nairavsdollars: You need to do away with this kind of mentality. What happens to sensitisation and creation of awarenes? Nigerians are wasting their hard earned money through different needless ways. Ponzi scheme operators too didn't force anyone to participate but we still need to do our part by creating awareness. The same thing goes for betting and gambling. 2 Likes |

Sarmiz24: Some of you claim to be educated but can't prove your education. What's all the ranting and talking down on waec for. That waec is nonsense? Nigerians always talking down on their own to feel fly and posh. Let it be known to you that many high school students of those countries will fail waec if they take the exam. 2 Likes |

Re: IELTS: UK Money-Spinning Venture Rips Off Nigerian Visa Applicants by Isobug: 7:16am On Jan 16, 2022 |
Sarmiz24:Yes, they accept WAEC. But the guy has no idea about IELTS, You must take and pass it whether you have WAEC or not, except if you are not seeking admission in UK, US and Australia schools. You must demonstrate to them that you can speak and write in English by passing all four parts |

Lexusgs430: People don't migrate for economic reasons alone. There are UK citizens studying and working in US/Australia etc so in this particular topic, it's not entirely about the economy. 1 Like |

eskimoeze: Lol! A lot of Nigerians speak English fluently? With all our horrible Nigerianisms like "paying installmentally" or "do something for me"? There is no word like "installmentally"! But 99% of Nigerians will "pay installmentally" and believe they are 100% correct. By the way, its "pay in installments" 1 Like |

nairavsdollars: It’s unfortunate that only in Nigeria such can happen. How do you justify that passing exam for English proficiency expires? Does it mean that if you can speak and write English, in two years time, you won’t able to do so? It expires and you can’t speak or right again. Such acts will never happen in their country. What do you mean by force? Do you understand what a prerequisite means? Like do anyone force to eat food or drink water? You’re too myopic! |
Re: IELTS: UK Money-Spinning Venture Rips Off Nigerian Visa Applicants by Sheggy13(m): 7:59am On Jan 16, 2022 |
Nozino:The guy is partially right. We Nigerians are treated poorly out there because even our leaders don't value us and treat us badly. How can you explain a body like National Universities Commission (NUC) making Communication in English a compulsory GST/GNS course in the University when we had been taught in English as the language of instruction all our ife and had to get a credit pass in English in SSCE and take English exam compulsorily as one of the four UTME subjects before being given admission into the same University? NUC is indirectly saying they don't trust our English language proficiency despite passing the English exams at both SSCE and UTME. Why then do you expect foreign bodies like IELTS and TOEFL to trust our proficiency? |
Re: IELTS: UK Money-Spinning Venture Rips Off Nigerian Visa Applicants by dims95(m): 8:04am On Jan 16, 2022 |
Sarmiz24: It's better to research first before making wrong claims. WAEC is accepted by a lot of foreign universities, UK universities included. They even accept a letter from your university or employer in some conditions. 2 Likes |
