Good penalty review. Thank God for VAR

Honestly, VAR will tilt this AFCON in favour of teams with European based players with discipline. All these African teams with brutal defence will start paying for it.

I understand the root of your opinion on this matter.

I Watched the Green Eagles of the 1980s, I watched the Super Eagles of the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and now 2020s
For those of us Who have seen these different decades/generations of Eagles players, no doubt, we will tell you that the 1990s generation was the best. We were better than that 2nd round finish of 1994. Even FIFA ranked Nigeria 5th just before the WC started and slipped down to 11th in the first ranking just after the WC.
That 90s team was really great. Another factor is that so many countries had great teams that era. Likes of Brazil, Italy, Germany, Argentina, Netherlands also had their greatest teams that era. Playing against them, you stood a little chance.

It is only normal for people to rate the current team based on previous teams. In fact, in my head, the current generation is the weakest.
Hadn't read your response to safarigirl before I responded to her yet it's interesting to note that we both stressed the greatness of that team.

You posted this on November, last year while Tbaba also posted something same month, which other last year are we talking about here?

Could it be that Tbaba was the the same person as Suya of Cyber Eagles who died sometime in November last year?

Think he was a lecturer in America
And he is from edo north

Fabyom should know him better think he sent him a gift when he had a baby girl some time back

Chinua Achebe is from my hometown, Ogidi.

And by the way, how many penalties is Cameroun going to get in one game?

O pari

Cc.ChrisKels

Chinua Achebe is also from Nri-Awka areas.

Ikenga is best described as a personal deity for titled and influencial of the society, in precolonial northern Igbo land. Its not a community deity with a shrine where everybody worship. In fact , Ikenga is a feature of affluence.

Not you alone. Maduka doesn't inspire confidence. Yours is even better, you prefer Uzoho. Me, none of them cos I've seen them all to know they are all on the same level except that Akpeyi transmits fear in such a visceral way that even you watching him, will start shaking as he is shaking.

Can a penalty be called for a foul after the ball has been released?

If dem Dey talk about those 90s team you go think say na del bosque Spanish team wey win 2010 World Cup or Brazil and France

Go and check the stats of some of those 90s players and it’s nothing to write home about

It's not about stats. Oliseh had just two goals yet he's rated high as a DM. Kanu sef did not even score a single goal either at the WC or Afcon. Musa on the other hand has both WC and Afcon goals yet who would you rather have in your team?
Caveat I know they do not play same position but at least both are attackers

You really need an Atlas and a good geography text book urgently grin

So, you don't know why Egypt hosted in June, yet you are a sub Sahara African?

Elock1 grin

Egypt hosted in June the other time reason because it happens not to be in the tropical region that experience heavy rainy season amid March to September and dry harmattan season thereafter as a result of the wind from the Sahara desert.

EGYPT can be categorised as temperate region and experience same weather conditions with the Europeans Spring, Autumn, Winter and Summer

So expect CAF to revert back to the june/July format should a north or southern Africa country wanna host the AFCON
