falilatu: Book another accommodation. You don't have to stay where you indicated in your VAF. |

I booked an appointment for 3rd Jan. I received a call from TLS ikeja on 31st not to attend as they will be closed due to the public holiday. They also suggested I book for another date, knowing fully well that getting a date is very difficult. It's for a visitors visa. I don't know what to do. I plan going there on 4th and trying walk in as it's their fault for making 3rd available on their site. Although I have tried walk in before but I was turned down at the gate, they said only students are allowed for walk in. What do you guys suggest? |

I cancelled my hotel booking before decision got made on my application and I didn’t rebook. I don’t think it should be an issue. falilatu: 1 Like |

Oma6090: Just to add to options you have (which are; a walk-in/rescheduling as suggested), you may want to cancel your application and start afresh, as such you are able to change your intended date of departure, if you feel current available appointment dates are not okay with your arrival date to the UK in current application. |

Hello house, I got a refusal message on the 29th of Dec 2021. The visa offer said in the attached refusal document that I didn't state what I would be doing while I am in the Uk to be satisfied with my intentions of entering the UK given this was my first time of applying, to my utmost surprise; they said though is not a prerequisite in the immigration rules, they consider it reasonable to demonstrate some knowledge of chosen destination, events, tickets and plans. Because of that, I haven't justified my true intentions, that this has damaged the credibility of my application and raises concerns about your intentions to travel to the UK at this time. In my cover letter, all the said concerns were all stated, I am not new in submitting visa applications for friends and family's, this is so obvious that they're intentionally reducing the number of visitors around this time due to the Omicron variants, especially for a first-timer. I will try again in the mid-year. All the best to others awaiting decisions from the UK home office. Best. |

So sorry to hear this. From the uploaded refusal letter, I believe the main reason for your refusal was that your sponsor was refused. All other excuses from them are just copied and pasted notes. Gentlesoul3268: 1 Like |

This is fine because the UK commission even says not to make any commitments In the form of flight or hotel. I would advise you send the hotel a message letting them know you are unable to board with them on the intended date and then cancel. You can save this as evidence but you’ll be fine without it. falilatu: 1 Like |

bbclue:Lets be hopeful, my friend that did appointment has been refused.... i did mine on 25th and since then I havent gotten a feedback from them. seems they withhold visas and passport of those they have approved probably cos they want to limit the influx of migrant into the UK this festive period till this January becos of the spike of the omicron variant. I just hope and pray am thinking in the right direction. 2 Likes |

Nchabuomo: It's not. Read the refusal doc again, his salary is approx. 550 pounds/month. Think, if you could find a job that pays you double that, would you return to Nigeria? 1 Like |
