IDENNAA:Sir,school fees is not the only reason for someone to drop out of school?some drop out to pursue another dream and it was always like a gambling and for former non league player playing for national team now is something great and that's my point,so Aribo struggled to be where he is today . 3 Likes |

Kog45: No , Aribo didn't struggle because be had many options , which a Nigerian boy can only dream of. Aribo had many opportunities to excel in different avenues. Take example of the exploits Nigerian kids are doing in the U.S. and you would understand these African kids born in first world country are so blessed. My children reject food I wished I could eat as a little boy growing up in Nigeria. I don't know what interest you have in Aribo but you are not being totally honest. 5 Likes |

TheGoodJoe: Iheanacho is a player that everyone knows system affects him. Irrespective of that, he is still rated very highly in the UK because everyone has seen glimpses of what he can do in a team set up to favor him. Nwakali is 23 and has been to multiple clubs and systems. If he has not found any yet by now that he can finally show his real talent, it begs the question of whether the problem is from the numerous clubs he has played in or from the player himself. 8 Likes |

Meliforme: Have you watched Aribo though? He is not a poor midfielder, he is a poor defensive player. Also he is the most technical of all three so I don’t get your point. Aribo was rated as the player with the best first touch in world football just last year and you are comparing him with lowly Iwobi and even a worse Nwakali. After Osimhen and Ndidi, no other player in our team has a higher ceiling than Aribo. Guy is good at everything. Passing, scoring worldies, first touch, physicality, link up play, dribbling, name it. Guy if a baller. I would advise you to watch Rangers fc highlights so that you can really see the player you are so helplessly slandering. 9 Likes |

IDENNAA:Oh interest on Aribo....it was on this thread I said am not really impressed with Aribo of recent and he need to sit up. Sir,we are talking football here, did i accused you of racist when you classified Aribo as foreign born....let's continue with our football analysis so we can learn from it. Fact remain Nwakili has Aribo to displace and Aribo need to sit up and Afcon will be the determinant factor. |

jihday: On his good day Ojo is a very good keeper. He is the best penalty stopper in the league. Plus he has the prerequisite size for the position. Finidi George must like him because they have 2 other guys that are good enough to play for most teams. 3 Likes |

drDoom3: At 23, as far as I am concerned, Mikel looked lost in Chelsea and people believed he could do nothing other than sit in front of the defense and pass back. Boy were they wrong. At 23, where was Vardy, from your perspective he would not amount to anything special. Well, he took the premier league by storm later. It is not over. The light can still shine brightly on Kelz Nwakali. 1 Like |

humility33: I actually hate pitching players against each other. I prefer believing people have different things to offer in different ways. There are things Aribo can do that Kelz Nwakali can't. There are things that Kelz Nwakali will offer that Aribo can't. Messi and Ibrahimovic are both extraordinary forwards but deliver in different ways. It boils down to the system and how the coach shapes the team. By the way, Kelz Nwakali impressed me with his touches last night. It was so creamy and delightful to watch. 1 Like |

IDENNAA:Let Aribo perch, let Nwakali perch ooo. Let the one who stakes a better claim be the starter. In any case both of them don't even play the same position. Perhaps a midfield combo of Aribo, Nwakali and Ndidi might work some magic for us. |

TheGoodJoe: Very true. However, if you brought Vardy at 23 to start in the England National team because you see his potential, would it be wise and fair? I am not saying Nwakali cannot come good in the future. However, selecting a player based on potential rather than performance over moore deserving players is dangerous for any team. 5 Likes |

drDoom3: You do not know and Kelz Nwakali still shows potential. Kelz Nwakali made it into the team because he has an asset that is important to the manager. We do not have another player that has that skill set. So what is your advice? The coach should abandon his philosophy? The more deserving players are really not more deserving if they do not have an exact skill set important to the manager. It is the player with the skillset that is more deserving. |

IDENNAA:Please stop this kind of tribalism because this is exactly what it is: tribe of local born vs tribe of foreign borns. We all have our biases but ultimately quality should be the determining factor. Excuses have been made for Nwakali, excuses have also been made for Aribo. Let us see both of them play in their rightful positions and then the conversation can begin. This idea of local born vs foreign born is just crassness. 1 Like 1 Share |
