The gulf in class between our players and other teams ehn, our players are real professionals. The way that guy celebrated yesterday, made me shame small.

Africa sha. See Sierra Leone looking like many places in Nigeria

Panya:

Life was frivolous lived by many migrants from the Igbo land who came to work in Espanol/Panya. Like ChrisKels rightly stated , many didn't return due to high life many were engrossed in. They women of panya supplied the prostitute whom the workers and even the white colonialist could not resist. Ukwu was supplied in abundance...lol

Of the numbers that made it back to Igbo land , most return with little fortune a weird sense of fashion or musical influence.
Did they discover this place before the Civil War?

Disagree a bit egbon. We can't avoid to play too many of our main guys and lose them to a fluke injury.

I expect Okoye, Ndidi, Ekong and Awoniyi to start. I would like to see Ejuke and Collins start on the left. They linked up well in that away WC tie against cape verde.

Iwobi and Nwakali will most probably start. Ebuehi too. Hopefully we get to see Onyeka, Onyekuru and Olayinka at some point in the match.

Simon, Senior man and Aribo should sit this one out. Need them fresh for round of 16.

My opinion about that Guinea-Bissau game is not to make too many changes to the starting lineup. It is very important that we maintain consistency and win that game against Guinea Bissau. We need to continue to build that momentum and maintain that winning spirit, also for more team cohesion.

I think Eguavoen should maintain that same backline and Ndidi- Aribo Midfield Combo. One of the starting wingers may start from the bench and We may give Sadiq a starting role for him to fully prove himself. For me, not more than 3 changes to the starting line up and it should be in the advanced positions.

I would rather put consideration on players who are already on yellow card so as not to receive another and get suspended for the second round game. But for being burnt out? Come on these are professionals bro. The AFCON is just a maximum of 6games.
well, you are kind of right on the card issue but the last time i checked we have just one player on a yellow which is Aribo.

I just think we should give other guys the chance to show what they are capable of doing, i am sure they will want to impress and give the coach every reason to start them ahead of the regulars..

That's what I thought too ...that means we've topped the group but may likely meet Algeria or Tunisia and if we are lucky, Malawi in the next round

The job has just begun
I jus checked the standings now, as it stands B/E/F is fully represented by the following teams respectively
Malawi/S-leone/Tunisia, with Tunisia leading the chart on top 3placed team....if Tunisia wins their last match they will move to second position leaving Malawi/S-leone as teams we may likely meet

The mild fielders i would love to see on wednesday.

Onyeka
Nwakali
Iwobi

These guys should get the job done against guinea bissau..

Attack should be henry on the right, ejuke on the left awoniyi leading the line…

Good lineup but Awoniyi can't play and start every game, same with Nacho. I say we give Sadiq the opportunity to start and prove that his performance so far is not representative of his qualities.

Because they beat a defending champion.

I still feel that 4:4 draw with Nigeria in Benin-City changed Sierra Leonean football. They suddenly started believing in themselves.

Imagine playing draws with Nigeria twice, drawing also with Algeria and CIV. They have played the strongest teams on the continent! So what else!?

But....I think Equatorial Guinea can beat them cos Sierra Leone will come all out to secure a win and not to play another draw and get exposed in the process.
There's nothing more dangerous than a team that has belief in itself. With belief they can override tactical set ups, overcome set backs and stun even the best of teams.
To come back 4-0 against Nigeria is no mean feat.

Hahaha....tell me you aren't scared Nwakali's performance will dwarf Aribo's if given full time and constantly.

You can play Aribo if you like but dont get hurt when your hype didn't equal the performances. Aribo has struggled in SE shirt before Eguavon, did you all forget ....lmao

You can't play the same personnel every game. Which team that went far in any tournament you have watched used the same starting lineup from matchday 1 to finals? Your players will get fatigued, some will pick up muscle injuries. Remeber, games are 4 days apart and the matches only get tougher and more intense.

I don't know why I'm even bringing up this permutation convo tbh, the eagles I saw against Egypt will outplay and defeat any team in this AFCON. it's only Cameron that may be a bit hard nut to crack but I still don't think they stand a chance against us

All things being equal, Nigeria na confirmed favourite for the trophy

I want Nwakali to start against Bissau. If he doesn't produce what Aribo has been producing... well it's not his fault, he is not on Aribo's level so you can't really expect the same performance.

I will be happy though if he comes close. It'll give us much desired depth from the bench going forward.

Na wa oooo. How can Osimhen win best player of the year and best attacker of the year ahead of Paul Onuachu who had 29 goals (in the league), 4 assists and 7 motm last year?

Or ahead of Kelechi Iheanacho who scored 19 goals, 8 assists and with more than 2 motms?

Was it by the 10 goals, 4 assists and 2 Motm Osimhen had last that made him win those categories or na by pure undiluted sentiment?

Because me I no understand oooo.

It's not Aribo v Nwakali
That's what muddies the water. It's all about improving the quality of our play. I am an Aribo fan but it does not mean when Nwakali plays better than him I will shut my eyes to it. Truth is that we should never desire that any of our players should have a bad game. A chain is as strong as its weakest link

Weather is always one of the several factors why they dominate each time the AFCON is hosted in North Africa. You cannot rule that out. When a tournament is played elsewhere you see them struggling.
Why was Egypt able to defy the weather and conquer Africa in 1998(Burkina Faso) 2008(Ghana) and Angola(2010)....bro north African team strength lies in Egypt, the other ones are jus ekuke trying to mingle with consistent African Heavy weight...it's not necessarily the weather

Awoniyi himself didn't really impress with almost 45 mins of game time against CAR in Lagos, but see how well he is doing here.

Sadiq came in 72' against Egypt, 82' against Sudan. That's 26 minutes of gametime so far in the tournament. That's too small to judge a player on, especially if he has not been given a chance to start.

Let him start. If he performs poorly first half chop him off and put Olayinka in as CF. We are so lucky to have a dead rubber game, let's use the opportunity well.
