Zubbyk: Good morning house I posted a few days ago about my visa application being rejected on the grounds of personal assets and financial status after providing proof of funds of over 30 million naira and landed property documents belonging to my father. My previous application was through an agent before I was introduced to the thread. Moving forward, please how do I go about securing my visa and I would like for the house to point out my mistakes while also helping me with information to strengthen my chances of acquiring the visa. @ketima @makano @Frankrobbn1 @ lekiboboe and other gurus in the house please your urgent assistance is needed. Thank you First get your GCMS note to know the actual reason you were denied. The reasons below are just generic ones, but the actual one. 1 Like |

Landing gist!!!!
I used Egyptair. Left by 2:30pm on Friday Jan 7 through Abuja. I was asked to print all my required docs so they can scan it - Covid test results, ArriveCAN, school fees receipt, enrollment letter. My luggage was not searched. Arrived Cairo for 5 hrs layover by 8:40pm. Boarded for Toronto from Cairo by 2am and I was asked for Covid test results and ArriveCAN before boarding.
Arrived Toronto 7am. Joined the queue where I had to self register my travel docs and I got a receipt.
After that, I joined another queue where they asked for my receipt, passport and ArriveCAN. Then I was asked to join another queue to get my study permit.
I was asked for my study permit approval letter (letter you get on your account after your passport has been stamped). Because I didn’t have a physical copy, they asked for my passport and I was asked to wait with others. Then my name was called, I went to meet the lady, she asked my school name, course name and if my classes have started. Then gave me my study permit.
From there I went to pick up my luggage, then I was directed to where I submitted my receipt and exited the airport.
Please I’m available for more info if you have questions. Thank you 25 Likes |

Good point Ketima... Its just unfortunate that peeps can be this ungrateful, but am I surprised, No.. Some of the applicants that got their PPR of recent here, messaged me privately in the past concerning their application and I gave them my professional advise and instructions for free, but now they have gotten their PPR, no thank you or appreciation.. Even if you cant show your appreciation publicly on the forum, you can send it to me privately via email cos that is the channel through which you communicated with me in the first place.. I am not actually saying anyone should go down on their knees to thank me or something, but when I see peeps thanking me for what I do here, it even motivates me to do more and go the extra mile.. I cant count the number of peeps I have helped review their SOP and LOE for free, and gbam, they feel its their right.. That is why you see many gurus now charging for their service, simply cos peeps actually take for granted the voluntary work they do... And funny enough applicants actually appreciate when they pay for what you do for them.. Now I don't review and vet SOP and LOE for free again cos of the not too good experience I have had in the past with applicants who I did it for free.. I don't know how you will get all the information you need by asking several questions as regards your application, and when you get your Visa, you tend to easily forget this family that gave you all what you needed for your approval. The only time you tend to remember this family is when you have another question to ask.. Its really Bad and discouraging to be honest.. You don't know even the gurus still learn from the timelines and posts you all drop here? You think its only the newbies? Personally, I am still learning on this platform cos what I know is what I read on this platform coupled with my personal research and study as regards Canadian study permit.. So showing gratitude goes a long way, not just on this thread but in our everyday life and activities... Personally when I see applicants thanking me or any of the gurus on this thread for the work done, it gears me up to do more... it shows our contribution here is being appreciated, But unfortunately, not everyone will appreciate you for the good you do, and that is one thing I have learnt in life, so it doesn't really affect me.. I have kept mute about this issue for a long time, I just had to speak about this after seeing Ketima's post... This is an issue we have addressed in the past without any change, we just hope it changes now that we are in a new year.. Peace Ketima: Hello all,
I want to appreciate us all for the good job we are doing here. But I must be sincere with us, It breaks my heart that recently, seems this thread have now turned to ONLY ASKING AND TAKING WITHOUT GIVING BACK
Imagine if the gurus that started this informative thread had left without giving back, by now many of us would be in the dark as regards to Canada study permits processes or at the mercy of wicked agents who would have sapped us dry of our hard earned money and still dash us ban.
Now if we don't give back, how would the newbies learn and not fall victims of these agents? It has gotten to the point that newbies and old members now had to beg or ask people to drop timeline after shout of PPR.
The essence of this timeline sharing is to help one another, whom by looking at documents submitted, will make him or her know where he or she faulted. We don't need to be asked to drop timeline before doing it. Let's do it to help one another. Is not all the time that the gurus will be here to direct and answer questions.
Reading through chats, I saw influx of shouts of PPR some days ago and it ended there. Guess God has now answered your prayers and you don't need this thread again Abi?
Let's all help one another through sharing of our timeline and document's submitted please. It goes a long way in helping.
Also, please those that have travelled, please endeavour to share your landing gist nah. It will help people getting ready to travel to know what and what you have handy and what to expect. Very many questions of people who are about to travel have asked as regards documents needed at the airports by airlines, but no clue cos those that have travelled, haven't come back to give us landing gist.
Sometime last month during the flight ban, many left through indirect route and many have gone after the lifting of flight ban. So what's happening? Please you all should come back and give is landing gist. It go help us well well. Jay316, I'm waiting for your own in particular lol.
@Makano, guess you need to inform justmellow about the thread. The pages is now too long to read through. Help us tell the moderators to do what they know how to do best.
I wish us all the best. We all shall smile at the end of this huzzle. 16 Likes |

It's not right to guess what went wrong with applications without gcms note. Order your gcms note.
But since ircc had started using refusal templates. I can give you hint if it pertains to you. Let me share with you some refusal reasons based on personal assets and financial status.
1. I have reviewed the application. Taking the applicant's plan of studies into account, documents submitted show some funds seem available; but with lump sum deposits. Concerns that these funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will adhere to the terms and conditions imposed as a temporary resident. For the reasons above, I have refused this application.
2. "I have reviewed the application
Taking the applicant's plan of study into account, documents submitted show some funds seem available, but there are concerns that company funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that proposed studies would be a reasonable expense .
Prove of funds dad's personal savings account with $100,000 balance . Tuition for whole course is less than $30,000 . Case challenged in court and ircc request out of court settlement ."
3. This one is long, can't type it. It's about applicants family establishments. Landed properties not submitted, business invoices not submitted.
4. Provenance of funds, how the funds were accumulated. Thank you. I would be ordering my Gcms notes to avoid speculation |

This is a common everyday generic refusal reason which can be properly tackled with the study of your GCMS notes, so do the needful and order for your GCMS notes, when its ready, you can come back here with the notes, then we help you interprete the notes and give you ways to tackle the concerns of the Visa officer..

My case is similar to yours. i am planning on relocating with my partner to canada from the UK. I am presently on a student visa Guzelgears:
I sent an email request please reply, ild love to commence my process but with good direction. I searched through this platform for anyone with a similar experience to mine, but none so I am posting incase some one down the line falls in my category; a step by step walk through or an advisable path for me to follow with regards to my study permit would be appreciated
Ild note the different concerns I have, kindly let me know what you think;
1. I am currently in the UK, on a temporary residents visa, I do not know if non foreign nationals residing in UK get Canadian study visa from the UK. There is an office to submit applications here in London, but there is no location for medicals, as I read on CIC, UK is a sovereign country If I can explain it this way, The closest location for medicals is in Ireland, Please do you have experience with foreign nationals applying from UK, and how medicals had to be carried out
2. I have a toddler of about 3 years old, he is an American passport holder, still not sure of applying with him or apply alone, then apply for him when the permit is approved, this is with regards to ties to home and leaving Canada after study regardless of not applying with my toddler do I have to show receipts of medical expenses in the U.S?
3. My first degree is in the field of Architecture/Construction, I started a postgrad degree in Construction in EU but do not have my certificate yet. So I am applying for a 2 years College Graduate certificate in Business and Data Analytics with just my Bsc Certificate and my work experience, with construction and marketing/sales/customer service experience. The construction experience is from employment from companies in my home country (Nigeria), the marketing/sales/customer service experience is from running my own outfit ( also in Nigeria), how can I explain this in the statement of Purpose. relating my experience in Sales/Marketing/Customer service with Data Analytics considering my work experience.
4. Do I have to show the VO the degree I do not have a certificate for yet since I am not using it for admission. the visa is on my passport of visiting the location and residency on staying there for a period, If I omit the degree, do I have to explain my stay as well?
5 My partner is going to be my sponsor, we also intend putting some funds in a GIC account and making provision for accommodation for a year in Canada.
6. My partner applied to study in Canada a while back, but he was refused on ties to home country and proof of funds, so he applied for study in UK, he would not be applying with myself, I just thought to state to give a wider picture.
7, I have a good travel history, but this doesn't concern the VO I just have to package my application properly to get the permit.
feedback urgently needed.
Thank you

I want to add my little contribution based on two issues. * From your statement above you said you are a student in the UK . Which means your stay over there is temporary and because of this reason you dont have a strong tie to the UK ( no job and your stay is temporary). In other words I dont think it would help improving your chance of getting the study permit approved based on the location of study permit application submission.
*Not everyone is required to do or submit a medical examination after submitting a study permit application. If you live in the EU or UK with a strong health system and you recently didnt visit a third world country like Nigeria for example and stay for up to 6 months before applying for your study permit you might be exempted from submitting a medical examination certificate. In otherwords submitting a medical will depend on your country of residence ( if you are currently applying from there ) and the countries you recently visited and if you stayed there for up to 6 months.
Lastly the points I raised above are mainly based on my own understanding and opinion . I am not an immigration consultant.
thank you so much, for pointing out these things. my partner is the one studying here in UK. I am on spouse visa, and can work fulltime. can this be put in the right light to apply. We haven't travelled out of the UK since we arrived, I don't know if UK medicals and Canada medicals are done the same but we did UK medicals for visa application before travelling into the UK. thank u once again, and if u have further suggestions I am all ears. |

Am i surprised? Just because its easy to get admission in the UK, and also its easy to get a UK study Visa, applicants tend to conclude that UK is better than Canada.. Like I always tell applicants that seek my advise on the choice between UK and Canada.. both countries are wonderful, but Canada is the best.. I know quite a number of peeps that port to Canada from Uk.. But I dont really hear of peeps porting to the UK from Canada..
