i am new here. Please I will be glad if someone can guide me on how to add documents you left out after an application have been submitted and how long does it take for it to be updated on your profile. I am a December applicant and only update so far is the request for my biometrics which has been done and updated on my profile.

Thanks
please bro i need your assistance. I want to go for a postgraduate certificate course in Canada
emmalextemtop:

Hello!
After my PGCert, i intended to go for Msc in a different course but in a way traceable to the former PGCert, after few months not immediately since my visa won't have expired by then.(using 8 months out of 1yr)

Hope there is nothing towards my 3 yr PGWP after the Msc?
After the first program, will i extend study visa or apply for another visa?
And how is the visa processing towards another program in cad, is it fast and demanding like this fresh one we are doing?

Thanks!

Click on the link below to see the process you need to follow in extending your study permit.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/extend-study-permit.html

But how about, going for Msc after my 1 yr PGCert 3 to 4 months after.
How fast is the visa or easy it is?

Hi Amby147,

Leave the signature part.
If the Adobe is altered, the IMM1294e will not upload.

You don’t need to sign. You can just type your full name there, Optional sef.

Thanks dear I really appreciate your advice.

Please I like to know if it's necessary to print and sign the form then upload back for online application? Or just to leave the signature parts unsigned and upload without signature?

Please see screenshot below;

Thanks again

Good morning house, someone ask me a question though i have no answer to it but i believe this great room members will have answer to such question. The question is that the person has MBA in National Open University and is seeking PGD program in Canada, he want to know is chance of visa issuance, is there any academic progression in this?

Well, permit to say that you will have to reach out much more to the gurus here like lekiboboe, frank, micano, prolific and others for better understanding and necessary links (I don't have the links).

But then i will advise you put some things into consideration like the course you had in your first degree being aligned with your intended in a DESIGNATED INSTITUTION(Algonquin College Ontario, Fanshawe College, Conestoga College, Uni of Alberta, Uni of Manitoba, Uni. of Ottawa,...) in Canada or your intended program being aligned with your present employment experience.
Study gap
Tution fee
Total, available and sufficient finances on your study permit application and studies in Canada
Available season (winter, summer, fall) for your intended program
Your Sponsor
Also, why Graduate Certificate and not Masters Degree(is it cos of 2:2 or you had 2:1 but preferred PGCert)

You need to put all these into consideration before you start anything on study visa!
I hope i dropped my little knowledge, i look forward to others to add more.

Thank you!

Goodday my fellow nairaland family.
I want to ask that if my visa got denied and I want to defer my admission do I need to tell the school that I got denied as a reason for deferring my admission or just simply tell them that my application is taking longer time to process sir/ma.

You need to inform the school in writing that your visa was delayed by the Canadian immigration. In the email correspondence, you should attach a copy of the refusal letter to request for a deferral of your admission.

Please guys help me

When filling the imm1294e study permit app form what is the cost the cost of my studies?

My program is 2years, estimated cost of 1st year tuition is mentioned in the LOA is ($15,834). 2nd year is not mentioned.

How do I calculate cost of my studies? Room and board? Other? Funds available for my stay? Please advice me, do I calculate 2 year cost of tuition? Room and board? How do I answer funds available for my stay?

See form below

Please guys help!!!!

The tuition fees should be quoted for 1 year
Room and Board = 10,000CAD
Others = 3,000CAD

Funds Available For My Stay = The total of the first year tuition, room and board, and Others, plus already paid tuition deposit.

Try using an ACCESS BANK VISA CARD.

I guess that's the only card working for ACCESS BANK.

With an MBA degree seeking to pursue a PGD program in Canada doesn't demonstrate a logical progression. The applicant should apply for a Second master's different from the Intial master's.

Hello team.
Further to the quoted post, it happened that his medicals just expired. So it's important that medical reports are valid before one can travel. IRCC replied him earlier today.
Thank you all.

mikenkem:
Hello team. Thank you for the work you all do. A colleague's son was turned back at the airport today as he was about to board a flight via KLM to Canada. After going through the first check, he was stopped at the last check before boarding the plane. My colleague is really worried and had to reschedule the trip. Also sent a mail to IRCC. The officer at the last check said she saw something and advised that they contacted the embassy and that the embassy should have notified them. But then they checked the portal and didn't see any notice or issue. They are very concerned and worried. Has anyone else faced such and how was It resolved? My colleague would appreciate suggestions or advise. Thank you all

But how about, going for Msc after my 1 yr PGCert 3 to 4 months after.
How fast is the visa or easy it is?

You wont be needing a new visa since you won't be travelling out of canada . Usually after your program you can stay in canada up till 90days ( if you dont plan to apply for a pgwp) or the expiry date on your study permit whichever comes first . But in your case since you intend to start a new program and it takes about 4months before the new program starts I would advice you stay for the 90day but before the 90days expires you apply for your study permit extension. Which usually takes a about 58days to process then as soon as it is ready you can start your new program.
When applying for study permit extension in Canada you are usually not required by IRCC to show proof of funds. But just make sure you pay your school fees. And another advice to you is that you try to apply for your second program on time even before you finish the first semester of your first program.
N:B immediately after you finish your first program you need to stop working if you are doing any part time job. Only start working again when you get your new study permit
