Besides the issue Ikemba has with the federal government over his Dads property, i can’t say i heard of any abandoned property issue in the Western Region! But looking at the whole picture, one could equally argue Awo and other leaders in the west wanted to give the impression of being ‘fair and just’ to Igbos....which all rings hollow when you consider Awo had just been responsible for the starvation of thousands....if not millions of Igbo, and had joined the Fulani hegemony to wage war on a people fighting against ethnic-cleansing and islamofascism! This was the same Awo that had earlier declared Nigeria ‘a mere geographical expression’ and equally declared that ‘if by omission or commission the East were ALLOWED to secede, that the Western Region would japa as well (and i’m paraphrasing here)’!

The Ijaw and others who rushed to appropriate Igbo properties were blind in their greed, and weren’t on to the divide-and-rulen tactics the hegemony and their southern ally (who decades later can now claim they didn’t seize Igbo properties in their region) were using to set brother against brother in the east!

Hold Ojukwu responsible for the starvation of his people not Awolowo
Alll that nonsense you are writing on Awolowo holds no water

There is no where you go to war and expect to be fed by your adversaries
Ojukwu imposed unrealistic conditions on food supply and he was served

so stop all these tactics that you folk always use

When losing an
argument just bring in more irrelevant nonsense to confuse the undiscerning

What has this thread got to do with starvation?

Ojukwu was a key figure in the war and it was appropriate to seize his property
After he was pardoned he went to court all the way to the Supreme Court to retrieve his property so why all these claims of victimhood

Yes Awolowo was fair to Eboes
He saved the Federal allocation for the war period without Gowon's knowledge and handed it over at the end of the war. He also recapitalized ACB

He was a lot fairer to the same people who conspired to jail him than they would have been if roles were reversed

I know you'll come up with this. I mentioned the exact street the properties are located go and do your findings the properties are still there. I know that this info shocked you. Truth is bitter.
You made the claim can you substantiate it
Yes or no?
So the fact that you know a street name in PH proves what?
So if you tell us he owns GRA we should just believe?

Ojukwu took the government to court all the way to the Supreme court to get his property in Lagos State
He was successful

So why did he not go to court to claim GRA in PH

After declaring the war No victor no vanquish by Gowon in order to facilitate reconcilation you still think it is right for people's property to be seized by the same govt that want to integrate the country then. We like been dishonest to ourselves. Ojukwu is no Saint same for Awo, Zik and co we have to come to terms with that. Had Aburi accord been respected we wouldn't be talking about all these. That's by the way sha, if you excuse Awo for the starvation policy what about the 20pounds issue? Make we dey talk true for this country, the "Heroes" we like to deify are humans and are prone to make mistakes.

The thing with most of you is that you people like arguing w/o substance go and read my post again all those properties belonging to Sir Lois was handed back to Ojukwu in 1995 by Abacha after overthrowing Shonekan.. Have you people wondered why Ojukwu was close to Abacha? and how the same Ojukwu visited Saro Wiwa in prison and left him a cryptic message the famous "Good morning"....
Well I'll forgive you because you people don't travel neither do you read or investigate things for yourself.

Ojukwu had not been pardoned and the no victor no vanquished did not apply to him.
His pardon came 10 years later
The problem with you folk is you are always emotional
The subject of this thread is not whether it is right or wrong.
Stop taking nonsense about Aburi accord that is another argument nott for this thread

So are we now agreeing that Lagos state govt stole Ojukwu's father's property? Even though Sir Lois had nothing to do with the war.

It was a military government and one of those governors was Ndubuisi Kanu
Ojukwu was lucky that the seizure was not formalized by a Military decree

Ikembas' father owned WAEC house in Lagos! When the federal gov't refused to hand it back, Ikemba slept in his car outside the property until the federal gov't eventually caved in and handed it back! Now ownership has rightly been returned to the Ojukwu family.

It was the former JAMB office at Num-13,Ojora Close ,Ikoyi

Gibberish!!

If Ironsi dealt with the coup plotters immediately and handover power to civilians maybe the counter coup won't have happened.

Killing of Ibos in the North was a terrible thing, but Ojuku knew seccesion is a crime in Nigeria, Nnamdi Azikwe was against the seccesion clause in our constitution, so secceding is a crime

Imagine if the Scottish just decide to secced from the UK without carrying other people alone.

You saw how it ended for the Catalonians in Spain?

No where in the world will Ojuku do what he did and it won't lead to a civil war.

He didn't just leave with Ibo land, he left will Cross River and Rivers State, the states that is not part of Ibo land.

The Nigeria's setback includes among other things the massive chunk of ill-educated goons roaming freely in the shithole.

Before that ever happened Azikiwe as Premier of the East Commandered much of Port Harcourt Lands for Government Projects and shared much of it among his Kinsmen and Friends by the time Ojukwu took over 93 % of Port Harcourt Lands had been forcefully acquired by non Indigenes through Azikiwe’s scheming

On Freehold O !
Not on leasehold that would have returned the land to the indigenes after 99 years

The Indigenes Of Port Harcourt were practically Squatters on their own Ancestral Lands

There worse part was that selling land was against their Culture so the Eastern Region had acquired the Lands by Strong Arm Tactics

Adaka Boro and his boys were like , you have pushed us to the wall and we are not having this

That was what led to the Adaka Boro Niger Delta Revolution Of 1966

Unlike you ,I don't argue about things am not aware of (it's a skill learn it).
The only accusation I made on this thread is that your a lieing yeriba and the only evidence I need is all your anti-igbo comment on Nairaland .

Meanwhile, back to the issue, someone posted a picture and said it's ojukwu's house stolen by sari wiwa. You claim it's a lie and ask the person you accused of lieing to provide evidence.

Am pretty sure that the burden of proof lies on the accuser. You said the picture couldn't be that of ojukwu's house - prove it .
