The right reply from driver should be "Who are you?" How do you order a ride and call a driver and the next thing is "where are you?" At least start with "I ordered a ride.........." Johnnybegood12: 2 Likes |

Tobijays: I doubt if any driver will want to pick you from ibadan to Lagos using the app...most will want it offline...as doing it online won't favour the driver.... In regards to your question to load and a +1 rider, as long as your load is considered moderate by the prospective driver and you also keep the driver in the know, that he is picking 2 of you, I think no problem... Bolt/Uber gives room for luggages as long as it's what the driver thinks he can afford to carry. 11 Likes |

I think some drivers take what the read here so serious and act on it, hook, line, and sinker. Please, your rider is not your enemy. They are your customers. You need them as much as they need you. Being unnecessarily rude and hostile especially when the rider hasn't given you any reason to do so is unacceptable. My sister ordered a ride and when the driver arrived, my sister was gesturing for him to wind down his glass so she can confirm he's her driver but the driver ignored her and kept a straight face. He rather was inside gesturing to my sister to open the door. When she finally did, the guy was asking her if she didn't see the details of his car on the app. Mehn, you don't just start quarreling with people especially someone you are to provide a service to when there's no provocation at all. All of us here that complain of riders not reading the car details are guilty of not paying attention to some certain things in the daily services that we receive. Let's learn to be patient and tolerant in this business please. Once a rider asks me the color of my car, I don't hesitate to tell him or her because it's faster and less stressful to do so than arguing on whether or not the rider can't read the details in the car. In some cases, the rider may not be knowledgeable enough to know that those other details are in the app. Some of these guys are not that tech savvy. You might be surprised to know that some people use Android phones but have never opened Google Chrome or any browser on their phones. All they know is Facebook, Instagram, etc. Apps, apps only. They can't even make a Google search. Please, it's a service not a war. Your rider is not your enemy. 33 Likes 1 Share |

Dailyparrot: In the olden days if you can’t read or write you are an illiterate. But this our generation if you can’t operate (apps / techy / online ) you are an illiterate, even if you can read or write. Though Corner44 talks about semi-illiterate only him can explain So I don’t care your level of education if you can’t operate simple apps like banking apps , ehailing apps, Snapchat, Twitter, wether on android or iPhone you are an illiterate. There is nothing you can tell me today , Once I hear “Where are you”’, what’s the color of your car? What’s you name ? Can you on your hazzal light (festac girl) Are you my driver ? If you like wear suit and have phd you are an illiterate. Having said that , we have 3 types of drivers approach to this hustle 1. Hoodlum driver approach : very high temper, waiting for rider to mess up and dey flare up, shout at you, like you and rider get personal beef before. 2. Ikejamanism/simps like or mumu approach Licking riders Ass cos of ratings, Shouting yes ma upandan, going down to open boot, carrying bags and undies for ladies, dashing dem 500# and keep d change 3. Veteran approach: They only care about d trip, is it surge, is it cash trip, is it long distance , is it good road. They may not greet you at all or care if you ask stupid question. Just let’s go. In all, the mood of the driver per time and quality of trip determines their approach. I’m not against you or your post just stating my point, in fact Some or must drivers too are illiterate but story for other day. I understand we need to be calming down too But dis Lagos no dey help matter. Many are mad few are roaming 17 Likes

kanuisagoat: Simple&short. And she'll spread the gospel among her peers. we need to change the face of this rideshare industry for good. I follow a telegram platform of South African Bolt Drivers, which comprises mainly of J'oburg, pretoria, capetown city drivers. Going by their daily ordeals in rideshare, I concluded that Nigeria and indeed Lagos (being cosmopolitan city and microcosm of ehailing industry) has a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng way to go, infact we are not yet there in terms of being urbanely behaved, polite, poise and of good public conduct. Its sad, both on part of drivers&riders 2 Likes |

Felicity0001: Lol. Feli. I have vowed never to honour request from these clowns that use foreign numbers on Uber. Specifically, US and UK numbers. Mostly stupid Nigerians that think that there's something special about them. I no wan wey person wey dey UK dey wash dead body for mogue or dey clean old people bum bum come dey form with stupid accent for me. And they are quick to report to Uber over flimsy stuffs. I dealt with two real bad last week. Uber blocked me. I no send, there's Bolt. They still unblocked themselves after a few days. 7 Likes |

Dailyparrot: This is the more reason they will see any car parked at their location and just open without verifying details. So even the vehicle parked happened to be a personal car with someone sitting in it, she will still ask the occupant to lower the window to ask silly question? Continue defending what doesn't make sense. 20 Likes 1 Share |

Dailyparrot: Rude? He handled it in the best possible way without saying a word. Hoodlum drivers would have taken down their glass and told her to stop asking stupid questions. Your sister knows how to book and she sure knows how to rate 1 star but she does not know how to check her vehicle details on the app and you're here blaming the driver that handled it in a very professional way by keeping quiet. As I said, your sister will not ask the next driver to wind down. The driver has passed his message across and your sister has gotten it. 21 Likes 1 Share |

kanuisagoat: Some riders will even stay beside the car and be asking are you the driver, what if I just said yes and I kidnap you ? Some will order and will just pop into the next corolla they see, what if all this kidnappers start using this mode to just look out for victims to carry... The app shows the plate number, the face and the car colour.. First thing is look out for the car name....Toyota or Honda or any as displayed to you . Check the plate number ( in a crowded place, place a call to the driver and asked if he can just step out of the car just to make the identification easier) Then you can confirm the face. But no....my people over here, they won't call,...call some of they, their response will be so provoking and the next you will hear is oga follow your map, so oga can follow your map, but you can't follow the app for details. The service is mutual, I sell you convenience and you pay me for it, so make nobody they form boss/always right for anybody. 6 Likes |
