Good day everyone, please i have an urgent question.
I have a BSc and a masters degree but i would want to use only my Bsc to create my express entry profile. Would it come off as misinterpretation? Thank you for your usual cooperation.

Pls note that i have evaluated both degrees.

Please those who have submitted through Abuja VFS, what’s the timeline from submission to collection?

Hello,
Please did IRCC send you a request for re-medical or you did it yourself?

Wow I've been waiting so long to hear this. Really happy for you guys in advance lol. I really admire your patience and positivity throughout this process. Cant wait to read PPR gist.

Hi,
Please My AOR is 20th March 2020 and my medical has since expired. Is it advisable to go for re-medical when IRCC has not requested for it or wait for the request?

Tough question.....it would have been easier if you did not have an ECA at all for your MSc. In that scenario, post ITA you indicate all your degrees in personal history including your MSc. Under education you update the ECA for your BSc only......BUT in your case.....it may seem like misrepresentation if you actually evaluated your MSc, especially if they are in the same report. I may be wrong o...this is just a personal view.

If you are trying to reduce your CRS, I think removing spouse (if married) ECA totally, achieves the same effect. Or try seeing what happens to the CRS if you indicate French as first language if you have TEF.

Thank you so much for your reply. What if i use a different evaluation body, would that help?
Removing spouse ECA and ielts didnt reduce crs to desired score. Using TEF as first language reduces it way too much. Thats the challenge.

How many points do you need to lose to get within your desired range?

You can redo ECA for BSc alone with a different body but might be easier to try other combinations that cost less and take a shorter time e.g. redoing your own IELTS
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Nkydechik: 11:09pm On Jan 14, 2022
I need to loose between 33-41 points. To be honest I'm tired of writing exams. Moreover what's the guarantee that I'll get the desired score once.

Redo your IELTS or

Remove spouse IELTS & reduce WE from 3years to 1to2 years if your have one NOC for this tenure that is separate from the others.

All activities you are not claiming points for e.g. other jobs, degrees etc still need to be recorded in personal history post ITA.

Does anyone know the fastest cert evaluation service now? How long does WES take to evaluate Nigerian degrees? I'll appreciate any recent timeline. Thank you.

Congrats to everyone who has gotten their PPR and COPR. Please note the following.

Driving is not a luxury in Canada, it is a double necessity. So before you leave Naija, get your International Drivers license, it will help for your first 3 months or till you are able to get your drivers licence here.

Also get the drivers test handbook, begin to study it just like you did for IELT (I have attached a copy here for you). All those our driving in naija no be am. There are apps in your app store to also help you.

When you arrive / land Canada, you should write the test and once you are successful (score 25 out of 30). You will be eligible for a learners license or permit. With this permit you will be able to drive (with a full license holder seated beside you while driving). Also you will be able to exchange your Nigerian driver license (make sure it is not fake) and be giving the privilege of applying for a full licence. In Alberta it is called class 5 Advance and Ontario it is called G.

Passing the road test is not often Child’s play. But you can pass both knowledge test and road test once. (To God be praised, I did).

For those in Alberta and around Calgary, I will be willing to help you pass the road test, you can get in touch.

For others I wish you the best

So hope this is helpful

God bless you.

you do not need international drivers licence to drive. The Normal Nigerian license can be used 60 to 90 days depending on the province. Also its not a necessity for everyone as some people will be working from home or stay in provinces with good weather like bc or Ontario. For Alberta i agree with you.

Good post and nice initiative to help others with the road test. However, I have to say that driving is not a necessity. I don't know why nearly every Nigerian keeps saying this once they are in Canada. There are numerous Canadians who don't even have a bicycle, let alone a car. For those with bicycles, it works just as well in summer times. And if you are living very close to work (which is very possible), the subway may be all you need in some cities like Edmonton or Toronto. I know people who have lived for years in Canada and have never had a car. These days, people have been working from home, making having a car totally unnecessary.

Hello Everyone,

Please, has anyone recently sent their passports to Lagos vfs after PPR?

Kindly share the process please.

Thank you.

Gather all documents required by IRCC and your VFS:

1. International Passport(s)

2. 2 Passport Photographs (see further instructions below in addendum 1)

3. Passport Request Letter (aka ready for visa mail)

4. Duly filled Height and Eye Colour Chart. (A single form containing details for every member of the family)

5. IMM008 for those with a change in family composition (by a birth, death, marriage or divorce, etc)

6. 1 CVAC form. With only page 2 filled in by PA. Do not fill pages 3 & 4. Also advisable to fill in Caps. Ink color doesn't matter.

Put all documents in an envelope and proceed to DHL or any courier of your choice and pay for a one-way delivery to the VFS centre where you reside: Abuja or Lagos. Since I reside in Abuja, I sent mine to Abuja via UPS. You do not have to pay any fee if your submission centre also served as where you did your biometrics. That is: if you are submitting to Abuja and you did your biometrics in Lagos, you'd have to pay the transmission fee.

VFS sends to Accra, who will then submit to the high commission.

Addendum 1.
-2 recent passport photos per person.
-Not older than 6 months
-In Canadian PR dimension (refer to photo chart)
-1 detailed copy with the name and DOB of the person at the back. Below that, write or stamp the Name
& address of photo studio with date photo was taken.
-A second copy for each person is left plain

Other Things to note:

1. Wait for the VFS tracking details— they will give you update on when it will be sent to IRCC and when it will be returned to you
2. Wait for the return of your passport— VFS also uses DHL or any other courier to return.

Thanks a lot for this.

The confusing part is the collection of passport (No 2 above). One-way delivery is to just drop off the passports at Lagos vfs right? So, at what point do we pay for the passports delivery back to me via courier?

Is there like an upfront payment for courier delivery back to the sender before sending the passport to them OR Lagos vfs communicates this on a later date after initial passport submissions.

Really need more clarification on this part please.
