Good day house, Still waiting on a decision anxiously. I got an update on my gckey but not in my email. When I opened it, there was no update there. Is this what is called ghost update? And is it usually a positive outcome that follows? |

Exactly what we call ghost update . I pray for a positive decision sooner than later. VonVictor: 2 Likes |

Mayo, you said it all. Everyone is quick to discourage JR. JR is not for the faint hearted, you can be lucky to get settlement soon or you may be on it for a while longer, but the essence of JR is blotting wrong immigration records from your history, and it may be helping the next person. I have seen cases where lawyers wish for the case to get to court stage cos if there are new cases of a similar rejection in future, ircc will settle faster. more cases getting to court mean more case examples to reference. fortunately, many cases never make it to court if you use a good lawyer. most of these lawyers are also used to ircc lawyers and they most often settle before it goes far. while some have to wait a little longer. some are just a way to frustrate the applicant or delay the process to see if indeed the money you claim is yours will still be there or you have returned it. If you feel as though they made a mistake, by all means challenge the decision. the truth is, as nigerians, we glorify suffering and ill-treatment, to the extent that we say, they locked someone up and the person is released, you say why were you walking at night. Such mentalities go on with us and it affects us, that's why we all have culture shock when we travel. I will tell you that JR may or may not be easy but if you believe your profile warrants a positive decision, with the guidance of your lawyer by all means do so. Not everyone will get PPR the same way, some will apply 5 times, others 1ce, others will have to do JR, others will dump it and go to UK. Lets stop this mentality, i went through JR and i can tell you its challenging, same with waiting for a deicison on your reapplication for 6-9 months, but what has been helpful is the group of people on the same journey with me helping me and i know it will end in praise. Stop saying things like, if i were you, i will use the money for JR to pay tuition, look, you can do all things right and still not get your PPR, lets stop glorifying stories when you havent walked a mile in their shoes. With my close to perfect application, 80 percent tuition paid, very able sponsor, trying to show that my sponsor can give me money and he deposited it in my account since November 2020, with all my explanation, still received lumpsum rejection. stop making people's pain a story or word of admonition, if you can afford JR, if you feel you were cheated, by all means pursue it! Thank you very much, but Before I can get a letter of acceptance do I have to pay the tuition fee or I can get the letterof acceptance only by the application fee I have previously paid for. SwayB: |

Emilo: Hello Emilo, My opinion though: 1) I want to sponsor my wife for 2 years PGD at Norquest, Alberta. She has been giving full admission and we have paid for tuition deposit. She has a long gap in education and no work experience. We agreed to have kids and later she will continue with education which is now. She has OND in Accounting and the course at Norquest is Business Administration with majors in Accounting. What's our chances at PPR? Is the course at Norquest a PGD or Oridanry diploma? With just OND, if she goes for another OND or Diploma, it will not be seen as an academic progression because with the long gap in studies and no tangible work done, you're going to hinge on academic progression. So, I would say let her go for an advanced Diploma or PGD if that is possible to secure with an OND. But not that nothing is impossible with God. many have chosen courses below their previous course and still got PPR Again, age and study gap isn't an issue so long it can be justified that she wasn't just idle doing nothing throughout that long gap. Please never state in your SOP that you guys agree to have kids that's why the long gap. LOL As per chances, once you put in good application, provide solid proof to back up whatever thing you mentioned, then the rest is in Gods hand. 2) My younger brother in the US wants to support us with 10 million to add to what we have. I see from here that we need a gift deed to prove the fund source. How do we go about with that? Please gift deed isn't a document to use prove source of fund. To prove source of fund, if he is employed, he needs to show employment letter, payslips, ID. Also needs to attached saary account to back up the payslip. If is into business, Certificate of registration, Tax clearance certificate, waybills and reciepts of buying and selling etc All the best 1 Like |

Hello bola The sponsor simply showed total committment to the study and living expenses of the applicant, all through the applicant's stay in Canada.. The sponsor paid full school fees, transferred the full living expenses to the account of the applicant and some extra funds.. The sponsor drafted a Letter of sponsorship to explain all this with evidence and also an Affidavit of sponsorship... The sponsor had in the past sponsored the said applicant, so I advised the applicant what the sponsor needed to do and she listedned and got her Visa at the end of the day.. Mind you, they didnt do any of this in the previous refused application, they thought cos they had 50Million naira, the Visa officer should know there is plenty of money... Which is a very wrong assumption... So to the Millionaires in the house, do not assume that the Visa Officer seeing millions in your account will automatically give you Visa cos you have money.. You must do a break down of the availability of the funds for your study and also total commitment to your studies all through your stay in Canada.. Like I always say, Its one thing to have Billions in your account, its another thing to show and convince the Visa Officer that the said Billions will be available and totally committed to your studies... This is Canada study Visa Application and not UK study application.. Peace bola01234: 2 Likes |

Ketima: Thank you so much @ketima. Pardon me for the error. We actually got admission for Diploma Certificate not PGD. And we used waec for it. Do you think I should maintain with waec for the application to the visa office? And be quite about the OND? To demonstrate progression from WAEC to Diploma certificate. |

hayoBams: Yes, the letter of acceptance or Admission letter is required. You are expected to make that payment otherwise your admission will be revoked even if you have been issued an admission. IRCC will definitely contact your school to inquire about your admission status. Paying a deposit, half or full does not guarantee a visa approval 1 Like |

Emilo: 1) One of the many requirements to meet if you are to be granted a visa approval is proof of work experience in the intended course. She is also expected to include proof of current employment status like employment letter etc. Therefore she has to have these otherwise she will be denied based on purpose of visit- Emoployment history/situation. This only increase your chance but nobody here can guarantee you success 2) Google can give you clues on how to draft but ensure he includes the amount, date it was sent(as it reflex on her bank statement) and why he is sponsoring her with such amount. Have it stamped at a court as well. |

hayoBams: Depending on the college or university you applied to, you can get an unconditional letter of acceptance by paying only the application fee. In such case you would be instructed in the LOA to pay a minimum deposit to retain your seat for the program within a set period of time or else the offer of admission would become invalid . 1 Like |
