[quote author=tzetzefly post=36727302] Her retirement letter is sufficient. Is France her first point of entry into the Schengen region? She will be issued visa according to the number of days she intends to spend in the territory or given a three months visa. The number of days she will reside depends on the immigration officer at the point of entry. Get the visa first.[/quote Pls can this be similar to a retired/discharge military personnel or I need other documents. |

davide470: Thank you for your response. Which documents do I need to submit? On the documents checklist, the stated documents for long stay visa ( work) are International Passport Passport photographs Work contract Work authorisation Copies of diploma I feel like there are other required documents that are not stated. Do I need these documents? 1. Police certificate 2. Travel insurance 3. Bank statement 4. Proof of accommodation etc Am I missing other documents ? I will appreciate your response. Thank you. |

EffuaF: You don't *need* them but you can attach if you'll feel comfortable doing that. Also, VFS staff would definitely tell you if they require any other document. |

Curious346: Nothing is 100% guarantee in life because the unforeseen can happen along the way. Just look at what is going on around the world now. Most business men / women with lucrative businesses are in debt as a result of the pandemic. While praying for positive things to happen. It’s also normal to think negative too sometimes because anything can happen in this Buhari’s country. Note: I am not doubting your ability to turn 5 million to 20 million in couple of years. Just want to let you know that unexpected things do happen sometimes 1 Like |

This is an update regarding my long stay visa (Passeport Talent Researcher) application at the VFS centre in Lagos I applied on the 23rd December, 2021 and my VISA was issued on the 5th of January, 2022. Below are the documents I submitted: 1. International passport 2. Two copies of data page of my international passport (black and white). I saw so many people making coloured copies of the data page and I really don't know why. 3. Two copies of the online visa application form (blank and white). Try to avoid those agents beside the VFS building. They will mislead you just to make money. The guy convinced me to print the first and last page of the application form coloured (500 each). Upon entry, the lady that attended to make asked me to make a photocopy of the application form. I had an extra copy with me so I gave her the black and white copy. 4. The original copy of work contract agreement sent from France 5. My degree certificates; bachelors, MSc and PhD. 6. Covid-19 vaccination status 7. Axamansard travel insurance (Three months as advised here). I emailed VFS prior to buying the insurance policy as to the minimum duration required for the travel insurance. They responded that it is discretionary. I can buy any month I like. 8. Two coloured passport photo with a white background. I actually paid and took the picture at the VFS centre. I tried to avoid stories that passport does not meet the requirement. What I did not submit 1. Travel history. One of the agents beside the VFS building told me to make coloured copies of my travel history but I refused because of the cost implications. Although I had black and white copies, the lady returned it back to me. 2. Flight reservation. The consulate called me twice. I missed the first call on the 2nd of January and they called back on the 5th to ask when I was travelling. 3. Police report. 4. Letter of introduction. 5. Hotel reservation. 6. Bank statement My advise is to follow the instructions on the printed online application form for the documents required and try to avoid those agents beside the VFS building. I wish you all the best of luck in your visa applications. 6 Likes 1 Share |

abduloau: Congratulations. Why pple are making coloured photo copy is that Ireland visa, they demand all documents to be coloured. |

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by abduloau: 12:13pm On Jan 17, 2022 |
EffuaF: Axamansard: Schengen ₦16,256.70 (90 days). As I said before, I asked VFS about the minimum duration and the reply was that it is discretionary. I am to decide the duration I want. |
