Is d car upto 2yrs in Nigeria?, if yes, Find out d oil previous owner has been using and continue with that oil.
If car is not upto 2years and they weren't using d recommended oil then u can switch.
Good brands are numerous, choose anyone that suits ur pocket just make sure it's imported directly by ur plug.
Good afternoon, brother.
I was expecting some senior men to talk about buying a Honda car as Nigerian used. lipsrsealed
Because I hear a lot of people condemning buying Nigerian-used cars for bolt/Uber work.

Something similar happened to me 2yrs ago on Uber not Bolt oh... Then I was using the Civic and a bike ran into us while i was trying to maje a turn, the bike was right under my car only God knows how the bike managed to enter under my car in the tarred road but thank God both him and his rider was unhurt. This happened somewhere around Ajegunle. Mumu me na come go use my hand report to Uber na so Uber block my account the next morning I was trying to go online and asked me go for an inspection. Thank God for their good customer response so u was given an inspection template on the app to snap panomaric views of my car b4 my account was unblocked few minutes later.

The next accident which was serious with same car I didn't maje the mistake of reporting and was still on same Uber ride, that's the ine that happened along college road.

So guys when you're involve in any form of accident don't report and tell yiur rider not to report as well unless it involves life, injury or something you feel Uber/Bolt should jnow about then you can go ahead to report, otherwise, mange it yourself.

Yea, but in this case both driver and rider had injuries and the car is a right-off. Even if he didn't report, he can't drive that car again. There should be some sort of compensation when stuffs like this happen.
If it was fatal now, Ride share company will delete the trip and make it look like it was an offline trip. All these has to stop.

Do you have a reason for this discouragement? No vex ooh bros, please enlighten a learner like me.

I was persuaded by people to follow them to their office because a LASTMA officer confirmed what happened to the police. But on getting their office, they changed the story that I forced myself through.
Now my insurance coy AXA demanded I should bring letter from them, copy of driver's license of the truck driver and copy of their insurance which they refused.
In a situation like this, what is the best way to go about it? I have comprehensive insurance on my car.

What sorry case situation... My brother just find a way to get yiur car fixed then change your insurance company asap

Depends on d story u gave ur insurance company. But AXA don dey mad. What if it was hit and run, what if your car was parked by d road side and u came and saw it like that. How will they tell u to go and bring letter and drivers license of the other driver?

Short of making comprehensive insurance a prerequisite to bolt registration (and they can probably negotiate lower rates for drivers if they mediate with the insurance company) I don't see much they can do.

It's the measly fares that make drivers skimp on such important stuff as comprehensive and even life insurance, because the risk is much higher for someone on the road for ten, twelve hours every day.

When u buy a quarter to die car and subject it to stress of ehailing it will fall apart faster than ice in sun.
But good naija used still dey and it's light on ur pocket so u maximize ur profits and have good ROI.
So whether it's naija used or foreign used, make sure u buy a good car. Some people still spend 100-200k on a tokunbo car to put it to standard. It's just that naija used has a higher probability of being abused and messed-up that's why it's adviseable to go for tokunbo and have rest of mind. I agree, but if Company A makes it compulsory, d competitor is by the corner to make it open to everyone. Thereby making Company A loss market share.
And our environment is unique, if the government regulates and makes it compulsory, people will scream and cry blood, but I think d right thing has to be done and let people be forced to comply. I think it's for our own good in d long run. Just like we are enjoying HMO that prior to now seemed impossible.

Haba I’m not hot tempered like some people here and never gone on rehab vacation.

What I was trying to say is that if he is just starting as a newbie he should forget about getting his money back.
Newbies can’t remit 30k weekly in first 2 months without stories.
Generally I will discourage anybody going to drive on Uber/bolt newly in Lagos on rentals or HP. It’s slavery and not sustainable.
But it’s cool with your own car.
Note my words
” Newly on rentals/HP in Lagos”
I’m talking from experience of a lazy driver
1. Road network/location: you will take first trip to ikeja city mall on Monday morning and from there to akute and gross only 7k and be complaining like ikejamanism.
2. Car will suffer: you will go to bad roads, drive inside flood, rider will load two 50kg rice and coke in your car. Okada will remove ur side mirror.
3. Lastma or tout or police will play with you.
4. Theft (yahoo rider or traffic thief’s) fake alert and all.
5. Ehailing Apps: You might get blocked or low ratings or they keep giving you dead zone trips.
Or short short trips till you are warn out after carrying yams for rider and opening boot.
For example I wanted to drive today. I woke up 6:30am and there was no heavy surge I just off app and continue sleeping. Driving without surge is slavery and demoralizing.

As far as I’m concerned ehailing is not a job, (especially for graduates) just do small to keep body & soul and move on, else your body/soul or car will leave you and move on.

Guy, you funny ooo. What should the Governor has done? Kindly advise.

He should Call Lagos CP to arrest those police that was sent by the IGP, you forget say IGP na CP Oga? Odumosu no go Wan fvck with him Oga nah.

If him call DSS to arrest them and gbege start, then shot gun, stray bullet hit one of the protesters and died. Na we go still say he didn't handle the issue with sense.

If you read the news, the Governor said he has spoken with the IGP and the AGF extensively inside the car before addressing the press. Any face off for that place that day no go pay anybody.

Reno has this say!

If it was Governor Wike that that CSP disobeyed, he would have known that there are governors and there are Governors. Sanwoolu can’t claim to be in charge in Lagos after this incident. Pointus Pilate is only in charge to the extent Buhari allows. Wike would not tolerate that in Rivers, and something must happen to that CSP. Sadly, Sanwoolu is not assertive enough for a state like Lagos. And no big surprise. He was picked by Tinubu precisely because of his anodyne nature. Heavy Baba so pe Governor!

Unpopular opinion. Just buy 20w50 from a reliable Mobil station and change religiously every 3000 miles.

Better to use original Mobil 20w50 that you change frequently than buy fake penzoil or whatever that you'll keep in your engine for long because you thought you got an original

If you have your own car
You are good to go no fear but if it’s rental/hp you must drive like ants before you make a living and you will definitely break down and the car will not remain the same trust me.

But let me state this for other newbies reading. if you don’t have job or other source of income, pls get a car on rentals/ Hp and start hustling... it’s better than seating at home begging,
