Abeg u guys should help me out on this I am just coming from the new born babies thread am not really getting much answers, I need answers especially from mother's that given birth coz I am a ftm Good evening everyone am new here and I need help my baby's is 10 weeks with BW of 2.7 spend some time at NICU and reduced but didn't check d weight at that time but his current weight at 10 weeks is 5.9kg d pediatrician told me he is suppose to weigh more than this because I was giving him water so she asked me to stop giving water and do EBF now where I need ur advice is

1] is he suppose to weigh more than this? at 6 week he was 4.9kg and another question I found out that sometimes I wouldn't lactate well and he would be hungry so I do feed him with Nan milk at least till I eat and lactate well

2] is it ok if I substitute breastmilk and formula? Although I seriously want to do Ebf.

Hi,mama. He is gaining weight well. Since you you dont lactate very well,please do both formular and breastmilk. The baby will gain weight even if you give formular alone sef. My first started taking formular from day 1; I wanted to do ebf but i struggled and struggled to produce breastmilk to no avail. I had to do both as breastmilk couldnt sustain him. If your baby takes formular,he would need to drink water because of constipation.

Now that I properly rested and healed, I want to share my birth story as a testimony of the Gods love and goodness to also encourage TTC moms out there that’s their time is near..

Pls if you are pregnant or still trying hold unto this bible verse Exodus 23-25-26, it’s indeed very powerful. Do meditate on it

I have been married for a while, tried to conceive for some months and finally got pregnant which turned out to be a missed miscarriage. I and hubby were broken but we were comforted that at least I could get pregnant and another one would come.

After a while of anxiously trying, we decided to seek medical intervention, I did scans, follicular tracking etc, hubby was asked to do his seminal fluid analysis which came back poor, poor motility,poor count ETC

He was placed on drugs, but his sperm count kept getting bad until our only hope was ICSI/IVF. We decided to do it, which failed. This was the year 2020

With the bad sperm count, IVF was our only hope of having a biological child, I prayed and got tired of praying, I stopped praying at all.

The beginning of January I and DH decided to try another IVF procedure but this time in India, we contacted the hospital and we were booked for December 2021.


January to march I kept sending different groups in and outside Facebook to put us in their prayers.

Miraculously DH sperm improved without any medical help, I missed my period April and delivered my baby via an emergency CS in January.

The devil tried to rear his head at the last stage, but trust God who s always a step ahead of the evil one, baby was born hale and hearty.

I am typing this today with my beautiful baby on my chest and I want to encourage everyone to make out time to intercede in prayers for Mamas who are still trying to conceive, as the journey is not an easy one.

Can i ask what is done to recover from the prolapse

Just seeing this, nothing done. The C.S was to avoid me pushing my bladder out during delivery since it was really out. The doctor said sometimes the prolapse is due to uterus pressure on the bladder and it will correct itself as the uterus shrinks back to normal. Truly,it's almost not noticeable again when I touch and baby is a month today.

Please I want to ask as a new mum , if milk flowing from my breasts when I'm not breastfeeding my baby at that moment indicates that I'm producing enough milk
