YES, there's a similarity between the two but the first ones at Genesis 6 were naturally created as God's sons while humans have inherited sin through Adam.
So those at Genesis 6 were God's sons by their nature but the Born Again Christians became God's Sons through faith in Jesus Christ {John 1:11-12} therefore nobody can become a Born Again without first getting baptized as one of Jesus' disciples {John 3:5-6} but as for those at Genesis 6 that's their nature before they left their abode for what is not their nature! 2Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6
