Lol, Nigeria. I was using an FCMB card to make payment online the other day and I got "sorry, we don't accept cards from that country". I just shook my head.

Hello house good day. God bless everyone contributing to this forum. Please I need some help. Have applied for the schools I want on the admission portal for 3 years BSC programs. waiting to hear back by April. My questions are

1, if I am to demonstrate proof of funds, will it be cost of living for 13months plus the remaining 5 semesters on my account or just cost of living and the 2 semester fee of the first year? because we have 6 semester in 3 years program. And your first installment payment is one semester fee out of the 1st year.

2. How many months statements do I have to provide for the application?

3. Is there other options I can do prove of funds? Because the percentage of these agents charges that puts money in Your accounts to apply for a student visas is crazy.

Thank you guys for your time in advance

Hello everyone, please who can help me answer this?

On the university admissions website, it mentions that university admissions checks the authenticity of my documents with the issuing institution which would be the school I went to here in Nigeria. As checked my documents page and it says there is a document received by post which I believe to be my transcripts sent from my school to the provided email.

Please who knows when this verification normally happens so that I would be able to contact my school and have them reply in a timely manner so that it does not hinder my application in any way.

1. Proof of funds is for the period of permit you are applying for, if you are applying for 1yr study permit, then u show 1 year, u can add more money though

2. 1 month statement but not earlier than 3 months of your expected study permit start date

3. Bank loans

This can’t be true, this is totally opposite from what’s on their website concerning students from Nigeria.

Please how did you arrive at this?

The document wasn't received by post , it was received by email to verifications@uhr.se, that's Thier way of response. I have such email when my university sent my transcript by email to verifications@uhr.se.

Please does this mean my transcripts have been sent to universityadmissions.se?
At what stage will they start verification?
I'm really confused...

You mind sharing the page where Nigerians are still eligible for mailing verification?

Yes I know, thank you very much.

I was just wondering when the verification happens because I watched a video and the lady was like If university admissions tries to verify your documents and probably the university does not confirm it can affect your application.

I think they is no other verification other than recieving that transcript directly from your school. That's what we heard during the Lund university webinar. Especially for Nigeria.

Thanks boss, I appreciate but I’m still not clear about your answer.

1 if you say , I should demonstrate 1 year on my proof of funds, if I am doing 1 year. So I would demonstrate 3 years as I am doing 3 years program? Or I will only demonstrate the balance of my second semester of my tuition fee from the first year plus one year cost of living for 1 year?

2, so if my study date is August 29, admission notice comes April And I have plans to apply by may ending or 1st of July Which months Statements am I to submit?

1) The date range not the school fees. You are requested for living expenses to show you can carter for yourself

2. Start from any month till when you want to apply , the statement should not sha end before May e.g January, February March April , advisable to keep the statement simple and not gather 20 pages. If you are applying May ending , u can use April 29th to May 29th. Assuming you are applying May 30th

Le me drop this one here:

If you are called for an interview, please buckle up and don't take it casually. Be prepared. I applied for a Spring programme and got interviewed for over 80 minutes at the embassy. Whether or not it has to do with the fact that I had 75% percent scholarship, I can't still say till now or they have decided to tighten up a little on their immigration policy. It could possibly also be my personal experience independent on either of those stated points . My programme is one-year MBA programme. If you are applying for the next intake, also make sure you apply early. Cheers.

As much as I know, we are only required to demonstrate balance for 1 year living expenses it doesn't matter if we are going for 3 years programme but always good to add more funds if possible.
PS: I am applying to 3 years bachelor programme as well.

Regarding your second question I believe that information is on the Swedish immigration website. I will recheck.

Hello, good morning

Please anyone who has paid their application fee, what bank did you use or how did you go about it ?

I have seen some mention of some methods but there is no actual confirmation by anybody on what works except the method of getting someone abroad to pay for you.

Please if anyone has done it from Nigeria and it worked , i would appreciate if you could share how you got it done.

Thank you

I did mine from Nigeria and I used Transferwise. I credited my transferwise USD account by using my Zenith Mastercard, then converted the USD to SEK directly on wise platform before sending the application fee to University admission account

You must have used a USD zenith card because last time I checked, naira debit cards are banned!

Actually I used a naira debit card, I tried other bank's debit cards but they were rejected by Transferwise. Surprisingly Zenith Naira Mastercard worked.

Congratulations brother!

Was Umea University your first priority and which course were you offered admission?

I got the offer for the masters programme in Accounting.

Please did you apply for Umea University Scholarship?
What specifically do they look out for in their motivation letter?
Thank you
