I haven't heard of a diploma program in Health and Social Care in Nigeria. But if there is, then go for it. Please do well to throw more light on how and where to do this program in Nigeria, so that others can learn.

When you've completed the training and have been certified, you can apply for UK Health and Social Care jobs. If, or rather, when you succeed in getting a CoS, I don't think the UKVI would want to deny you a HACW visa. Cheers.

Hello, Richdee. Thank you for your comment. Having a care certificate should normally be of a greater advantage to boost one's chances of getting a Care Worker job in this HACW visa route. However, I can't vouch for Kope-medics meeting the expectations of providing CoS and accommodation for 3 months, especially as this might be quite competitive due to high demands. Hopefully this new law that's about to come into effect will not make it mandatory for those applying for Care Worker jobs to have care certificates and prior experience. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Please I need to clarify something....can somebody with a child care qualification NVQ 3 qualification apply under the health and care visa category.

The skill shortage list does not necessarily mention child care but am thinking it still under social worker or senior carer....

Hello, Newbie123. HCPC requires either IELTS results or a letter of English Language Proficiency (Medium of Instruction) issued by your university admin or department. The English Language Proficiency letter can only be accepted if you schooled in a country and university where English is the major language used for daily communication. Cheers.

Yes, I believe you can apply for roles such as Senior Healthcare Assistant, Senior Care Worker, etc. Specifically, you can look out for specialist children's hospitals such as NHS Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Birmingham Children's Hospital, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, etc. Child care is an aspect of Health and Social Care, just like adult/elderly care.

Can doing a volunteer caregiver work in a hospital help to gain reasonable experience that can assist one to get work? How long can the volunteer work last? What certification can she get from the trainer?
