Heishere: Road Plc suffered the same faith before it eventually wound up. Declared 1 for 4 bonus and 45k dividend. Took almost a year before the dividend was paid and bonus never acted upon. I wrote a lot of petitions to SEC, NGX, African Prudential and the company itself, all to no avail. For me, I don’t think SEC is actually protecting the interest of shareholders but the interest of anybody that contributes to the SEC pocket. If u check very well concerning inaction of SEC to approve the corporate action embarked upon by those companies, it would not be more than money issue- companies not meeting making one payment or the others to SEC God will help us 1 Like 1 Share |

To be honest, the NSE is really stable compared to the NYSE...I dare say compared to the amount I invested, I made more profit in the NSE 2 Likes |

austinkenneth:In my own little understanding, GTB's result is not as bad as to warrant the fall in price from over N30.....now to N25.50. It's possible a core investor is exiting while another one is coming in. The type of volumes exchanging hands in GTCo since it started the shedding can only be done by a pot belly person or persons. Don't think an average investor can be selling those huge volumes. I can sense some power play here. We should also note that it's someone or some entities that are buying the stock. I think whoever is in the train should just calm down. Be enjoying your dividends first while the billionaires sort themselves out. If you have some funds be picking in tranches as they're crashing it to average down. My gut feelings is saying by the time they crashed it to 22, if at all it gets there, GTCo will likely reverse back up. I no know anything or sabi book oo, just gut feelings. 3 Likes

The problem with NYSE for me is that there is no commission-free stock platform for Nigerians(e.g like Robinhood). Note:Passfolio is not commission-free due to their unfavourable terms and conditions in regards to trading commissions, deposit, withdrawal and currency conversion charges among all charges. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by RodgersAkpafu: 6:55pm On Jan 11, 2022 |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Wapgod(m): 8:24pm On Jan 11, 2022 |
RodgersAkpafu:Lots of hidden charges including the following: No commission-fees except on stocks worth less than US$5 (limited to US$1M in orders per month*). *All stock trades that exceed the US$1M limit will cost the largest of: 0.1% or US$0.02/share. Stocks worth less than US$5 you will pay a commission of $0.02/share Check passfolio. com/fees to see their fees. Unlike say RobinHood and other USA only stockbrokers which is truly commission-free and no fee on deposit and withdrawals. |
