I am surprised to read people having a go at Kelechi Nwakali. I had a totally different impression watching him. To me, he sold himself very well and made a statement.

He showed movement to open for passes. Gave the midfield an identity. That is, his presence took us from chaotic to controlled. He made the midfield tick with ideal short passes. He also showed some nice touches too and passing technique. For the time he had, I was impressed.

Dis is just aftermath of watching sadiq...had it been sadiq wasnt in d 28 man list..I am very sure almost everybody here including u and me would av cried blue murder..this is just to tell us dt we can't jettison experience for a green horn simply on club form. club form sometimes doesn't translate into national team performance. So with d two matches so far we have just three good strikers in person of osimhen,awoniyi and odas

Aribo was possibly the only reason we broke through the middle when he drove forward to the box and beat a man with a fine piece of skill to help set up a chance.
But deeper in midfield we struggled to keep control and that is why the CBs remained our best bet for getting the ball upfield in that first half to the Wingers.


Nwakali and Iwobi came in and they were the ones getting the ball upfield through tidy build up plays.
