50/50 on a team that has already lost 2 games. There’s history and there’s current team

The fact they lost 2 games is not a realistic yardstick to measure a rivalry. What counts now, to them, and to our team, is that they're in the round of 16. It is left for us to do our job rightly as a team.

All is set! Tout est pret! The road to Yaounde starts now!

All things being equal, we should be able to qualify for the semis at least..

I pray Covid-19 would not happen to our team, that thing could be devastating. embarassed

These Ekperimas have started littering this thread with their fears of Tunisia winning Nigeria on Sunday. When will they realise that we have gone past the era of Rohr where we watch our matches trembling. The crop of players in Cameroon are not there to gallivant but to win. You will be surprised to see non Nigerians rooting for the super Eagles to win this trophy. It is only here that some people will be propagating doom against our team.

Simon is not a good set piece taker....by the way his delivery is still poor. He is , however, a good dribbler with enormous energy and stamina. End product is still poor!!

Simon Moses had two assist from corner kick last AFCON yet he is a poor setpiece taker. Quite funny cheesy. Simon Moses is our best winger argue with your keyboard.
In the order of our best setpiece I will take
Ihenacho and Simon ahead of nwakali.

Nigerian vs Tunisia is 50/50.

Both team have a history of rivalry.

The better side who is more hungry will win.

And I hope that's Nigeria.

50/50 for a team with such a horrendous statistic in the group stage?

50/50? Who dem be?

The only teams that can talk about 50/50 on any given day, irrespective of current form where Nigeria is, are Ghana and Cameroon. We no get any history of rivalry with any North African team

This makes our 1st place finish all the more important. Staying in Garoua for the next two rounds reduces our travel, therefore reducing our risk of contracting COVID-19 wink

Astrid4 is a Igbo hating tribalist....KOMEKN is NOT tribalistic. I have receipts of his hate speeches against Igbo. Such man should not be respected.

I will rather be ethnocentric than being a racist...I never had an hate speech against the igbos...I only stated the obvious.
T for thanks.

it’s normal, most people on twitter too think Sodiq is in the team because of quota system. Ignorant people are everywhere

because the globalists used the ref that blew whistle before 90mins to penetrate CAF and control the officiating of some matches.

If you question them they'll use that referee that blew before 90 mins to say Africans can't officiate a competitive match.
This your Conspiracy theory gets as it be..

Are you insinuating that CAF calls in Refs as the tournament progresses?

These Refs were already called up before the tournament started..

Is it that we can't get the referees that can handle AFCON within Africa or what?

Baba, drop the agenda.

They are guest referees from CONCACAF, the continental football authority for North, Central America and the Caribbean region and are present in the AFCON as part of an inter-confederation skills exchange program between CAF & CONCACAF.

I see nothing wrong in it.

I want AFCON to develop to the level where teams from other confederations are invited to participate just like is obtainable in the Copa America & Gold Cup.

Okay.
Nigeria currently is the team to beat, Tunisia has 2 red cards today with 12 players out with COVID-19 (whether they'll recover before Sunday is another story entirely).

Give or take, the game is ours to lose. It's time to really make a statement you know (roar it).

If you're on Twitter search for @Lotfiwada and see how scared to the marrow the Tunisians are

That's very true.

I believe the players and their handlers are also taking some necessary precautions too. But in the real sense, some people still get the viruses despite taking all the necessary precautions lipsrsealed.

May we not be unfortunate, amen grin

The core Northerners are making noise

If they are so desperate for Northern representation, is Sanusi not a human being from the North?

They must all be mad.

The same Sanusi folks here called Aboki with pace but no brain?

You are the ones being tribalistic with d Sadiq stuff in all honesty. Criticize his abysmal performance without dragging his tribe or using quota system or calling him cow.

How many Northerners are even complaining they don't have representatives?

Okay.

I do not consider this a history of rivalry with anybody

The only rivalry we have is that both teams are called Eagles

Na you been come here with stories of Doom before AFCON started. You never too show for here since we started winning, but time for Round of 16 and you're back with your tales of Doom.

I don't rate Tunisia and we don't have any rivalry with them that I acknowledge

I have never seen folks so tribal and biased ridden like those folks reason. Now i believe the quota system claim.

You're one of them I guess. If the quota system noise is true, then both of them got invitation through it since they both play in the same league.

Onuachu and Awo will push each other for that 2nd spot. Recall Onuachu was number 2 coming into this Afcon before injury struck and was even next to Osimhen and Ighalo when Iggy returned. Whoever wins the battle falls to 3rd spot for good and try to hold off the others pushing from outside the top 3 choices.

Ofcos no one is talking about Iheanacho because he is the undisputed SS of the team and plays a major role in attack in our current tactical setup.

humility33:

Doc. Awoniyi is undisputed Second spot striker

Onauchu can battle with another resurgence striker for the 3rd spot

My opinion though

There was no agenda intended.

Regarding the last paragraph, no top teams from other confederation will join afcon maybe in the distant future but not any time soon.

Like that Copa America scenario, I'm not sure we will be having it because there are too many teams in CAF unlike in CONMEBOL where there are only 10 teams.
