If we are close to being super clinical today, I see the entire frontline bagging at least one goal/assist direct involvement. Each of them.

From Simon to Nacho to Awo to Chukwueze.

It's been a while we saw Aribo score for us. I think he might bag today too. His tendency to attack the box could open up a few chances for him to hit his trademark curlers or strikes from the top of, outside or inside the box.

Let's just enjoy the game.

Na we dey here. cool

What did I say? grin grin

So far so good, it's just Iheanacho left.

Moses Simon - Assist
Samuel Chukwueze - Goal
Taiwo Awoniyi - Goal

We could have had more. Our passing has in the middle has been unimpressive but I like that we kept pushing and using the wings.

The CBs' long ball to the Wingers still remains this team's best way of getting forward.

And Aribo... he had a beautiful lofted pass to Zaidu on 10mins or so that led to a cross-chance.

And later on, he worked out a beautiful move through the middle to the left of the box which found Awoniyi but I feel he should have been aware of Iheanacho's presence to tap in that Awo cut back. In all, Aribo has been good.

In the middle game though, I am not too impressed. I mean this is Sudan and we cannot just string smooth passes consistently? Come on, we can be better.

Although I understood that our intensity today won't be as high as seen against Egypt. We seem to be kinda taking it easy coz Sudan is less fancied and don't boast Decent enough quality to trouble us.

In all, a good half. And Lucky Goal for Awo but any striker will take that. He was well positioned. wink Ekong also did well for the goal. And Fine delivery by Nacho.

In this second half, we bury them under the more. grin

Showing exactly as I said. Not as aggressive as Osimhen, but he plays more for the team than Osimhen does. We are set for striking options in coming years.

I love Awoniyi abeg

Awoniyi is a silent danger man. He should get more time. He could score more.
If he keeps scoring, then we have competition for no9 in SE. No more guaranteed shirt

Actually you are not wrong apart from your Aribo slander, Iheanacho should make way for Nwakali

Pay attention to the passes in the midfield, my G: Aribo has lost some vital possession. I watch these matches like I have no emotions....lol

We miss Osimhen. His directness and ruggedness would keep opposing defenders really busy. The tactics of trying to close down our winger will fail woefully should Osimhen be here.

stevemarkdangot:

I never said osimehn isn't good but from my perspective on how they play, I like his play as a forward.

Yes , natural Awoniyi is more skillful than Osimhen...these are guys we have followed and monitored for 7yrs. Chill
Exactly why he’s playing in some club in some club in Germany while his peer is a sensation in the Italian top flight and in Europe, regarded as one of the hottest young players.

Beyond how good the team has been, I would particularly like to commend the team's discipline.

The way they have avoided racking up cards or even giving away corners and free kicks has given me a lot of joy.

Osimhen brings a huge bag of more options. However, let’s focus on those that are here. Sadiq as well to come good I expect

Why do you want Aribo out and want control in midfield, ofcourse he has lost a couple of possession but he has generally played well

Fluke goal? Does it not count?

You complained that he can't score, he did that just now but still, you are not satisfied. How about his clean pass to Aribo to create a big chance?

What else do you want? embarassed
As if, if he was not in position hunting for a goal the ball would have hit his head and into the net. Yeye talk

Chuks should calm down and play more intelligently combining with his teammates. No need for needless dribbles. We need a direct winger in Ejuke, but the latter needs to play with the team. Trust me the necessary subs will change the dynamics. Iwobi should come in earlier
I have always been worried about Chuks decision making
