HopeLoveLife: Irritated, that’s fine. Just ignore. Life no hard. If you ask me, I like people that are blunt because it’s always hard to forget what they tell you because of the small anger inside you when it was said. It is well. Just take your time, God go show you the light. 5 Likes |

justwise: You are not wrong with this. However, what Nigeria has turned to in the last 2 to 3 years is best left unsaid. Only those of us that came into the UK in last 1 or 2 years can relate. It is now at a point where you said N5k or N10k gift to someone for and you are told to your face you have no shame (na before dem go talk am for your back. Lol). So everyone is just looking for a way out as long as they get something doing and making a meaning out of their lives. You can't blame them. I won't support getting it legally tho (whether using a blocked loan amount to apply for visa is legal or not is another topic) My wife was without job for 3 years in Naija after countless applications and she joined me as a dependant and got 2 during her 14 day quarantine. So the advice of people getting money for 3 months to settle in May not go down well with some people have trying so hard to get tuition and paying visa fees despite the challenges. I just like that you have called out the fact that people need finances to settle in for the first few months especially in cases where they don't have people here to support them. So you have done your bit. This is a forum, once a person seeks other people's opinion about something, he should not be biased in the way he takes peoples responses. It is usually good to have a balanced view. In the end, taking the decision lies with him. Attacking a particular person makes it look like you have put someone in mind waiting to explode. 11 Likes |

Aprokodaughter: In Lasisi’s voice: me am not there oooo, I am just a passer by. Make we all no lie say we no know say if you de Naija your savings de go down daily. I no know why but na so e b, and if you no comot on time the money go disappear. We no go lie again say if you go abroad without complete arrangement say e go hard pass Naija. Someone came last year with family and was in Airbnb looking for house for months. No matter the money wey that person carry come, him can never de comfortable. The money no be same. And I think the feeling no be same. I stayed in Airbnb for 1month, beginning of second month, I no see house rent, I just called the owner of the Airbnb house and we signed agreement for short term let for 6months. I can’t be stressing myself plus class and family. The owner was very fair and his price was okay compared to what I had I see online, plus it was a complete apartment (well furnished). Somethings you go just take am as joke and laff. Even if it hurts you. Na life. 5 Likes 1 Share |

LagosismyHome: I did too. Only that my uni then required me to get a letter from my employer stating they are happy for me to remain a full time student on a tier 2 visa and my employer willingly did that. In fact, the HR asked me to write what I wanted to be sent to my school, I drafted the mail and sent, they just sent forwarded it exactly how I drafted it, only that they used a letter headed paper. 3 Likes 1 Share |

If you are then, let me know and we will arrange it. The prime minister’s seat will be vacant next month. We can get you there. Don’t worry about campaign money, we go collect small from Tinubu bullion van. 3 Likes |

Telling me what you have no knowledge of! How do you even relate with people around you? Some people might be too feeble to tell you the truth but you are a sadist!!!!! 5 Likes 1 Share |

dubaiprince: No doubt things are hard in Nigeria, i just came back from Nigeria but this is what i don't get.....if you have 7M naira or more ready to pay for foreign education and you failed to plan how to make the most of your money here then you are not smart . If somebody is angry because i said that people should come with at least 3months worth of cash to survive here then i couldn't careless. 9 Likes |

HopeLoveLife: Took some time and patience but I finally got mine. You're a student so should be look for house shares. Look on spare room and Zoopla and just keep messaging. Cast a wide net. Like others said getting a free accommodation won't work. I'm going with a very tight budget myself but I know how i'll survive first 2 months just plan better, take a breath and be strategic. 2 Likes 1 Share |

HopeLoveLife: A lot of our people don't like hearing the truth ( when truth is told the next thing is sadist, hater, you are jealous) , later when the hardship hit or they fall out of status they then wish someone has advised them properly before they came . Justwise means no harm, he saying it as it it. Which is, without sufficient money it is very difficult in the UK. My advice is relax and plan accordingly 15 Likes |

gratefulme40: This is why its good to ask question and get detailed answers...from your screenshot it shows that you were at the last stage of your masters program and they wanted you to complete your study before starting the job. So its not the same as someone who just landed and decided to switch to work visa 2 Likes |
