Wow ...what a terrible landlord. So the landlord could not provide white goods for rental. Na wah

Never heard a tenant providing fridge, washing machine... I get unfurnished but unfurnished should come with white goods .
Not necessarily. We didn't have washing machine in our last house. We had to buy one and a fridge because the fridge there was antiquated.

Depending on the previous owner, that may not be a bad thing o.
Let me check if my "hot" neighbour is selling their mattress, I want to confirm something. grin

I am thinking the same too. The landlord always provides white goods except the tenant declines.

Download Dingtone from Google Playstore, watch several adverts and it will give free credit to call anywhere. Been using for awhile and never paid a dime

If you have a EE contract, call them and get a 1 month international package for £10,

You can call Nigeria as any times you want in that month

Remember to cancel the contract if you do not need it anymore

Some of them are like that. Though mine had white goods, it was after I moved in the landlord was telling me if anything happens, I would bear the cost of repairs that the fridge and washing machine were left by a former tenant and not his business. I just told him point blank that it won't happen and that he will bear it. You can't advertise a house with white goods, demand a rent based on that and tell me nonsense. Some landlords don't mind letting you a chicken house as long as their rent is coming in.

I was trying to emphasise the point that you didnt pay a dime. If I have spare time on my hands, I would not use it to watch ads. However, it works for you. Sweet!

Nne, I don’t know how buoyant you are. I came to uk with full family. Got an unfurnished 3 bedroom, you mean I would buy all things new? Let me tell you what I did here in Coventry. I went to a Charity Shop, Emmaus, got three used beds and foams, full Living room sofa and one wardrobe for £420. They even delivered it the following day. I went to Facebook marketplace and got a double sized Fridge for £110, washing machine free, microwave £20. They are all working perfectly. Lass lass I am going now to lemigton spa to pick pressing ion for £5. I bought bedsheets and douvet brand new from Argos. We dey sleep well in the three rooms on the three beds perfectly.

So I furnished that house with less than £700. I was even regretting why I bought those foams because in my neighborhood since I came in late December , I have seen plenty foams free to collect here. My next door neighbour just brought out a freezer outside for anyone to take.

What if the house you came into was earlier furnished with bed and foam? You go thruway am? You no dey sleep for hotel?

loool

Guys, has anyone here managed to withdraw their pension funds from Nija without a physical visit?..

I figure it makes sense to move the available fraction (it is 50% abi?) to an ISA here...make the money no de depreciate anyhow..
