Meliforme:i’m in no way dissing iheanacho, he is the only proven goal scorer we have in that team. What I’m harping about is that, Awoniyi and Sadiq are products of the naija system and are both No9 in their respective clubside and the various age group they played in naija, also both are not like Dennis who just blew up overnight(if I can say that) we have been looking at these guys for about 5 years or more and hoping they’d get the chance. The chance is NOW. Awoniyi is 24-25, umar 23/24. If they can’t cut it, maybe they won’t. I would certainly not enjoy iheanacho being my no 9 sha. The guy no even get the physique for that role. 2 Likes |

chrisooblog: From my observations so far, the entire CAF VAR setup is pretty useless. Here are my reasons: 1. No replay of scenes 2. Lack of quality camera angles. They have just one angle to review a scene which is pathetic and doesn't tell the whole story 3. No clarity and lacks fairness to me 4. No reasons or illustrations shown for final decisions 5. The whole system is subjected to easy manipulation 6. They waste way too much time to review a scene which they end up not displaying for the viewers CAF did not adequately prepare for this VAR system deployment. They only used a flying camera setup in the opening game yesterday and nothing of such here. Anyways, there can always be improvements. 2 Likes 1 Share |

eddie7: Anything is possible tho, no one is ruling Senegal out totally from the top favorites for the trophy. We're saying that Senegal should up their game cos their current style of play makes them look more of a struggling side |

Shukusheka: That’s the point… We don’t have to be necessarily aggressive in the box… we just need to be fast enough to create chances and score goals. This should be more of a 4-1-3-2 with Chuks and Ejuke a bit more central (I.e Salah and Mane) and Nacho slightly behind in a Firmino-esque false 9 spraying through passes and finishing in the box where necessary. |

CornOak:True. However, they're only improving at least there is effort to make things standard. The flying camera is actually a rope camera. I don't think FIFA permits drones. That rope camera is fixed to the stadium and not every stadium has it. Especially the ones without cover. |

Stormtrooper11: A lot of people have said it here before, a lot of African teams do themselves a lot of disservice by hiring shitty and sib standard national team coaches , whether indigenous or Foreign for their national teams. See senagal with good players but will still struggle against mid European teams for world cup because they have a terrible technical department. 1 Like |
