JohnBullMySon: Well, it is probabaly because I seem to be the only one or one of the very few who even bother to conduct due checks on our players from tactical POVs. And you were all here when I walked in here and did some proper justice to Nwakali's playing roles at Huesca. So yeah... and I didn't need charts again. I used them days back. 1 Like 1 Share

Well said Doc! I'm really concerned about our strike force! Losing 3/4 in form forwards and having to rely on two (albeit talented) greens is really not ideal. Iheanacho, Chukwueze, Iwobi and Aribo will really have to step up in a big way to carry our goal scoring burden. In defense I would pair Awaziem with Omeruo. Ekong is just too error prone for my liking. For the goalkeeping position I still think Uzoho edges Okoye for now. Well we will soon se what happens in the next 36 odd hours. TheSuperNerd: While true, I still think Nwakali's stats are nothing to write home about, deep or not. With his talent from U17 (and I am not being sarcastic here), I don't understand how he is managing not to have numbers. If not goals, then at least assists. I hope he learns to add numbers to his game, else how does he convince bigger clubs to invest in him? 10 Likes 1 Share |

here we go again . I am of the opinion that if the audience and people here want to discuss Christ, then they should do so. The thread was meant for the people, not the people for the thread. After all, Christ is everywhere, and even this thread is in Him, as the Bible says "in him all things consists" TheSuperNerd: 3 Likes |

Missing Osimhen (Our Biggest Gun & 1st Choice Striker), Onuachu (Our 2nd Choice Striker) and Dennis (one of the most inform forwards in the EPL) is a big blow but the fact that we still have an attack personnel boasting Iheanacho and inform Sadiq and Awo alongside the attacking wingers show how much depth in quality we have upfront from a potential POV. The only worry is that certain camp reports say Awo hasn't exactly lit things up with goals and that Sadiq, although have scored haven't actually bagged as much as expected. So yes, your concerns are valid because Awo and Sadiq are indeed Afcon greenhorns but I believe Sadiq can draw from his experience as a 19 yrs old back at the 2016 Rio Olympics where he led the lines in attack. I expect the likes of Chukwueze, Ejuke, Aribo, Iwobi, Iheanacho and even Simon to an extent to help carry the goals and creative burden of the team alongside our Midfield set-up which includes the third-latter mentioned. In defence, I wouldn't mind any of Ekong or Omeruo as partners to Awaziem. My only concern is that I hope Eguavoen installs Awaziem as first choice CB. If that is so, then his partner would likely be Ekong on the virtue of him being second captain. Some reports do say Ekong is the most dribbled-past defender in training even in Garoua but I would not blame him. You cannot be facing Chukwueze, Ejuke and Onyekuru and not get megged every now and then. Infact, Ekong will face not much Dazzling Winger threats (apart from Salah perhaps) bigger than what he faces in training against 2 of the baddest winger talents on the continent (Chukwueze and Ejuke). Lollll So if I have my way, it would be Awaziem-Omeruo pair at CB in a four man backline but it's likely to be Ekong-Awaziem or don't be shocked, Ekong-Omeruo (Eguavoen could go with Omeruo's tournament experience dating back to Afcon 2013 and up till Afcon 2019. Tournaments where he was really outstanding). Lastly, on the GKs... I know Okoye may not inspire much confidence for now in the mind of some of us but he is the Number 1 and his last few games for Sparta showed a lad in improved form. Uzoho also has been good for Omonia and his PK stopping has gotten better. He did it in the Uefa ECL and has been doing it decently in Camp. But bear in mind, it was Uzoho who spilled that Nwakali freekick in that training video which Onyekuru pounced on and scored. Game ended 2-nil in favour of Nwakali’s team. Moses Simon scored the other after being set up by Chukwueze. So you see, at this point... The two goalies still have their sore points and I would be very okay with either in Goal. But I wouldn't mind Okoye continuing in goal. Time will tell. chrisooblog: 2 Likes |

Has it ever occurred to you that the quality of players around you can have a direct slap on your stats? What can you do if no one seems to be burying the chances you create? Lol Just in his last Huesca game alone, Nwakali was one of the most outstanding performers. He played AMF for the most parts while still falling deeper only a few times and he forged 3 very good chances which were squandered. If two of those had been converted, we would be talking 2 assists for the lad. Like I already said. Nwakali is a deeplying Playmaker. A more deeper MF operator than many of our MFs even though he has played AMF a good number of times. But then let me ask this... Why didn't this agenda rise up strongly when Nwakali was tearing up La Liga 2 at Alcorcón and bossing things in the middle? Why? Lol drDoom3: 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Look SuperNerd, I respect you a lot. However, it is unfounded and very implausible to say I am advertently painting someone as 'anti-christ', when I only started the reason why Christ can be sometimes discussed here. This allegation is not apt, no caps. Football discussions can go on, but that doesn't someone cannot discuss Christ when need to arises. Both of us know this. TheSuperNerd: |

Funny how some peeps here are tryna package Nwakali.. Truth be told, Nwakali has no business in our national team. This is a dude that plays regularly for his club and he plays almost as a second striker sometimes yet there are no highlights. 0 goals and 0 assists in over 20 games in competitions in Spain Div 2 shows how wack he is. 6 Likes 1 Share |

I know you can discuss Christ anywhere. And me saying stop... could make me look antichrist but I am sure you know I am also a Christian. Now I'm just saying for the sake of the thread, we should do things on that end in moderation. I read from the point the discussion began and I saw different views both Christian and Anti-Christian, Religious and Anti-religious. I even saw traditional. I am just saying, it would only be a matter of time before someone misinterprets something said by anyone on this religious discussion or have a view leave a really bad taste in him and a verbal war breaks out. That is what I am trying to avoid. So when I say stop for now. I do it with that big picture in mind. It is a highly sensitive discussion path you guys tread on. And Highly Sensitive normally is highly risky. So My good man, that is all. Hope you understand. Back to the beautiful game. Moniter0: 1 Like 1 Share |
