Club World Cup. Mendy won the Club World Cup too

The EPL is also rated higher than the Serie A for a reason.

Once again, would Mendy have won this award if he had won the AFCON and come second in his league?

You are deviating and answering questions nobody asked you

Yes or No. Would they have given Mendy this award if he won the AFCON?

Oh I forgot the club world cup, very significant cup and why would I answer if Mendy has won the Afcon when he has not won it

It is very funny that the only time black people remember that emotional blackmail is a thing, is when it is time for them to elevate one of their own.

I have never seen a race that is so Anti themselves outside of the Negroid race. Na why dem use their hand sell each other during slave trade. Some people just exist to sell out their people.

I agree with everything you said here except the bolded.

Many don't realise how difficult it is to make good connection with the ball with your weaker foot.

Salah and Messi have two of the most useless right foots among top players.

So from his weaker foot, we have to manage the crosses coming from that left hand side.

Bro, left footed wingers on the Left and right footed wingers on the right is considered by many to be outdated. Switching them around allows them to cut in more directly on goal rather than run to the byline to cross.

It's the same reason why right footed players usually take the corners on the left and left footed players usually take corners on the right. They deliver in-swingers that are more of a threat on goal.

You cannot answer the question, because you know nobody would give an African player FIFA Best because he won his continental competition, but an European can get the award on that basis over someone that won more trophies in a more balanced competition.

You have answered the question, thank you for your time.

You think elevating ourselves is disregarding our choices and making blind decisions instead of putting in performances that will dwarf our competitors shows how you think

You are the worst example of the anti- blackness you talk about, instead of being competitive and dominating no rather we use nepotism and blackmail and see how far it gets us smh

Sad but true. We always want to prove that we are not bias and that leads to us discriminating against our own most times.

This is a position that we all know how hard it is for Africans to play in overseas and we see one of our own not only making it but excelling. The pride of his achievement alone should have galvanised people to vote for him.

Lol. Why you feeling for him I'm not at all interested in his progress nor am I trying to drag him down. Everything I attacked from the beginning were the points he raised. He said we worship foreign countries and talked about Emmett Till. I called BS on that.

He told me I had no idea on what I was saying Abt the US. I showed him how wrong he was and how he doesn't sound like he ever lived there.

He made another statement leaving evidence and I proved my point. He started saying he lives in Gabon, EQ. Who asked him all that

Naturally people want and tend to appear bigger than they actually are on social media and it's normal. Personally I don't believe he lives in the US because I see so many evidences that makes it very unlikely. But whether I'm wrong or not, that's not what I should bother myself with. Many people do that on Nairaland.

My only issue is that he postulates prejudices with his so-called "US experience", thereby deriding other Nigerian players he hates with "facts" and feeling smart.

I love all our Nigerian players so if he keeps doing that, I'll have no option than troll him for my personal satisfaction.

Keep quiet. You did not show me any wrong. This is embarrassing. I stayed on this thread for many years with first the Nri priest handle , then ODENIGBOAROLI ,OMANBALA , IDENNAA and sometimes OMANAMBALA , but you didn't know I was in the U.S. because I am a very simple guy.

It was my conversation with KOMEKN that made me said I lived abroad. On that day many people like you cried for reasons I don't understand. You are so pained I live in the U.S. you can't even hide your sadness.

You went straight and attacked my person because you were butthurt over America. What a guy....lmao

Somebody like you would probably poison an Obodo Oyibo returnee just because you are sad. You are shamelessly questioning my base just like Donald Trump who tells himself Obama is a terrorist....you are so pitiful.

Well , you won't be the first because komkn believe I live in Burkina Faso and has never left Africa. Buncha clowns...lol

Miss me with the hypothetical bullsh1t, one question, has Mendy won the Afcon, no why are you even making it the point of the argument when it has not even happened, why don't you advocate for the keeper that has won the Caf Champions league to be on the same pedestal with Mendy since you care so much about Africa

History is subject to change
You dont hold a view that is not scientifically proven after several trials and hypothesis like it is done in the scientific environment or lab with so much seriousness and hate

When you try make projections from history you leave place for possibility of changes or contrary results

You need to let go of your rigid and parochial nature... That's why many of us here doubt your claim you reside in US because Some one well exposed and knowledgeable won't be throwing words and vile like a man that have never been to the classroom

years ago Nigeria dont have many of this foreign born players like it is now reason because the influx of Nigerians to Europe and America was enmass after babagida failed SAP program where the Country was subject to hardship and inflation...lot of Nigerians whisked out of the country and it has been in droves since then...this Nigerians like every other humans have kids too and this kids like you and I have no choice but to identify with their father's country and culture and with the Nigeria law they're Nigerians and can participate in sports, politics and more... That's why the quest for Nigeria born abroad to identify with nigeria in economics, politics and sports will keep increasing because Nigerians are leaving the country in numbers everyday their offspring will one day wanna identify with Nigeria

in Nigeria basket ball team for example most of the players were born and groomed in America and we are reaping the fruits so I believe football same will happen as we harness both FB and home groomed.

Maturity is not revealed in age... you need to do better Mazi

Oga , I don't understand you one bit. I said therr history with SE is very uninspiring. If you don't learn from history they will repeat themselves. You don't need to write that empty post that is off point.

Don't mind him, A Nigerian is a Nigerian regardless of where they were born. If they decide to represent their country of birth then it is their choice after all there are a lot of players born in Nigeria that go on to play for other countries.

Exactly.

There have been multiple Donnarumas over the years, but there has not been a Mendy.

Finally, an African player is in prime position in world football, and still, some of his people decided to vote for the guy that it's just another award for his people.

I honestly think that some Africans choose to remain blissfully ignorant to how skewered the world is for them. They are literally at the bottom of the totem pole, and they still walk around thinking they have privileges others do and can afford to take chances other races do. You think white men got to the top by abandoning their own when it was time for a push?

They can afford to vote based on merit, because they are at that top and nobody is pushing them down, you wey still dey hustle wan come dey follow your senior dey do unbiased.

Anyway, I'm glad the right person won the award finally. He wasn't going to lose out on the award twice.

This will be good for other African goalies coming up and it will be a boost for their careers, from Onana to Okoye, one of their own has broken the ceiling and it will help give them the right boost to follow through. That is the most important thing in all this for me.

Donnarunma earned that award by every metric if we are arguing by footballing merits he was the best player at Euros and had a stellar season now its up to the discretion of the voters to choose who had a better season this your argument about robbing your brother is emotional blackmail and nepotism and it is not a good way of convincing anybody that Mendy deserved the award, if at the end his performance convinced majority that he had a better year so be it but trying to hold people hostage on their votes is not it
You're correct. All these things about "African brothers" is racism. We should award based on merit.

Simon Moses is not a suspect , he has done extremely well , he just need to work on his crosses. There is no complete player anywhere. so? Are we not saying the same thing? I mentioned one area of his game he needs to improve and here you're using the same point to disagree with me.

We've not had decent crosses in two games. Or rather put, we haven't had goal threatening crosses in both games.

I watched the Malawi and Mali team, they've done more on that aspect than us. have the most goal threats from crosses alone than any other team. Abou is experienced to really make the most out of positioning.
I have nothing against Simon bro.. I'm just saying his crosses have not been up to par recently.

One is an unreasonable hate for another group

The other is love for your own people over others.

Racism is bad. Ethnocentrism is good.

The Japanese for instance, are ethnocentric, they are not racist.

Not everything is racist, and wanting people who look like you to get their well deserved accolades, can NEVER be racism
