[quote author=adeniyi02 post=109224070 Hi Adeniyi02, 1) I'll advise you apply to Management/Business related courses 2) apply for Management programs with Co-op/Practicum/experiential/internship 3) check universitystudy.ca or 1grad.ca ( they have the programs listed out by province, co-op opportunities e.t.c) 4) prepare for graduate interview 5) write a strong statement of purpose and professional graduate cv For me, PG Cert in a College is a non-starter based on your years of experience. 1 Like |

Frankrobbn1: I sent an email request please reply, ild love to commence my process but with good direction. I searched through this platform for anyone with a similar experience to mine, but none so I am posting incase some one down the line falls in my category; a step by step walk through or an advisable path for me to follow with regards to my study permit would be appreciated Ild note the different concerns I have, kindly let me know what you think; 1. I am currently in the UK, on a temporary residents visa, I do not know if non foreign nationals residing in UK get Canadian study visa from the UK. There is an office to submit applications here in London, but there is no location for medicals, as I read on CIC, UK is a sovereign country If I can explain it this way, The closest location for medicals is in Ireland, Please do you have experience with foreign nationals applying from UK, and how medicals had to be carried out 2. I have a toddler of about 3 years old, he is an American passport holder, still not sure of applying with him or apply alone, then apply for him when the permit is approved, this is with regards to ties to home and leaving Canada after study regardless of not applying with my toddler do I have to show receipts of medical expenses in the U.S? 3. My first degree is in the field of Architecture/Construction, I started a postgrad degree in Construction in EU but do not have my certificate yet. So I am applying for a 2 years College Graduate certificate in Business and Data Analytics with just my Bsc Certificate and my work experience, with construction and marketing/sales/customer service experience. The construction experience is from employment from companies in my home country (Nigeria), the marketing/sales/customer service experience is from running my own outfit ( also in Nigeria), how can I explain this in the statement of Purpose. relating my experience in Sales/Marketing/Customer service with Data Analytics considering my work experience. 4. Do I have to show the VO the degree I do not have a certificate for yet since I am not using it for admission. the visa is on my passport of visiting the location and residency on staying there for a period, If I omit the degree, do I have to explain my stay as well? 5 My partner is going to be my sponsor, we also intend putting some funds in a GIC account and making provision for accommodation for a year in Canada. 6. My partner applied to study in Canada a while back, but he was refused on ties to home country and proof of funds, so he applied for study in UK, he would not be applying with myself, I just thought to state to give a wider picture. 7, I have a good travel history, but this doesn't concern the VO I just have to package my application properly to get the permit. feedback urgently needed. Guzelgears: I want to add my little contribution based on two issues. * From your statement above you said you are a student in the UK . Which means your stay over there is temporary and because of this reason you dont have a strong tie to the UK ( no job and your stay is temporary). In other words I dont think it would help improving your chance of getting the study permit approved based on the location of study permit application submission. *Not everyone is required to do or submit a medical examination after submitting a study permit application. If you live in the EU or UK with a strong health system and you recently didnt visit a third world country like Nigeria for example and stay for up to 6 months before applying for your study permit you might be exempted from submitting a medical examination certificate. In otherwords submitting a medical will depend on your country of residence ( if you are currently applying from there ) and the countries you recently visited and if you stayed there for up to 6 months. Lastly the points I raised above are mainly based on my own understanding and opinion . I am not an immigration consultant. |

Ketima: You have said my mind. Bit by bit, people no longer reckon with giving back to this forum that has done so much for them. Typical human mentality of getting what they want and moving on. It is well 6 Likes |

Good morning house I posted a few days ago about my visa application being rejected on the grounds of personal assets and financial status after providing proof of funds of over 30 million naira and landed property documents belonging to my father. My previous application was through an agent before I was introduced to the thread. Moving forward, please how do I go about securing my visa and I would like for the house to point out my mistakes while also helping me with information to strengthen my chances of acquiring the visa. @ketima @makano @Frankrobbn1 @ lekiboboe and other gurus in the house please your urgent assistance is needed. Zubbyk: It's not right to guess what went wrong with applications without gcms note. Order your gcms note. But since ircc had started using refusal templates. I can give you hint if it pertains to you. Let me share with you some refusal reasons based on personal assets and financial status. 1. I have reviewed the application. Taking the applicant's plan of studies into account, documents submitted show some funds seem available; but with lump sum deposits. Concerns that these funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will adhere to the terms and conditions imposed as a temporary resident. For the reasons above, I have refused this application. 2. "I have reviewed the application Taking the applicant's plan of study into account, documents submitted show some funds seem available, but there are concerns that company funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that proposed studies would be a reasonable expense . Prove of funds dad's personal savings account with $100,000 balance . Tuition for whole course is less than $30,000 . Case challenged in court and ircc request out of court settlement ." 3. This one is long, can't type it. It's about applicants family establishments. Landed properties not submitted, business invoices not submitted. 4. Provenance of funds, how the funds were accumulated. 1 Like |

Application submitted; 28th October Biometrics; 2nd November Upfront Medicals; 15th October(submitted with application) Medical Request; 23rd of December, I had submitted so I raised a webform with a new link my friend sent and they updated it on the 24th of December. PPR; 5th January BVL; 10th January Documents Submitted- Under Client Information; Birth certificate Degree Certificate Police Certificate Statement of Purpose NYSC Certificate Correspondence from places I’ve worked; (Aknowledgement letter and Employment letter for when I get back from my current job and a reference letter from my previous job) My Current job is my dad’s company and I wrote in my SOP that I’ll be working there after I leave Canada and would subsequently take over the company when my dad retires. Letter of Sponsorship from my dad. University Transcript (BSc) IELTS Upfront Medical Form Vaccination Card (Take this to your medical appointment instead) Under Proof of Means of Financial Support; Sponsor’s funds; mybankStatement(MBS) of two company accounts and one personal account, all my father’s. (40m) CAC documents to back up company ownership claim Reference Letters from all 3 Banks School Receipt for 4k CAD deposit Landed Property documents (3) Personal funds; a fixed deposit certificate of 1.5 million, I explained in my SOP how I came about the money. I figured since I’m 25, I should have some funds of my own. Also I did a table of content for the documents submitted at the end of the SOP before my final statement. When I eventually travel in April, I’ll drop landing gist lol. Thank you all for the helpful messages. I kept reading through the thread for ideas during my application. 34 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello Zubby This is a common everyday generic refusal reason which can be properly tackled with the study of your GCMS notes, so do the needful and order for your GCMS notes, when its ready, you can come back here with the notes, then we help you interprete the notes and give you ways to tackle the concerns of the Visa officer.. Peace Zubbyk: |

Hi Ketima, This thing is so worrisome. I’ve shouted it numerous times but It’s not changing. I wonder what they would have met if pioneers were like them. It’s well. This forum is a free source to support. Nobody can take your Visa back once granted. The info sharing is somehow. Even Landing gist scarce when December was booming on ban issue and how many people rerouting and asking for WhatsApp group. What now happen after that ? God help us… Regards. Ketima: 2 Likes |
