What are you saying? Passing back is to keep possession. The pressure we suffered, mostly before Nwakali came in came from unnecessary forward passes. That was due to poor midfield dictation.

Those sideways, backwards, and some forward passes is to keep us off pressure and improve our ball retention.

Ekong gave long balls that were directionless. Which meant, giving away possession. Which means handing over control.

Ha.
The poor midfield dictating yielded three goals, yielded more attempts on goal than when the specialist was on the pitch.

Another vague comment, Nwakali showed ability. Even Sadiq showed ability falling all over the pitch, you might as well term it distracting Sudanese players or buying time for the team, go and sleep.

Saying go and sleep is not a point. It is a sign of frustration. In the end, you can not blame me for you not understanding a basic point.

Eguavoen likes a player that CAN DICTATE play from deep with long balls.

That is not Eguavoen wants the player to always keep throwing long balls, even if the situation does not demand it.

OKAY?

Finito.

Scoring does not mean we were in control of the midfield. We scored based on our superiority in play but most times, in that window, we were under intense pressure. A clinical side would have caused us problems. That is a fact and I believe the coaching crew will work on it.

Like I said earlier, you can't pin point a single productive thing he did during the game in the 25 minutes he played, the only one you remembered was a long ball to a LB and that says it all.

"Scoring does not mean we were in control of the midfield"- Good Joe 2022. At what point in the game were Sudan in control of the midfield before we scored?

Giving away possession repeatedly is not being in control of the midfield. We did that a lot.

Don't worry. I will do a write-up later in the day. This explains why people are having a go at Nwakali. They do not understand the effectiveness of what he was doing. Later.

You'll make a claim and once tasked to back it up you either start preaching or making generic statements. Someone had earlier pointed out that we had more possession before the messiah arrived but I'm sure you'll add preaching about movements or adding philosophy to talk your way out of it.

I will do a write-up later. Ranting will not help you now. Nwakali hardly lost possession in midfield.

Yet Aribo has been more productive than him, making key passes and being influential both offensively and defensively more than him. Like I said earlier go and sleep you have no idea what you are talking about

Aribo plays a different style now? You do not expect them to have the same influence on games.

You want Nwakali to come and play box to box like Aribo.

Aribo plays box to box (specific) but if they ask you what Nwakali plays you'll start preaching and running round a circle, go and sleep you don't know what you'll talking about

Midfield dictation. That is how Nwakali plays. He plays for midfield control. Built for the possessive kind of game.

Hahaha hahaha hahaha Kai the pressure of watching a match surely distorts our sense of time. Rewatching the match I saw that Sadiq was introduced in the 80th minute just like in the first match. Iwobi came in immediately the second half started. Moses scored the 3rd goal in the 46 minutes. See how far off the mark your awareness of time and subs were? So many times our eyes are not primed to see things as they due to pressure

As for Sadiq he didn't play badly oo if only he stands more on his feet

Honestly, Sadiq didn't play badly for me
His knack for falling could be useful in getting Pks as we go deeper
I saw her earlier post about him being given 30 mins
I just passed
No need to argue wetin I see with my own eyes

All these Nwakali and Sadiq slenders should go and rest just few minutes to their cap, people are justifying their hatred towards these players. None of them saw that wonderful player and pass to Iwobi by Nwakali, all they want to see is something to justify their hatred.

Nigeria is playing against the 3rd placed team in any of Group B/E/F in the round of 16
i.e Either Malawi/Sierra Leone/Mauritania

It looks like we will have a relatively easy route to the finals. Bar Senegal in the quarters or semis, but apart from that it looks easy:

Gambia / Sierra Leone (1/8 final), Burkina Faso / Guinea / Senegal (1/4 final) and Senegal / Algeria / Mali (semis).

Senegal - Nigeria might be a game worthy of the final.

I am skeptical and unable to explain how an anonymous mouse in the Segunda was getting to play before Iwobi and Onyeka who has been a consistent performer for Brentford in the EPL . Has not had one minute.

There is simply no rational to these actions. I know that there is all kinds of politics that goes on in the NFF. But this is becoming too obviously implausible and defying logic.

When you come to the closing stages of a game you need a box to box Midfielder to put in a shift. This is something that Onyeka has done.

It should have been apparent to the coaching crew that Sadiq has nothing to offer. Then what about Olayinka and Onyekuru ❓

I check substitute yesterday in livescore, olayinka was not there...what happened to him

Okoye inexperienced to be our first choice goal keeper.
Aina's foul on that player was clumsy.
Awoniyi missed his opportunity of getting his first hat trick in GWG by missing 4 chances. I love the way he bullies opponents defenders
Great team display.
Chukwueze,Simon,Aribo, Zaidu, Ekong and Omeruo ran the show.
Aribo's fluidity was orgasmic.
Oga Zuchy,Awoniyi missed 4 chances?clear chances or what....the only chance he missed was a pass given to him by Iwobi which was even in a tight corner and difficult than open chance Ighalo missed against Argentina.

Oga Zuchy,Taiwo Awoniyi is the 4th rated CF behind Osimehn,Ighalo and Onuachu but post Afcon things will change.
