changed once in 3months. Maintain your chacha tokunbo engine o. A word is enough for the wise.

I like the fact that Liquidmolly has a can of 1ltr but Mobil 1 doesn't meaning I've to buy 2 4ltrs Can of mibil1. Its really not easy menh...
