Hello Fam.

I got a refusal letter (for study permit application) this morning, it was stated in the VO letter that: See attached image.
What should I do at this point?
Can I appeal? If Yes, how?

Hello Princetigris

The bolded though..

As our custom is here, after a refusal, you order for your GCMS notes to know the exact reasons for the refusal of your application.. When you get your notes, upload here so we can help figure out the concerns of the Visa Officer and tackle these concerns so you can get your Visa in your next application..

I wont advise an appeal if you are not sure of what you did. So order for your notes, when you see the refusal reasons and you are certain it was actually addressed in your application, then you can go for JR.. And I hope you have the money for it cos its not the same amount with Visa Application fee..

Lastly I saw that they refused you for Immigration status, I dont need GCMS notes to know you didnt apply from Nigeria and you failed to explain your current status in the country that you are... Please shed more light on your situation..

Peace

Hello Fam.

I got a refusal letter this morning, it was stated in the VO letter that: I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
What should I do at this point?
Can I appeal? If Yes, how?

It has ended in praise. PPR ALERT.
Third time applicant. What God cannot do does not exist.
I was admitted to UBC in 2019. I have had two refusals. The ist in 2019, the reasons were many... reason for visit, finances, no family ties, employment etc. The application was a disaster.

I deferred to 2020. By then I was married and had my son. I started online and started building my profile. I got a job working remotely as a research assistant for my professor in Canada. I applied and got financial aid and extra funding. Ohhh my admission came with 95 percent funding covering my school fees.

I was still a bit broke and by the time I applied in April 2021 I got another refusal in July 2021. I got the NSE letter and ignored it by the way. The reason was funds. I wasn't surprised. I haven't started getting payments for the work I was doing as a research assistant. I barely had up to 2 million in my account.
Now for this third application. I'll put up my timeline and documents. . Bear with me... its plenty ohhh. Lol

Timeline:
Submitted my application: 27th October 2021
Medicals upfront updated: 17th November 2021
Eligibility review: started around 29th or 30th Dec.
Just logged in and saw it.
BVL and PPR: 6TH JANUARY

DOCUMENTS
LOE
Forms
MBS of 5.5million. Lump sum.paid my father explained this in my LOE. I attached my father's sponsorship letter too.
UBC student ID Card
LOA ist and 2nd one
Funding letters
School fees receipt for a year
Enrollment letters for last year and this year
Transcript for the past one year in UBC
Letter of employment from UBC as a research assistant
Payment slips from UBC
UI Masters transcript and cert
Undergrad transcript and cert
Birth cert
Father's company docs
Cert of occupancy and other land docs
Screenshot of freelance jobs
Marriage certificate
Sons birth certificate and intl passport ( He isn't going going with me immediately.
My husbands employment letter and ID CARD

These are the only ones I can remember. Lol. I'm grateful to God. I encourage any 2nd or 3rd applicant to be hopeful. It will end in praise. To God be the glory.

Good afternoon my elders in the house. I have been a guest/silent reader. I want to say a big thank you to everyone contributing on this platform. I have gained a lot here.

Please I need your advice regarding my present situation. I submitted my application on the 14th of May 2021, and it was refused (reason-personal assets and financial status) on the 27th of September after starting classes online since the 7th of September, although I have deferred my admission to September 2022 because we need to resume for second semester in person, I am going for a one year course.

I reapplied immediately on the 7th of October, yes, I understand I’m supposed to order for my notes at first to know the actual reason. I requested for it on the 14th of Nov and I got the notes 2 days ago. I have attached the notes below.

The VOs concern was based on lump sums in my account, luckily for me, in my reapplication, I explained in details why I have lump sums in my account, I explained the nature of my business, please gurus in the house help use your eagle eyes to see if my explanation did justice, and if I need to add more to it, I can raise a webform if there is need for it. I have attached the explanation I gave.

Also, I noticed in the pre assessment note, the VO noted that my LOA has expired, I have gotten an updated one, should I upload it or wait until they request for it??

Please help your boy @Frankrobbn @justmellow @makano @Liniana @legacyedition @anon @lekiboboe @everybody
I am waiting for your replies…..Thank you.

Let me share my own two cents about agents here. Please understand that this is my opinion and I know it’ll differ from yours and that is okay but there might be a thing or two to learn from both our opinions.

I’ve been following this thread since 2013 and when I wanted to put in my first application in 2017 I used a lot of things I learnt from here to make it happen. I worked on it with a friend but unfortunately I got rejected. My 2nd application was the same too. Now I’m not saying I got rejected both times because I did it myself, I got rejected because my application wasn’t strong enough and I didn’t have enough funds to back myself up. When I was ready to apply the 3rd time I got really busy and decided to use an agent but a lot of the changes to my application I made myself, like changing my course which I think had a big impact on the final outcome. The one thing the agent said I should do as a self sponsored applicant that I didn’t think about was to open a fixed deposit account and have the money for my tuition and living expenses kept there. I also got rejected for the 3rd application but because I knew my application was good enough to get me a visa and my agent knew too so she advised I try judicial review if I had the money and I did which ultimately got me my visa.

Before you get an agent you have to check if they are accredited by the IRCC and that’s really important. Don’t just get any Tom dick and harry to sort your thing out. This is your life we are talking about.

The only thing I didn’t like about using an agent was not having direct access to my portal. To check I had to send her a message and they’ll send me a screen shot but I mean maybe it saved me the headache of actually checking all the time because it messes with your head lol.

So can you do it yourself and save yourself a lot of money? Yes!! you have all the information you need in this forum to be honest. You just have to be ready to do your research, ask questions and be patient.
But if you decide that you want to use an agent because you were busy like I was or because you just don’t know how to do these things make sure it’s an accredited agent. Don’t use these people who aren’t. You need to be able to hold people accountable and have them loose their license if they mess you up.

That’s my 2 cents. I hope it helps somebody out there

Nice. But bro can u give me the likely estimate of this Canada study visa

Don’t coarse anyone to respond to you, people who have answers either took their time to read back, research or experienced it first hand because everyone here except you knows that Nigerian bank cards have limits and can’t exceed a certain amount. So if there's a limit how will $2700cad fly? You should rather ask to suggest other payment options that will not take a dip in your pocket.
