Maturedhustler: Futher advice..... What are there interest? What are they planning to study in university? It's not a must to go to university depending on what there interest is... Unless they want to be doctors/nurses/etc lawyer/engineers etc? University is not really necessary. They can do apprenticeship, they can look for a job in the field and climb the ladder, they can do short courses etc. I know it's difficult pill to swallow but school is really not the only to progress in life 3 Likes |

HopeLoveLife: Bingo!! Here we go, this is what happens when you cheat yourself thinking that you are smart by using untouchable loan to get a visa I will keep saying it and i couldn't give a rat backside what some of you think about me. Don't come to the UK if you are not financially prepared, at least for the first 3months, by then you are familiar with few things and get a job to survive. Ask those encouraging you to go ahead with this perilous journey to accommodation for one night, just a night. 10 Likes 1 Share |

HopeLoveLife: We Africans will deliberately not do the right thing to prepare and we will put everything on God's grace. For God to carry you you have to stand up. You can't pray for to get a job you haven't applied for. 3 months rents is the minimum money you need to enter this country if you plan to freestyle your way through life. Good luck sha, we await your testimony 3 Likes 1 Share |

Newbie123: A bit of tip....Look for school with lesser school fees, affordable city and go for Jan admission. Jan starts have longer visa duration and holiday, so you will have 2 summer holidays while Sept starts have one and shorter visa duration. Look for schools with such time table...it will be outlined on their websites 6 Likes 1 Share |

@Maturedhustler, Your 15/16 do not need to go back to Nigeria to attend Uni. In Scotland, they can work and get paid at 16 I think. I read that they will be studying to work in the Health Sector, They can start as NHS support worker after their Secondary education in Scotland and if they are hard working they may be able to to secure sponsorship to enter university and study their dream course from the NHS. Please nor think of sending them back to Nigeria for any reason biko. May God guide you in your decisions. Blessings. 2 Likes |

I believe under the new points based system for Skilled Workers, it is now possible for a Tier 4 General Student or Student to apply to switch into Skilled Worker visa from inside the UK even without completing a degree course. The restriction for student switching before completion has been removed. Personally, I will advise you complete your degree if you can. However, If you can't pay your tuition, then it might be better to switch. This care job is not easy o and not much money in it when you are being sponsored. Imagine working hours for a month to be given just about £1500. LagosismyHome: 2 Likes |

See how calm and explanatory this is. I believe that’s the reason for a place like this. Tho we’ve got different phase with life. perhaps, we tend to have different manners of approach. YouDoWell jòr umarwy: 1 Like |

On this Thread, I think some people are afraid to say the truth because they feel some gurus or oldies might not respond to their questions when they need help. We need to learn how to address people, if we feel we might not be able to reply to people’s questions due to personal reason then we don’t need to comment. We are here to help one another not to discourage. There are better and matured ways to address issue without making others feel bad. In as much as we want to hit the Nail on the head we need to be cautious. Please kindly help if you can, you never can tell who the next victim is. @ Mimi lyrics I must commend you for dropping those job postings, God bless you,God bless us all. NB: my write up no mean say make u no answer help Me when I need your help o me I just yarn how I feel. I am still a learner ooo 4 Likes |

justwise:You are just a proud egoistic dude, honestly and it is boldly written all over you! Do you know my financial status? because many people worked their pof you assumed I did same too right ? Because I requested for loan you concluded I used an untouched loan? Please Abeg Abeg Abeg! You can keep your egoistic advice to yourself! Learn to talk to people right and there are better ways to pass a message without feeling like you are more than what you are! People are struggling and going through a lot, and you feel passing a message that way was the best? You think people are not aware of the struggles of leaving for a particular country without money and accommodation ? Check out how other people responded and learn from them. 8 Likes |

canadaishome:Thank you. I don’t think I can try such, I was scammed of a huge money last time concerning accommodation, I can’t go through that mental stress again and this is the reason I want to be there first to see and pay also, I think it is better to pay 6 months upfront or even one year to to avoid stress of thinking about rent fee and having to work too much as I can’t do that due to my current condition and these are the things I’m trying to sort out. 1 Like |
