Dem dey make assumptions based on Big name players. Some people said Morocco was sure for the semis last AFCON, na "I like to move it, move it" people still bundle those ones comot.

AFCON is literally anybody's game. Your team may be filled with brilliant players, but the lines may not fall in place the day you need them to.

See CIV with Haller, Zaha, Aurier, Pepe and co, you would think semi finals sure for them, only for you to hear that Zimbabwe or Guinea kicked them out.
Not really so. Like the world cup, it's still the big guns who win it though with few exceptions (Zambia for example). So there's some measure of predictability if one keeps his guesses centered on Nigeria, Cameroun, Senegal, Algeria, Egypt, Ghana and Ivory Coast

From studying Eguavoen so far, my deduction is this: Ejuke is his joker. He fancies Olayinka. He thinks the team has missed a lot of creativity in the attack, hence Nwakali.

If everything works well for him, he is going for broke. If his plans doesn't work well (due to lack of the right mix of players), he'll play safe like Rohr. Lol. Except that he'll be more attack minded.

Not bad yeah.
That Nwakali is sluggish sha ooo.

Shut up man, Trump never called Buhari "lifeless on Twitter", we are not sure if Trump even made the statement.

Donald Trump hosted Buhari in 2018 in his first meeting with an African leader, we all know President Buhari isn't articulate.
According to Financial times, the media house that broke out the news Eight months after the visit, reported that Trump jokingly told his aides that He doesn't want to meet a lifeless person like Buhari again. (This might actually be a paid article by Atiku Abubakar, we never can tell)

Yes he looks so. Infact he looks languid but still puts up a decent shift defensively. This is a lad that played every single minute of Huesca's games throughout December up until Jan.2 vs Girona and I saw all those games. I carefully assessed his current form and plays.

Xisco has been working with him as regards his workrate and I saw improvements. He presses better now than before. And offensively, Zero goals, Zero assists but it's not for lack of efforts.

Infact, Nwakali has a good number of Pre-assists or pass before the pass before the assist. He has been involved in some of the buildups leading to his side's goals. Vs Sporting Gijon, he laid the perfect long pass right before the assist was made.
This is a great part of what deeplying central midfielders/playmakers do. They orchestrate and build up plays that the others build upon and finish up in the final third.

I want to use this opportunity to have people to ask themselves this question....

Mikel as a Number 10 at the 2005 WYC (Fifa u20 WC) had only 1 assist all tournament. Yet he was the best player of the tournament (ignore the Messi thing for now, we all know Mikel was Number 1 at Holland 2005. No sentiments).

Now why was that? Weren't there others with better G+A numbers? What else did he do to earn his place as a top 3 player in that tournament since he has only one goal (a pen) and one assist?

I have more questions but this is a start for the house.

Without mincing words, things started getting bad when Komekn came in here and started inciting people against people just because he was feeling intimidated by the presence of some people. He was able to win himself some puppets who now fight as his army to throw insults to anyone who has a different opinion to his, so people like me who don't tolerate nonsense had to start giving it back to them in their own language.

This place was awesome in the days of Goldfish, Michael, Joseph, Blueto, AIG eagles, Bigblangston, Supernerd, Icon4s, forgiveness and co. Then, there were no insults no matter how opinions and agendas differ. Forgiveness aka Ajagun Kayode Olaitan and his usual agenda

Today, if you are not licking the ass of one English born player or another, you are an enemy. If you also support a struggling local born player, you are even a worse enemy, if you support the NFF "when they do well", you are a typically Nigerian suffering from Nigerian syndrome.

Omo, here no be anybody house, if you cross my path, I put you in your place over and over again.
Nwoke, nwayo nwayo. At least those who like you are old hands here should please just temper words so that you can set the tone for the newer members of the commentariat . If I say I don't like you, I lie cos you get mouth. Truth is that when someone insults us, it's very painful. But the Goodjoe is just awesome how he takes it in his stride. Kog45 is also one person I admire a lot. Not saying you should be like them oo. Not at all. One thing I learnt over time though is to ignore an insult online. Many times I will type my clapback and then delete it.
I no say make we no insult oo. Small rofo rofo fight from time to time keeps the ginger but if the playground becomes a mud basin due to yama yama insults no one will be able to play in it again. This is our playground. Na men we be. So my brother, hold side abeg. I greet you.

Awaziem
Ndah
Ebuehi
Onyekuru

The above are the players who can confidently move the ball with ease.

Pretenders:

Iheanacho
Iwobi
Simon Moses
Aribo

Players without ball retention abilities

Ekong
Ndidi

How good is our bench though?

Imagine this is our first 11..

GK - Okoye

LB - Zaidu
CB - Awaziem
CB - Ekong
RB - Aina/Ebuehi

DM - Ndidi
CM (DLP) - Nwakali
AM - Aribo

LW - Ejuke
CF - Sadiq
RW - Chukwueze

Now remember, the above first XI is just in theory.

Then this below is our bench...

GK - Uzoho, Akpeyi, Noble

LB - Collins
CB - Omeruo, Ajayi, Ndah
RB - Aina/Ebuehi

CDM - Onyeka
AM - Iwobi

Wingers/Wing forwards - Onyekuru, Olayinka, Musa, Simon.

CFs - Awoniyi, Iheanacho (SS), Dessers/Iggy

So it depends on what you looking at, but we are covered in attack and on the wings. Well covered.

In Midfield, only two naturals wait in the wings. A problem of being short staffed which is why we hope injuries do not hit this dept of the team.

In defence, I think we got Decent enough cover.

So that's the summary.

This is what I don't understand. Limited end product? How? Is football today more productive than it was in the past? Productive in terms of what? Goals? Speed? Or what?

My response is two pronged.

My personal preference is for entertainment football .

However, clubs have got to way too scientific and tactical and that means team discipline and the right decision making is paramount.

Within that quest is end product.

I have been disappointed with most of our wingers in recent times. The quest for personal glory overshadows best options and best possible decision.

Finally, why can't they cross the ball properly ❓ You have a man mountain like Onuachu and you just don't play to his strengths or give him accurate crosses.

Interesting analysis. I hope to see him inject some creative spark in our midfield. Talking about creativity, between Iwobi and Aribo who do you think should play just behind the attackers as an AM?
And do you think a midfield of Nwakali, Ndidi and Aribo/Iwobi is good enough?

Based on what I have seen of the duo of Aribo and Iwobi in SE colors I dont have a drop of confidence in them. Aribo is very athletic with an eye for goal but he lack skills and creativity. Iwobi we all know is as confused as they come , so , I don't know what you expect to see. Iwobi himself doesn't even know where on the field is his natural position...he just love the attacking midfield position because of the suppose fame that comes with the position.
