In retrospect we played a good game. We hustle for the ball once we lose it

Relax. I think Onyeka might even start the next game. Ndidi could be rested. Who knows?

I would love to see Onyeka start. Nwakali start and then maybe Iwobi play as #10. Rest Aribo and Ndidi if possible or play one of them with other Sub-candidates.

But what if they play the same XI again? grin

Well, it's up to the coach.

Sadiq and onuachu same whatsapp group

Yes they are quite similar when it comes to style of play but you see that pass that Sadiq failed to control? Onuachu had a similar pass from Onyekuru against Lesotho and he ended up firing it into the back of the net(with the outside of his boot). Wicked shot.

Onuachu is an excellent finisher.

Yes, we pressed. I am not concerned about our pressing game. We are pressing monsters in this tournament and I feel even Algeria would feel us if we jam.

I speak of our passing in the middle game. I am still watching and I am sure you have seen how our CBs have been the ones dictating our switch of plays from the back.
How Aribo was dangerous going forward and how a bit uncoordinated we were in the middle in terms of our passing sequences.

You are talking too much and saying nothing of note Egbon. That's why I said e do abeg. You are making a funny case for a Midfield that couldn't string more than five passes together consistently in the first half. Abeg just leave it. You don't understand.
Rewatching it, one sees they had they regained their flow after the initial gra gra of Sudan took them off rythm

He even passed backwards a couple times.

He even had more passes in our defensive half (29) compared to the number he had in the offensive half (14).
Only thing was on about two occasions or so in the first half, 2 or 3 of those 14 passes he had in the opposition half were close to the box and caused real danger for the opposition.

Aribo is a player that loves to combine in 1-2 fashion in most phases of plays. That is his style.

He and Ndidi didn't exactly apply patient enough build up through the middle unlike what we saw with Nwakali alongside Ndidi.

I pray a day doesn't come where we really prefer and hail Akpeyi over Maduka. No confidence inspired. No apologies. I didn't like how we made the attack of Sudan look like prime Liverpool.

Aribo na class abeg!!

If any team stifles out Simon Moses, im afraid, we may be back to Rohr days o.

Onyeka needs his minutes!!

Eguavoen should allow Iwobi play more. It seems he's having doubts about who to give more minutes between Iwobi and Nwakali.

Well I dare say you are correct grin with a little modification though which is they probably do not need his skill set. Not every team will need an Nwakali kind of player, he is the type of player that can only thrive in specific tactical setups. It is who they are, it's not their fault if you do not need them and decide to move them on.

Arsenal is not like that to just give up easily on a teenage prospect o. So the point still stands.

He needs step up anyway. Time no dey. Else he won't be in next year's Afcon. Simple. we

These Nwakali slanders aren't justifiable at all.. The guy had a good game.. Obviously he was brought in to stabilize the midfield, which he did perfectly well.. It's funny that some people are attacking him for making back passes when in reality, most of our players today made a lot of back passes too..

No he did not giving the ball away under no pressure on several occasions and unable to fight to get it back.

He was negative and simply not good enough. You don't bring someone in to just pass it on.

Really need to see Onyeka can't understand why he has not played really baffling. The long ball is the preference for player's who lack technical ability and the stamina to go box to box continuously. And take the option to go long most times.

I can assure you that Brentford is hard working team and passengers are not allowed.

The funny thing is if we now see what Onyeka plays and its better, that's another minus to his relevance, cos this is a competition of shirts and spots and the best once they've proven themselves, will outshadow the rest. Its national team football so the time is lesser, compared to club football where injury can make a benchito get time to even outshadow the main star if so wish. He's not the first and he's not going to be the last, that's why he need improve asap. Best of luck to him.

Thank God Sadiq saw 30 minutes of game time today and 15 minutes in the last game

It is not the usual 10 minutes cameo. He did not get a cameo and we have seen more than enough

Iwobi that came on for less than 10 minutes against Egypt, we saw what he did in those 10 minutes.

A player who is good does not need to start a game or play for 45 minutes before they show their mettle.

Even Awoniyi's first game, despite not scoring, we saw what he brought.

Please, let us not even try to use game time to make excuses for some players, because there is no truth to it in this scenario.

Agreed without resort to question.
