This means there will hardly be a winner. 14days is too short. Not everyone fancy trading gold or Bitcoin that would yield such large profit/loss in short time considering the 5% daily drawdown rule.

Even ftmo set their profit target at 5% for the 14days not 10%. Except we use that. Then if we have a winner, the winner will work with mff criteria. I believe mff criteria won't be a problem for the ftmo trial winner.

You have a point. Will look into it

The reason why the last winner can join is because 10k is just the starting and since the firms allow accounts to be merged and if one person is opportuned to rise faster, because of the culture of giving and improving trading skills that we are building here, that person will be willing to give back too. It will be win win for all of us in the long term Including myself.

At bold is what Gabsonfx would term I Chop, You Chop, and We all Chop grin and that is a very fair business, in d long run, boss - we rise by lifting others!

The green highlight. I am still of the opinion, just as Gasive that the last winner will not be joining subsequent contest as long as he came out as the winner, he should do fine afterwards, only except he couldn't handle the Real Deal (Paid Prop Firm account).

The account should be trade enabled beyond the 14 days

Fxblue have all the needed parameters, it only requires settings from d host. Daily DD, Maximum DD all can be set.

This way, the competition will run its full course of 1 month.

Ftmo 2weeks trial not good at all. Suggestion is for d next competition since this one is fix already.

That’s true. Though I have an account I’m currently trading and trying to build an edge.
I really don’t see the need going into a competition without having an edge at the moment.
The year just commenced and I hope there will be subsequent competitions, and even if there isn’t, growth is still paramount.

I believe we're supposed to open a demo account with any broker, but adhere to ftmo's 10k challenge rules. I might be wrong though.

I believe this here should be a very viable solution to the current situation.

For concern as regards the daily drawdown rule, I think all drawdown should be capped at 5% max (not equity drawdown) and equity draw down should be removed. A winner here will still do well in live account.

That is the link to the first contest. It should get better over time.
Kindly read the rules before joining.
Once we have a minimum of 10 trading days and a winner, the contest will end even thou the duration is a month.
Because this is a first attempt at the contest, the first winner will get sponsored for mff $10k prop account and $10k to get data for the month.
The winner is the first person to hit 10% and respecting the ftmo rules but must trade 10 minimum days and maintaining 5% Daily DD Rules

If someone that wins last contest wins the next, he will get sponsored for the next plan if he is able to manage previous account in good standing.
Kindly suggest ways to improve and it will help with the next contest.
Lets keep it mature. The primary aim is to help us become a better trader and support each other.

Good one.

I have a ftmo demo account currently running, which means I won't be able to open another trial account until the present trial is completed. For this reason I will be opening a new ftmo account using a relative details, hope this will not affect my chance of participating in this challenge
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 22 by Piptocoin: 8:12pm On Jan 08, 2022
boss Infofirst, I think the one-month duration is more representative of long-term trading skill rather than the two-weeks duration which will lead to exaggerated results that cannot be duplicated in prop firm environment. Moreover, in prop firm funded account one has 22 trading days to be reasonably profitable.

I was going through forexfactory recently and I read where a guy said ftmo sent him a termination of contract email. The reason for the termination was that his trading style did not match the consistent trading skill they were looking for even though he had been profitable and had received payouts about 4 times from them. He admitted that his trading style included meeting the monthly percentage profit in two days or so and trading 0.01 lots to complete the minimum trading days. He also said the account was not long term as his strategy also blows the account which is why he had a number of ftmo evaluation accounts running alongside his funded account. Ftmo terminated all of them fairly as well as reimbursing him where it was needed and also gave him the value of the profits to which he was entitled for other accounts at the time of the termination.

If, truly, consistent long-term trading skill is required for a venture such as prop firm trading, then I think the competition should be modelled after that. Two weeks is neither too short but not ideally representative of long term goals. This is just an opinion and I stand to be corrected. Thank you (and GabsonFX) so much for all the opportunities....past, present and future (if there will be a future one). My appreciation is verbally inexpressible.

@infofirst you need to give a final verdict on what you expect from this the competition, reasonable as it may most opinions would always be subjective.

You need to screen out some usernames in d competition, only username with a certain opening period on nairaland........I believe people will join with multiple accounts.

Boss, if you think all won't be set to start d challenge on d right path, you can shift it forward...

Kindly guide on how to set the Daily DD on fxblue. That will help us open demo account outside of ftmo and we can make use of the one month duration. Its not too late to adjust all that hopefully

boss I believe the ftmo trial is good enough for the competition but if you want it to last for a month then the maximum drawdown should be set to 5% on fxblue.

What's your view on EURAUD?... I shorted since yesterday. Should I exit with loss?

Sellers are in already, the MM would be looking to hunt their stop losses around the 1.5910 area and above. I’ll consider selling once I see a sell pattern with a target of at least 50 pips.
