So if they use "full battalion of NDLEA to pick up less than 250mg of tramadol", how many battalions will they use for someone in possession of 1kg and above and also for arresting d dealers?
They'll use the whole military

It is people like Basketmouth that's why the country cannot move forward.

So NDLEA should not arrest drug dealers. So EFCC must not arrest yahoo boys. What is wrong with the brain of the average Nigerian?

The social media space needs to be regulated.

Can anything good come out of the brain of a comedian?

Drug dealers are criminals. Drug users are victims.

Based on the quantity of drugs found in the guy's house, is he a dealer or user?

I totally agree! The little thing that can't even high someone is what they are celebrating as if they arrested Escobar.

Na so they arrested and extorted someone with some quantity of stuff that he was traveling, with claiming that it is heroine

If you commit a crime, you will get arrested.
Do not commit a crime stay.

You've been on Nairaland since 2014 with 32k comments and there's no evidence of business-related posts from the few comments I checked. Do you have a day job or you're just an online troll and questionnaire?

Finally you did not make any sense. You could if you patiently read the article again. Inky then you will find out the reason why he said his arrest was a waste of money.

So for your mind?

Four tablets of Tramadol is enough to be qualified as a drug dealer?

Even Asian countries that drug trafficking is a capital offense..

Have some criteria you have to meet before you are prosecuted..

This ones will even arrest you for owning a bottle of Coflin..

I'll advice all well respected Celebs to stay clear this case if they must maintain their standard.....baring in mind people are looking up to them as role models

I was disappointed at Marcaroni's tweet to start with

The best they can do for him right now is getting him a good lawyer.

He was caught and needs to face the consequences.....the blame should go to his so called friends

No be for every matter you d form activist

While you are quick to take side, you need to also know that we are in Nigeria where anything can happen when you challenge anybody in power no matter how small the power might be.

Just saying. I will rather not take sides but just be neutral in this situation. He could be into drugs or could be framed for challenging them.

People will be coming here to be opening mouth. It actually IS a waste of money.

Tramadol is nothing but a pain killer.
And in more civilized countries these days, Cannabis is now considered a medically prescribed option to pain relief and nerve treatment.

Maybe the young man is in pain? These are small controlled quantities. I would not call him a "dealer" like some clueless people have labeled him.

I don't smoke weed and I hate the way it smells, but I have always held that it is a daft thing to illegalize a plant. You might as well illegalize sand. They all grow out of the ground. The ONLY reason it is illegal is because Nigeria was copying the white man in more racist times; who saw it as a means of escape by other races and did not like that at all (they had their own means of escape that they kept legal). They have since relented on that in more modern times.

Drug users and dealers are different! The agency is founded to go after DEALERS! Users are just minute traces of the original drug.

Common sense is when you burst DEALERS, there won’t be users. Think outside the box man

Wrong, they go after both.

Without demand there can't be supply.

Without supply there will be no demand.

Which is why the users should be arrested (compulsory rehab) and the sellers also should be arrested (jail). Because if they stop selling cocaine, cocaine addicts will start taking meth. An addict will always find a drug to take. It's better to arrest both of them.
